No. iCloud is not a backup and Photo Stream has 1000 photos and 1 month limitation.
You can use Dropbox app for that.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with using cards for permanent photo storage, as long as they're well labeled .
Same technology at the core as an SSD hard drive.
It's unconventional, but I'm assuming you are too or you wouldn't be asking the question.
My advice? - knock yourself out (so to speak)...
No need for smart previews on the road if you can carry your originals in your shirt pocket .
My only reservation would be about filling them up - I have 3TB hard drives, which have plenty of room for all photos, a 128GB card would not.
Here's one idea (if you do run the risk of overfill):
* Keep whole photo collection (original source files) on a single rotating (and big) hard drive.
* Keep catalog, presets, ..., and smart previews on SD card (regular previews too if they'll fit, otherwise relocate them).
Then when you travel, you just pop out the card and take it with you, plug it back in when you return - no need for copying files anywhere, or catalog export/import. Of course you could do the same thing with an esata thumb drive...
If I ever get back to traveling, I may consider this arrangement myself - thanks for bringing it up.
PS - you have backups, so if your card only lasts 2 years, instead of 10, you can always toss it in the garbage and populate a new card from backup. I mean, same drill as if photos on spinning drive...

There are no restrictions on the file types you can store in Creative Cloud. However, you’ll be unable to share some file types, such as audio, video, fonts, executable, and application extensions. Sharing of these files is restricted for copyright and security reasons.

Can iCloud be used with a Mac that has been upgraded to it's full capacity with snow leopard if you are using it with an ipad2 and iPhone 4 ( with upgraded system)?

If you have joined iCloud on your iPad, this will be the situation on your Snow Leopard Mac:
You will be able to access email, calendar and contacts on the iCloud website at http://icloud.com provided your browser is reasonably up-to-date.
You will not be able to sync contacts or bookmarks from a pre-Lion Mac.
You will be able to enter the server settings for email manually in the Mail application and access your email. A pictorial instruction page on doing this is here.
You will not be able to sync your calendars directly.
Some people have been able to set up calendar syncing by using the method detailed here - this is an unsupported hack and may not be reliable, and may stop working at some future point. BusyCal is an iCal-like calendar application with extra facilities: it can sync with the iCloud Calendar while running on Leopard, Snow Leopard or Lion.
There appears to be no method of syncing contacts (though Address Book on a Mac can be synced with Google or Yahoo address books - I don't know how reliable this is)

You can start work on your game from the moment you download and complete the installation of the Trial version.
No-one will be standing over you watching what you do or monitoring you remotely or noting when you pay for the software.
You can buy the software at any time during the Trial period. However, after a maximum 30 days of using the Trial, you will have to pay to keep using the software.
Other than that, do what you like with the Trial.

This is probably a dumb question on my part, but you are in the UK iTunes Store and using a credit card issued by a UK bank with a UK billing address, yes? If not, tell us what country you're in and what country your card is from and billed to, and someone can probably steer you in the right direction or at least provide an explanation.

Sorry but that makes no sense.
The Lion install files are not stored on your computer so they can't be damaged. When using the Lion Recovery HD and you want to Re-Install Lion the install files are downloaded from the internet before the actual install begins.
If at one time you saved the Lion install files, secifically the InstallESD.DMG, and created your own Lion Install USB thumb drive and that is what you are booting from then this same type of thing has happened to me.
If you can't boot to the current Lion install, or you wiped your hard drive, you can try booting to the included Recovery HD and then download and install Lion or try the Online Internet Recovery HD system by holding down the Command+r keys OR the Command+Option+r keys when starting the system. One of those keyboard combos will take you to the online Lion Recovery system where you can download and install Lion.

Some can, some cannot. Most iPhone apps can be used on an iPad (though not all), but the reverse is true less often. Check the specifications and system requirements for the app you're interested in. You can easily add the app, presuming it's compatible, of course, to any new iPhone without additional charge either by synching it from iTunes or by downloading the app again from the iTunes Store.
