Can image metadata be a live link on a site?

There is a photo portal. I upload images and I notice that the description and some other metada, shows as text below the photo.
Is it possible to have that text below the photo be a live link to a website? i.e. anchor text going out. thanks.

I am sorry, but I fail to see what you are getting upset about.
The reason that I am asking for a link because there is evidently something wrong, yet we did not get enough information to be able to determine as to what did go wrong. A link to your web site will supply the info that will help us to help you.

I can't open new tabs from links in a site, while it is possible from chrome.

In this site http://www.thepressproject.gr/ I can't open the links in new tabs, while for the same site using chrome I can. When I right click on the link, i don't have the usual options (open in new tab, open in new window, bookmark etc.). It is as if it doesn't "see" the links at all and the options are for the main page.

That is a really strange issue. I've never heard of it before nor can I figure out how to fix it. What I'd recommend doing is disabling all your add-ons to see if that fixes the problem. If it does, one of your add-ons is causing the issue. If it doesn't, try [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|starting Firefox is Safe Mode]] to see if the issue disappears. If the problem doesn't happen in Safe Mode, it's a problem with something that runs in Firefox when you start it normally (could be settings, plug-ins, add-ons, etc). If you can't figure out what is causing the problem in Safe Mode or you know the problem but can't solve it, the easiest thing to do is to [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems|reset Firefox]] or completely reinstall Firefox, described below:

Can I list all invalid *internal* links within a site?

Hi,
we are automatically migrating content from LiveLink WCMS to CQ5. After the migration process there will be a small number of links (in text) which point to resources (mostly PDF) but contain errors. We would like to automatically determine all occurences of invalid internal links and list them for manual correction.
But there seems to be only the external link checker, which produces a list (and we need internal links to be checked).
And the usual internal link check seems to be active only during page authoring (and does not produce lists across all pages).
Is there such a thing (or can it be easily built) like an internal link checker which crawls the whole site?

The web page says firefox for android can be installed by clicking the link on the site but the only link that shows up is for googleplay.

I do not use googleplay. I choose firefox specifically to avoid google. How can i download directly, since the app is not available on amazon?

You can always download the latest version of Firefox from here:
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/latest/android/ pick locale
Once installed, Firefox will check for and download updates automatically - you can control this behaviour by going to the menu - > Settings -> Customise -> Download updates automatically.
You can also check for updates manually by going to the menu -> Mozilla -> About Firefox -> Check for updates

Can one make a template with live links?

I have a simple .htm file with 5 links going out, created with image map tool.
I'm going to create 80 similar pages, but different names, titles etc.
Is there a way to have a template with live links retained? (inserting a new jpeg image map each time)
Currently, I'm dragging in the big jpeg and re-creating the squares on it, and corresponding links out.
I don't imagine a template is possible for this, but it's good to ask. thanks.

I'm still not sure I understand what you need. Sounds like the image map is the same for all the pages, but the image itself is different, although the images are the same size on each page. Is that it?
In that case, you could do this in a number of ways, but the best might be -
Make the page have a transparent PNG/GIF image the same size as the map that has the 5 mapped areas defined on it. Make the container for that image have a CSS BACKGROUND image that is the actual map. Specify this CSS background image's path in an embedded stylesheet in the editable region of the head of the page.
With this as the template, all you need to do on each page is to respecify the background image - since the embedded stylesheet is in an editable region that's do-able. In other words the TEMPLATE would be -

     <img width="map_width" height="map_height" src="transparent.png" usemap="#foomap">

The map image can, itself, be in an uneditable region of the page....

What you are experiencing is 100% related to Malware.

Can I set Connect meeting background as a WebPage that contains live links?

We're looking to harness the Adobe Connect meeting functionality by using it as a kind of a customers portal, where the user can (among other things) retrieve reports relating to their workflow.
PRESENT STATE
Our organisation has a Report Web Application that lists reports (in pdf) that are mailed out to our customers. The administrator assistant generates reports from an https page from the Report Web Application.
FUTURE STATE (hopefully!)
1. Our organisation administrator sets up as many meetings in Connect as there are customers. Each customer has only one meeting. None of the other customers can see the others' meetings.
2. On entry to the Connect meeting, the customer will be able to access the Report Web Application as a webpage and download the reports she requires
My big questions here:
1. Can we publish a webpage (with live links) in Connect?
2. We'd like to encrypt the Connect meeting room webpage for best possible security. Is it possible to encrypt (https) some meetings but not others? If so, what extra things do we need to do this. PKI Infrastructure?
3. Report Web Application is encrypted, will that make a difference to displaying t within an Adobe Connect meeting?
4. Is there any problem if the clicking a Report Web Application links generates a pdf.?
Other information:
-The Connect server is housed in our network if that makes any difference.
-The Web Reporting Application is pictured below. Clicking the 'Download' link will generate\display a pdf
-It will most likely need to be an encrypted webpage

Unfortunately, the answer is, you don't. The requirements for HTML displayed in an e-mail reader are very different than those for HTML displayed in a browser. The output of Muse won't work as an HTML e-mail. You could upload the Muse site as a website and provide a link to it in an e-mail, but the HTML generated by Muse is not suitable for direct display by an e-mail program.

You can try a package named: JTwain, which is available at http://asprise.com/product/jtwain.
JTwain supports all kinds of digital cameras and scanners. You can use Java to access, contorl digital cameras and scanners, and of course, to acquire images with flexible settings.

In the simplest case, one line of Java code can solve your problem.

Can someone describe to me how to make a JPEG file into a live link?

A little more explanation. I have a client who wants live links in her email signature. I have individual Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest JPEG's that need to be placed into her Outlook Signature Editor. When each icon is clicked in the signature, I need them to open to Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Can anyone tell me how to do this in PhotoShop?

Thanks again John. I figured it out for Mac Mail. Maybe this will help someone else. Place the icon in your Mac Mail signature editor, select it, Go to “Edit" > "Add Link” > (a space comes up for you to place your link.) Place the appropriate link and hit “OK”.

OpenText is a company providing different document management and archiving solutions. LiveLink is one of their archiving solutions. (Just use Google for more reference.)
My guess is that you need to work with a workflow process that involves archiving of scanned invoices.

Hello Chow,
LiveLink offers a wide range of functionalities in terms of Document Archiving.
Normally, in huge corporates, you will find central data/document archiving servers supporting various IT projects.
In the context of LiveLink, the documents that needs to be archived or retrieved from the archiving server is normally carried out through the front-end Viewer provided by Livelink based on the OS. The underlying technology is termed as ArchiveLink (off late this is part of CMS - Content Management Service)
The configuration that you might be creating is nothing but
a) creation of content repositories (OAC0) along with Protocol/application maintenence (OAA3/OAA4)

Try posting in the QuickTime for Mac forum. You'll be more likely to get help there than you will here in the QuickTime for Windows forum. You might also try asking in the Flip4Mac forums (I presume you're using the Flip4Mac codecs to do the WMV export).
