Can iMovie 10 and iMovie 09 apps and projects co-exist together?

Before I make the upgrade to iMovie 10, could anyone who's done it, answer some questions?
When I upgrade to iMovie 10, will the old iMovie 09 app still exist? I've already updated the other iLife apps (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) and their old versions appear in the /Applications/iWork '09 folder. I just want to make sure iMovie 09 will be be saved there as well
When I go through the upgrade process, will I be forced to upgrade my projects to the new iMovie 10 format, or will I be given the option to leave them alone?
Once I begin using iMovie 10 to create new projects, will I still be able to start up iMovie 09 and work on my 09 projects?

I would recommend deleting your iMovie Library, and delete all files in that same folder and subfolders that have something to do with "updatedtoimovie10" or something similar. Empty out your trash.
Then try opening up iMovie 10 again, with your external plugged in. If it doesn't prompt you to update, then go to File > Update Projects and Events, with your ext. drive plugged.

However, after doing some research (as a person who has some projects on external and some on local drive), I decided to start from scratch with iMovie 10, and use iMovie 9.0.9 (which Apple allowed to be still installed on your system...i wonder why....) to access former projects on my local and external).

You need to set up a separate iCloud account for each person that does not want to share their iCloud data. Yes, I was referring to the iTunes ID not needing to be the same as the ID used for iCloud. In order to set up an Apple ID your children will need to have a valid email address that can be verified by Apple. Apple requires this so they have a way of contacting the owner if there is a problem with the account, such as when you may need to reset the password on the account. When you set up the ID, Apple will send a verification email to this email account and you will need to click on the verificating link in the email to complete the process. If they don't currently have an email account you can just set one up with gmail or another free email hosting service. They don't have to use the account but you will need it to set up the ID.

Just turning off Cloud will not prevent him from turning it back on.
Rignt now, if he uses the App store, iTunes thinks it's talking to me.

First, turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account, while your sim is still in the phone. Then: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. Give it to your grandson & he gat then set it up as he wants.
Important your turn iMessage & FaceTime off to disassociate the phone from your Apple ID. Apple "claims" to have fixed this with iOS 6.0, but until I can absolutely confirm such, I still recommend you turn all of that stuff off first.

You can delete apps (which will also delete their content), but they will only be redownloadable whilst they remain in your country's store - none of your iTunes downloads (apps, music, ibooks etc) use any of your iCloud storage, iCloud is for your backups (e.g. app's content, camera roll photos, messages, homescreen layout).
To delete an app, press and hold any of the apps and after a couple of seconds or so they should start to shake. Then press the 'x' in the left corner to delete the ones that you don't want, and when you've finished deleting press the home button so as to stop the shaking. If you don't get the 'x' on any of the apps that you've downloaded (you can't delete built-in apps) then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps isn't set 'off'
You can delete photos from your iPad, but if you want them back then you should copy them to your computer first.

You can also copy your downloads (apps, music, films etc) to your computer's iTunes by connecting your iPad and/or iPhone to it and doing File > Devices > Transfer Purchases.

TS1702 how can I delete camera app and reload?

I don't want to have to restore my phone just to reload the camera app. for some reason the app opens to blank screen. if I use the slide to camera, it works properly but that feature doesn't have the option to forward, send, etc photos. anyone got a solution as to how I can delete the camera app and reload it?

You can't delete any of the pre-installed apps. Try a reset:
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release.
If that doesn't change things, a restore from backup is the next step.

Try using the Spotligh search feature on the iPod. To get there, swipe the Home screen fully to the right.
Also, if they are Games, they could be in the Game Center.folder

You probably cannot get a refund, since as RG said the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:

It's possible they'll make an exception for you, something more likely if the app does not perform as advertised.

Can I remove Mail.app and retain Thunderbird functionality?

MacBook Pro 15" Retina, 500g drive, 8g ram. VM with Parallels 8/Win7 and Bootcamp with the identical Win 7 installation.
Nearly two months after receiving my lovely MacBook in October last year, my Mail app quit receiving mail. I could send, but nothing came in. Pop3 accounts on digital cable service.
I asked about it here and was answered with the recommendation to use Thunderbird. No looking back, it's great. I have used it before on Win XP long ago, but didn't have server based e-mail accounts then so I used it as the prime client on a Toshiba machine. Since then, I have started a website and am allowed ten e-mail accounts so I just go to the server or use Thunderbird. Thunderbird out of convenience, and the server if I am not at home on my network. I won't go into it here. A Charter Communications issue.
So, here is the question, and the subject asks the same thing. Can I remove Mail.app from my machine and retain functionality in Thunderbird? Additionally, can I remove Mail.app and reinstall it from here if I desire to test it or end up with issues if I do remove it?
The reason I want to do this is due to clicking on e-mail links and having Mail open and ask me to set it up. I have no desire or need to use it. I have been copy/pasting the link, but I am really tired of it. I want to click and see Thunderbird go to work for me.
So, another question, how do I get all xxxx@xxxxx,com/net/org links to open Thunderbird instead of Mail if that is a better solution?

BTW, I looked around the boards and found nothing even close to this. I posted to this board because it seems to be the right place for this issue since it is a system app.

Can I specify both /app and /apptest as context roots for my app?

Greetings everyone.
I want requests for both http://host/app/stuff and http://host/apptest/stuff to be handled by the same application.
I don't want to make the application context root the domain root.
Can I specify both /app and /apptest as context roots for the app in its sun-web.xml file or somewhere somehow?
Is this an app server specific thing?
