Can Infinity have an effect other equipment attach...

Expert advice needed PLEASE!
I am not sure if I am posting this question in the right forum! I am an existing BT BB customer with BT Vision (for many years) & everything has worked fine but have recently upgraded to BT Infinity. This may be purely co-incidence but ever since I had infinity installed my DVD's will not play properly through my TV!
I have 2 DVD players attached to the TV, one is a Sony surround sound system & the other is a DVD player & recorder. They will both still play DVD's through the TV with the BT vision box attached but on both machines they will now only play back in Black & White & there is a fuzzy pink & green stripe going across in the background.
As said it is only since infinity installation, all was fine before. I have not changed any of the set up information. I have checked all connections & set up on TV just in case something had changed & cannot find any obvious problems! In settings both are set to AV & not S-VIDEO which some have said can cause a black & white playback. Have tested both DVD players on another stand alone TV & they work fine so it is not the players. The TV works fine with the BT Vision Box & BT Vision is fine so it seems to be something that has gone wrong with the playback or set up since the change to infinity! TV does recognise both players as said they will play in B&W!
Has anyone else experienced or come across this problem before or can anyone give advice on what could possibly have caused this. I have searched the internet & checked all 3 user manuals! Have checked that all connections are pushed in properly & tried simply switching everything off & then restarting in the hope that the problem would clear but this hasn't worked either!

Thanks for the above responses. I did kind of think this problem should not have anything to do with Infinity but it seemed to be the only thing that I had changed since I have had this problem...... I am clutching at straws really!! 
Neither of the players are internet capable or wireless! I did try switching them both off then only trying one at a time & they are both only playing back in B&W with the fuzzy pink/green stripe so I know it cannot be to do with either machine! I also tried with the vision box switched off but still attached to the TV & internet.
I will try the suggestion of disconnecting the vision box from the internet & leaving attached to the TV to see what happens. If this doesn't work then really not sure what to do next other than to buy a new TV!

    I am making the switch from PC and am just trying to lower the pitch of a vocal track by at least an octave; I just got a MBP last week and am running GB 10.0.2. I can't find any info on similar problems that is helpful; most solutions I've come across show that when the track is selected, there should be a pitch shift bar with a sliding button, but I do not have that. I read a lot of people saying something about the track being purple or not, but I'm not sure if that's relative to the version I have or if that has anything to do with what's happening. When I select the track, in the little area toward the lower left when "Track" is selected, (what is that space called?) where the pitch shift option is for other people, I only have a sliding bar for Pitch Correction, and a checkbox for Limit to Key and Enable Flex. When "Region" is selected, it just shows the name of the region and there are no options. Another question I have is how to change the pitch of midi sounds? When the keyboard is open on the screen I have tried moving the little octave shifter, but it assigns the sounds that are on the keyboard at different locations if I move it, so it changes the sound completely. A couple of them shift one octave up or down, but there are no actual controls..
    I'm mostly just dabbling with EDM/trap/Hiphop tracks at the moment, but am confused about whether or not there are other vocal effects and controls other than the preset Voice options in the instrument area (Bright vocal, Classic vocal, compressed vocal, Edge vocal, etc.)? I'm not going to be using GB forever, but are there not any other options like for current rap/trap production (phaser, balance, EQ, auto tune, choppers, actual voice altering effects, etc.) [preferably without buying extra things]? And not only vocals, but editing effects for all sounds.. If so, how do I get to them? And if not I know I should at least be able to lower or raise the pitch of a vocal recording... There are some pretty legit electronic instruments that are exactly the kind of sound I'm going for so I was surprised to not see an equally simple to access vocal effects board or something. Any additional tips for a n00b electronic music producer would also be greatly appreciated! Thank you for any help!

    In GarageBand 10 you can no longer change a track with an audio file to a "purple" audio recording, as it has been possible in GarageBand '11.
    Even, if you can make the transpose slider visible by enlarging the the track editor panel, the slider will be disabled.
    What you can do however, is either add an AuPItch filter  from the audioUnit panel or to convert your audio file to loop and to admit from the Loop Browser.
    In the new GarageBand you add the AuPitch filter from the Smart Controls.
    Enlarge the SmartControl panel by dragging the dividing line upwards, until you see the Audio Units brick, then add an Apple Audio Unit and set it to AuPitch.
    Or create a loop from the audio file. Select the region in the track and use the command "File: Add region to Loop library". You need to trim the filet an exact number of measures.
    Set the current key and tempo, name the loop, and save the loop. Make sure, that one-shot loop is not enabled.
    Now add it from the loop browser to a new track and delete your old track. The search field in the Loop browser will help you to find the loop quickly.
    You will be able to transpose the sample  like any regular loop.

    JJMack has gotten you started with using Photoshop in post-production, but this sort of work can be easily done at the time of shooting.
    If one is using at least two strobe units, colored gels can be taped over the lens of the strobe. If the strobes are of the "on-camera" type, a cheap source of colored gels is the Rosco Cine Gel swatch book. It was free from Rosco dealers, but might have a very modest price now. It contains small samples of about every Rosco Cine Gel (and diffusion materials, as well) made, and in a size that fits most "on-camera" strobes perfectly.
    I find that the use of complementary gel colors to be the most arresting, as where the sources overlap, the light becomes white, or very close to it, yet the colors appear where there is only the light from one source.

    For your own viewing, you can of course control-click on the attachment and select "View as Icon".
    For others' viewing, it depends upon their email reader.  To ensure that attachments are not displayed expicitly you can put them all in a zip file (via control click and "Compress") then attaching them, or you can use third party stuff like Attachment Tamer.

    You create an @icloud.com address in the first place by signing into Settings>iCloud with your Apple ID and choosing an addres - you can only create an @icloud.com address, not @me.com.
    Then if you want further addresses on the same account you can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
    You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.

    You can't, i'm sorry. What you're running into is the activation lock and it requires that the original owner release it with their apple ID before you can set it up.

    If you no longer have the old computer this will be very helpful and If you have other content - apps, books, movies, that you want to transfer to the iTunes library - you need to transfer your purchases from the iPod to the computer as well.

    These two things need to be remedied in their upgrades because It's become such a bother I've had to revert to older versions of PS.

    Yea, and it's a pain to get to.  What was the rational for removing the print size button?   With the magnifying glass tool selected in older versions of Photoshop you would get a button that says "print size" right next to Actual pixels, Fit Screen, Fill Screen. Now I have to go out of my way and dig for it if I want to see the print size.  Of all the buttons you could have taken away, why not fill screen?  I never use that.
    Besides the point I just downloaded the Oct Upgrade for PS and surprise! Nothing has changed and these are two big black eyes on newer versions of Photoshop.   The Brush preview window is  unchanged in CC but in CC2014 it's basically worthless.  If you apply a texture to a brush you can't properly see the scale of the texture, the spacing, scatter, etc...

  • I have purchased an app from the app store and cannot seem to download it.  I have tried restarting, and checked my connection but this seems to have no effect.  I have also downloaded other (free) applications since then and some of these download

    I have purchased an app from the app store and cannot seem to download it, the download statrs and then rapidly cuts out, it will not complete and seems to repeatedly go over the same few Mb.  I have previously downloaded large files and not had a problem with them.
    I have tried restarting, checked my hard disk (and repaired a sector of the disk) and checked my connection but this seems to have no effect.  I have also disabled virus protection and my firewall to see if this has an effect.  I have also downloaded other (free) applications to test it since then and some of these download but not the larger ones.  Has anybody else encountered this?  Does anyone know how to solve it?

    Can you download large files from other places apart from the App store, wondering if it is the App store or your internet connection.

    I'd note, the "blur" and "denoise" tools on the Secondary tab are more about smoothing the keying of the secondary ... they apply a bit of blur or de-noising to make the secondary smoother and cover over the odd pixel or three or four that don't "fit" the key of the secondary in the middle of something you're aiming for.
    In current SpeedGrade, I'd try using the Guassian Blur (Range) effect, and sample a good range of the skin tones.
    And a lot of people use Red Giant's "Cosmo" plug-in over in AfterEffects or Premiere Pro ... it's a tool designed specifically for working skin tones, dealing with blemishes, wrinkles, spots, and such.

    Do you have $50? You could become a subscriber to the Creative Cloud for that and get the very latest version of AE (which is version 12.2 right now, whereas CS5.5 is version 10.5).     Can I have 3 version of After Effect on my system, I have many tutorials that were made at After Effect6.5, 7 and CS3, so I want to have all of them.
    I dont know it is possible or not but if I it is, which versions should I start to install first?

    I have all three versions of AE installed on a Mac Pro without problem.
    I'd install them in chronological order, 6.5, then 7, then CS3.
