Can install directly Windows 8.1 Pro without upgrading Windows 8 Pro upgrade on Windows 7 Home Premium
Hi,
I have Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium OS which is pre-installed when I buy the Laptop.
I buy Windows 8 Pro upgrade before releasing Windows 8.1.
I formatted my Laptop and re-install Windows 7 64-bit and want to install directly Windows 8.1 without upgrading Windows 8 first then Windows 8.1.
Is this possible then please let me know where can I download Windows 8.1 and how I use Windows 8 Pro product key in Windows 8.1.ad
Thanks.
Best Regards
Syed Arshad

Hi, I bought a late 2013 MacBook Pro without retina display and I want to know if I should upgrade to mavericks since I don't want to make it slower, is it worth it?
angie.ob,
if your MacBook Pro is non-Retina, then the newest model that it could be is a Mid 2012.
The worth of upgrading to Mavericks depends entirely upon your priorities. What is it about having Mavericks on your MacBook Pro that appeals to you? If Mavericks in its current incarnation makes your MacBook Pro run more slowly, do you have a plan by which you can easily go back to Mountain Lion? -
I had macbook pro and would like to install windows OS in it. I had install desktop parallel and need help which windows version is suitable. Windows vista, 7 or 8 and either 32 or 64 bit.
The answer is it depends on which model of MacBook Pro you have. This article has a table that shows you which versions of Windows you can install.

How Direct Import .AVI file in to Final Cut Pro 6
How can i Direct import .AVI Files in to Final Cut Pro 6..
Please Tell me Any kind of plugin or application or codec.....
thankyou very muchThe AVI file extension merely indicates that the video contained inside could be from any number of codecs; like a QuickTime .mov, .avi is just a wrapper. Saying you have an AVI file is much like saying you have a car ... it doesn't really tell us anything specific. You need to find out what codec it actually is, then you'll know whether or not it can be imported into FCP without conversion.
But you'd be better off converting it to a QuickTime codec that FCP works with natively prior to importing.

Installation of Oracle 10g XE in Windows Vista home premium
Hi,
I tried to install oracle 10g XE(express edition) in my laptop which has Windows Vista home premium 32 bit.But when i start database it is showing me error
C:\oracleexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\BIN>net start OracleXETNSListener
System error 5 has occured
Access is denied
C:\oracleexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\BIN>net start OracleServiceXE
System error 5 has occured
Access is denied
CAn anyone please help me out with this issue.I didn't realize Vista Home Premium wasn't supported, so I went ahead and installed Oracle 10g R2 standard edition and then personal edition on 64-bit Vista Home Premium. The only problem I've had is that the DB Console doesn't work, which is why I came to this forum and thread. All I get is a blank page with a few chicken scratches, but everything else has been working so far. I've had to revert to command line SQL Plus, and I just imported a couple million rows from an export done on a Solaris server, so go figure. Obviously I'm not using it for a production database, but for my purposes so far it's done OK.

NB550D-10G - Upgrade Windows 7 to Home Premium
I recently purchased a NB550D-10G and have tried using the Windows Anytime Upgrade Wizard to move up to Home Premium but without success after over a dozen attempts.
Has anybody else had a similar experience and managed to over come it?
If so, how can I circumvent any problems and carry out a successful upgrade?
ThanksI only get as far as the Starting Upgrade screen when I, after a few minutes waiting, I get the message telling me that the upgrade has been unsuccessful and told to retry - no useful error codes etc.

I have recently installed 3.6.3 on a new machine running win 7 64-bit Home Premium. When I do a Google search and click on a link resulting from the search I get a "JavaScript Application Debug Error" followed buy a lengthy description (which I cannot copy to the clipboard). I cannot close the dialog box so the only solution is to close down Firefox and restart it. Any help gratefully appreciated!

I am starting a graduate school program and I would like to purchase a MacBook Pro. The options for the non-retina display fit my needs best, but it sounds like the resolution requirements for Windows 8.1 Pro do not match the MacBook Pro without retina. I need Windows to run a statistics program (SAS) and ArcGIS for mapping. Any thoughts or experience installing Windows 8.1 Pro on MBP without retina?
The native res on my 13-inch non-Retina is 1280x800. You might check with Parallels support or their forums to see if this is a problem.
If you go with the non-Retina 13-inch, I'd recommend getting 8GB RAM (standard is 4GB) because Win emulators need a fair bit of memory. -
I have previously installed Microsoft Office Student Edition 2011 on my MacBook Pro. While installing Microsoft Office 2008 Windows; message prompts to delete Microsoft Office 2011. Is there a way around this issue?
Office 2008 was a Mac version. The equvalent Win version is 2007. So there is no "Office 2008 Windows." Which version are your trying to install?
Are you using Boot Camp to run Win on your MBP and want to install Office for Win there? I can't see that being a problem..
I do know that the regular version of Office Mac won't run properly if the trial version is present. The installer is set up to look for other versions, resumably to keep the trial version and the regualr from clashing.
Office Mac 2011 is equiv to Office for Win 2010
Office Mac 2008 " " " Office for Win 2007
Office Mac 2004 " " " Office for Win 2003
