Can invoke MIDlet from another MIDlet?

Dear friends,
I have two MIDlet i want to invoke one MIDlet from another MIDlet based on user input. Is J2ME support this feature or not? please explain in detail.
Ex:
MIDlet1.java
MIDlet2.java
i want to access MIDlet2 from MIDlet1 as,
MIDlet1 obj = new MIDlet2();
obj.startApp();
i tried this but i didn't get any compilation error but it won't execute at run time.
please explain me if any one faced and resolve similar error.

I wants to invoke MIDlet from another MIDlet for the following reason,
I developed a simple chat application. The MIDlets are, Sender & Receier.
Sender home window, will collect sender name,receiver name and number.
Then open another window for Messaging.
On receiver end, after receive the message the user can reply to the message,
on Reply i have to invoke Sender application which have user information (sender name,receiver name & number) to get sender name. Once i open Sender window it will take care necessary action to send the message.
Please explain me now, how to call Sender MIDlet from Receiver MIDlet.

You would start by using the findObjects API to find all the objects for a specifc user. Then you would want to find the appropriate one from the result set. Then once you find this, you will need to either query the database or use apis to find the task key for the specific task name you want for that process definition. Once you have the process instance key and the task instance key for that user, you can then use the api to insert task into the users process instance.
Not sure all the APIs to use, but in the end you'll use addProcessTaskInstance found in the tcProvisioningOperationsIntf. You can search the forums for that API and examples of it's usage.

I agree. I don't rely on iCloud as a backup, that is what I have my portable hard drive for. Its 500 GB so I can hold my entire iTunes library several times over on it. I have all my movies on my hard drive, but somehow "The Mist" got deleted off of my hard drive, so I figured "Well, the option to redownload an already purchased movie is available through iCloud, I'll just do that!"
And permissions and download availability have nothing to do with it, the movie's still there, it still allows me to redownload it. The only problem is when I click download, I get that message.
And nobody else uses my computer, but I do have multiple accounts authorized on it. Even still though, I am attepmpting to download it through the account I purchased it under. :/

Error Invoking BPEL from another BPEL

I was trying to invoke a BPEL process deployed on the server from another via the partner link activity. In the WSDL URL I gave the server URL for the WSDL, but upon attempting to parse it, the composite gave an error http 502. However, when I try to invoke services that aren't in the SOA contanier, they work out fine. Could anybody say what I'm doing wrong?

When you are using a jsp, its for user interaction only. and in any case, you require interactive component call.
this is the only way you can use a jsp in OBPM.
However, in a bpm interactive activity - you can also choose external as implementation type.
For this, you need to have your jsp source code reference added as an external resource in the project and the external resource is to be specified at configuration while setting implementation type.

How AWT TextField can copy/paste from another application?

We know in applet for the security reason you can not access the getSystemClipboard from the Swing component like JTextField. But We know that with AWT TextField, you can copy and paste from another application. My question is how AWT textfield implemented with this feature. I don't think it is via the systemclipboard. Can some explain this for me?

the simplest way is to select the part of charactors and drag them into your textfield ^O^

I'm confused. I live in the US. The US store does not sell what I want. The UK store does. I do not have a UK address. How do I purchase content from the UK store? I tried to set up a new account in the UK store but I have to live in the UK to do this. Why can't I purchase from any store i wish?
This has been covered here literally dozens of times, but once again: the content owners do not allow cross-border sales from any of the legal download stores. You must therefore have legal residence in the country of the iTunes Store you wish to use. So in order to buy from another country's iTunes Store, you must (as proof of residence) have either:
a) a credit card issued by a bank in that country with a billing address also in that country, or
b) a mailing address for your residence in that country and a gift certificate or a prepaid card that was bought in that country.
If you cannot fulfill one of these two sets of conditions, you will not be able to purchase from any given country's iTMS.
This, again, is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies and other rights holders (who are often completely different from country to country and so all require their own individual negotiations and contracts), not by Apple's choice.

How do I Set up email acc so I can receive emails from another property

I have 2 homes and both have Broadband but with different providers (talktalk and tiscali). I have just move to Apple from Windows. With Mac mail I don't seem to be able to set up an account to read the emails from the property that does not have that provider. So house A has provider A and house B provider B. Windows allowed me at house A to to send and receive emails from provider A and read emails from provider B. At house B I could send and receive B emails and only receive A emails. I want to do the same with my Mac. How do I do this as when I go through the set up accounts process it seems to force me to register both the POP3 and SMTP for A and B and when it cannot find the outgoing server (in this case B when I am at house A). With windows it allowed you to set them both up at both houses because it did not perform a check as you set the accounts up.

In general what I have found is that some (many?) internet providers will not allow you to sent e-mail if you are not on their network but there is no problem receiving e-mail
I have two houses A & B and internet providers A & B but my e-mail provider is a separate company, provider C, I find the following:
I can receive mail from C via POP3 from both houses A & B
In both houses I am unable to sent mail using SMTP using provider C but must use the local internet provider, provider A for house A and provider B
If you have e-mail accounts at both A & B you should be able to set up two accounts, one for provider A and one for provider B - both would use POP3 to receive mail and should work from either house - each would use its own SMTP service - A for house A and B for house B - If you want to send mail from account A in house B you would have to change the outgoing SMTP server while you are there and change it back when you go to house A - same for sending mail from account B while in house A
Maybe this helps - if not try asking again and maybe I'll get it beter next time

No CD BURNER on current computer--can I burn from another computer?

I would love to download more purchasable music via itunes, but my current computer that I use itunes from has no CD burner. If I download itunes to ANOTHER computer and login to my current account, will I be able also download my purchased music to THAT computer and burn to a CD? Hitherto, I've only downloaded one CD because I don't know the answer to this question.

You can't re-download on the second computer, because the iTMS allows only 1 download.
You can login at the iTMS at another computer using your current ID.
Transfer your purchased music using an external HD or USB memory stick.
Authorize your second computer and you can burn the purchased songs there.

I have created a BPEL process having its own xsd schema file and i have also imported Task.xsd.In this process i want to invoke TaskManager Service in java Embed activity(bpel:exec language="java") in following manner:

By default the BPEL 10.1.2, it will do a local call to the process. It will not execute a SOAP request, no network access is done.
It can be configured at domain level:
Parameter: optSoapShortcut (SOAP local optimization)
Turns on "short-cut" for local SOAP request; local SOAP calls are normally done via an internal call instead of sending a message through the SOAP stack.
The default behavior for the engine is to optimize all. To disable optimization specify a value other than "true" or "yes".

DVD Drive Broken -Can I install from another Mac?

A friend has a MacMini with a broken DVD Drive. He also has a MacBook, which has a working drive. He is still using Leopard and wants to upgrade to Snow Leopard. Can he upgrade the MacBook, then upgrade the MacMini using the MacBook? If so, would anyone happen to have detailed instructions?

You connect the two via Firewire cable. Boot the Mini into TDM. Put the installer DVD into the optical drive on the MB then boot the MB. After the chime hold down the "C" key to boot from the installer DVD. Select the language and click on the Continue button. When the menubar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select the Mini's drive from the left sidebar, click on the First Aid tab in DU's main window, then click on the Repair Disk button. After Repair Disk is completed click on the Repair Permissions button. When completed quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with the installation. When you reach the point for selecting a target drive select the Mini's drive. Continue on. The Snow Leopard installer will automatically upgrade the existing Leopard system.

HT201272 How can I download from another countries iTunes store?

I'm not from America, I'm Canadian and I can't download a specific album. When I transfer to the American store it tells me I'm not authorized to download from there.
Anyone know how I can gain authorization?

You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country...

Final cut pro. Can't open from another drive.

I added a new SSD drive to my computer so that I could take my FCP projects and speed up the rendering time, etc. Now that I have it, I can't seem to bring the projects from my old drive to the new one.
Any ideas?

I am running Mountain Lion V 10.8.2 on a MacbookPro 15", v8,2.
I installed a 480G SSD into the main drive and took the old Apple 750 drive and using a data doubler put it into the Optical drive. I then cloned the new drive. I copied FCP across but didn't clone the projects, thinking that I would keep that information on the other drive and use it as needed. When I first tried to boot up FCP from the SSD drive, it crashed. I then booted up the FCP on the 750 drive and it booted no problem. I shut it down and then tried booting again from the FCP on the SSD and it opened no problem. I figure that by booting on the 750 drive it added the copy protection to the FCP on the SSD drive. I then used the Apple instructions on how to erase FCP from a drive. I trashed the FCP on the 750 drive and then trashed the library files that were in the instructions.
So now I can boot up the FCP from the SSD drive. When I look for projects, it sees the projects on the 750 drive. The projects are slightly shaded and when I try to click on them nothing happens. If I try to boot up from the project file it opens and tells me to open the projects from within FCP.
I am going to trash the FCP and re-install it from the apple store and see if that helps. Any other ideas will be greatly appreciated. I am trying to avoid starting over in my edits.

Is explorer.exe generic? Can I restore from another (identical) windows 7 ultimate build?

I'm trying to use the Start Button Text Changer. It was working ok... but has stopped. I don't know why.
I have several Windows 7 Ultimate builds, I'm trying to configure different native virtual machines for different purposes (Power User, Testbed, Barebones etc)
The program has ceased working, whilst (on a clean install, drivers only) the changes are effective.
I wondered if I could compare the explorer.exe files, to see differences (ideally 'translated',like with resource hacker), or if I could simply replace explorer.exe in the builds that have stopped 'behaving'.

Do you mean that the the program (Start Button Text Changer, a 3 rd party program?) stops working which causes the explorer.exe broken? If the program is broken, uninstall it if possible, and re-create the process by click "File" in task manager,
new task, type "explorer.exe", OK.
If doesn't work, run sfc/scannow, check and fix if there're some missing or corrupted system files.
Or use a restore point if you have as mentioned in the first reply.
