Can iPhone 4S and iPad 4th gen exchange files through Bluetooth
I m trying to connect my iPhone 4S with my iPad 4th Gen through Bluetooth , but they won't detect each other. Read a comment by someone in the apple forums that Bluetooth in iPhone and iPad are only for connecting with accessories. Is this true or is there a way to connect the two devices and exchange files
There are a few third-party apps, in the app store, that permit photo sharing by bluettoth & game playing, but that's about it. File transfer, by bluetooth, has never been supported on any iOS device. There are apps that permit such using WiFi though.

I have had my iPhone 5 since September 2012 when it first came out and had never have any problems with it with regards to picking up wifi signal. I had battery issues as the phone got older but it didn't really bother me and I had it sent over to Apple to have the sleep/wake button issue resolved about two weeks ago. Since then, I have purchased the iPhone 6 and gave my old iPhone to my husband. As I'm the one who deals with all the gadgets, I do the updating stuff. My iPhone 6 is on the latest iOs 8.0.2 and it doesn't have any problem whatsoever. My iPhone 5 and iPad 2nd gen (3g + wifi) also had the latest iOs update and both have recurring problems now. Both have problems picking up up wifi signals. Even when I have the iPhone 6 next to them, which has full bars (wifi), the two older gadgets are struggling to pick any signal at all. And if they actually get onto the internet, I only get 1 bar and the internet surfing on them are as sluggish as ever. The battery on the iPhone 5 has drastically gone downhill as well. I have tried to change the WPE/WPA2 connection on the router but it is still the same. I even tried to "Forget the network" and logged in manually again to no avail. The keychain thing on iCloud has been turned off but no change has been noticed. Is there anything else I can do to have this issue resolved? Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo. -
I have a third party app installed on iphone 4s and ipad 2 gen the app is different file size say 1.1mb on ipad vs 888kb on ipad any idea?
its possible that since the ipad version of the app is the version made for ipad and the one for phone is made for phone that they could be different sizes because they are programmed differently. Also possible that since they are this way one may have had more updates to it than the other so it may have more added data to the app than the other one

Send photos using AirDrop
To use AirDrop to export items, you must turn on AirDrop on your device and the iOS device that's receiving the items. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center, then turn on AirDrop.

Since upgrading to iOS 7 iPhone 4S and iPad 2 gen do not update contacts. iMac iOS 10.9.2 Why?
Is there a problem with iOS 7.1? Since upgrading my iPhone and iPad I can no longer update new contacts from my iMAC iOS 10.9.2. Also when I have voice mail the tab for voice mail give no indication that it is there. Is this a problem with iOS 7.1?
Also forgot to mention about the syncing with iTunes. Each morning, I have to literally turn off and then turn back on the 4S iPhone and the iPad 2 to get them to be seen by iTunes and sync. Yes, I am using the updated 11.4 iTunes on my iMac.

See if the iTunes update is available with software update, get it from downloads (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1576), or otherwise find the link to 10.7 in the "how do I downgrade from iTunes 11" threads. Most of them link to non-Apple sites carrying previous software versions like itunes 10.7. -
Imessage between iphone 4s and ipad (new gen)
I can not use imessage from between my iphone and my mother's ipad. I see on my iphone that I am able to receive at my number but I cannot receive from the ipad. I am able to facetime between my iphone and the ipad, but not send imessages to my number. The ipad is able to send imessages to my sisters iphone and I am able to imessage between other iphone. I do not know why it is just my iphone and the ipad that do not want to message properly. I have tried to reset setting on my iphone and and do a factory rest and it does not help. What can I do?
On your phone and your mother's iPad, are you using the same Apple ID in iMessage?
Settings > Messages > Send As > what does it show.

I read that with new device I would have iWorks available. Please help.
The problem is also that I have another 5C - company phone, where I have it. But on different ID, because I did not want to mix it.
This is annoying.
May I for example switch my company phone to my ID for some minutes to get the iWorks on my ID and then switch back to company ID ?It doesn't work that way. When going to ID #2 to get an app on the device, and then returning to ID #1, you lose that app, since it is associated with ID #2 only. If you want it on the other ID, you have to buy it.

Okay , you should only delete EMPTY DUPLICATED folders, not preview folders or any others. I would put them all back. Then just delete any DUPLICATED EMPTY folders, do not disturb any other folders. On iOS switch off DOCUMENTS AND DATA under ICLOUD in SETTINGS. Do this on all iOS devices not just the one. Once deleted DUPLICATE FOLDERS on the mac in MOBILE FOLDERS then exit the LIBRARY. Open PAGES on your MAC and view folders on icloud. Check everything is all there as expected. If okay then DELETE and re-install PAGES app on iOS - THEN switch on DATA and DOCUMENTS in ICLOUD. Now open PAGES. If you have Time Machine on you can recover any 'lost' doc files and restore them from your mac from pages application. Try the process again and do not disturb any folders other than ones I mentioned as this is the system files LIBRARY. It is not a place to be over zealous in moving, altering and deleting folders and files. Take care please.

I have a ipad 4th gen with the lightning charging port. I have realised how long it takes to charge and the poor battery life which means I can't take my ipad anywhere. Is there a case that is available that will charge my ipad? I know they are out there for older iPads with the 30pin charger but I can't find one for the lighning 8pin charger.
I don't know what you mean by "poor battery life". If your iPad is working properly you should get 9-10 hours of life.
