Can iphoto 9 and iphoto 11 work on same computer

I have a very large 222,000 file in iphoto 9 and when I upgraded my machine to iphoto 11 it crashed when I tried to move it into iphoto 11. I have a backup but need to know what is the best way to handle the situation?

Yes both iPhoto '09 and '11 can be used on the same machine - but it is difficult and not recommended
If you have used your library with iPhoto '11 then it probably will not be usable by iPhoto '09 - your best bet is to resolve your iPhoto '11 issues
I would run software update to make sure iPhoto it totally up to date (9.1.3 is the latest), load your backup for the iPhoto library and launch iPhoto and let it run to complete the library conversion which may take a while of that large a library (one of the largest I've seen here) - note that you are approaching the reported 250,000 max for an iPhoto library

I have two accounts/ users on my mac and each has an extensive iphoto library. I purchased iphoto Library Manager as suggesed. The problem is that when I am logged into Account A it cannot see the library in account B. I created a new library and merged account/user B photo library but when logged into Account A it still does not see the default library for B or the newly created library. Yes I want to merge them. I went to account B moved new library to Users shared and then went back to account A and clicked on harddrive symbol/ users/shared and I do not see it. I do see the two accounts listed separately. This all started by combining office and home computer into one.

You can keep both Applications (iPhoto and Aperture) on the same computer and separate libraries for iPhoto and Aperture; images from both libraries will/should be available in other Applications from the Media Browser. In the long run, after you get accustomed to working Aperture, you will find it more convenient to migrate all your images to Aperture. Aperture has the more efficient storage strategy, you need less disk space to store multiple versions of the same image in Aperture than in iPhoto, and Aperture is the more versatile tool.
It is easy to migrate iPhoto libraries to Aperture, but that is a one way road, if you want to export back to iPhoto, you can export your images, but not all of your library structure.

Yes you can. In iPhoto create a Album with the photos you want in it. You can drag them from your Events folder. In iTunes with your iPad connected go to Photos by cliking on your iPad. You can then select the album or events you want.

I think you may have answered a question I have with the above, but to be sure here is what I would like to do. I currently have iPhoto09 with about 50,000 pictures in it, which seems too much for it to manage. I would like to use Aperture, which I understand is better for managing a large number of photos, but still have iPhoto available to make slide shows, etc. for our AppleTV. Would the process you described above work for that?

You absolutely can just reinstall OS X Mavericks without having to erase and install. The steps to do that are almost the same as the only thing you do differently is that you do not go to Disk Utility to erase the drive. Just go to the Reinstall OS X option and pick your Hard Drive and follow the on screen instructions to get it going. Check out the article below for the step by step process.

Can I run Flash CS6 and CC on the same computer? I need inverse kinematics now only in CS6 but my computer in from my university and will shortly be converted over to FlashCC but I need many of the dropped old feratures. Yes, you can. On my laptop, in a virtual machine with Oracle Linux 5, I have 10g, 11g and XE.
BTW, 11g includes Sql Developer by default...

Mini ipod and ipod on the same computer

I have a 40GB ipod on a Windows XP PC. My brother just received an ipod mini for Christmas. It won't allow us to install ipod mini software without unistalling previously installed itunes software. If we uninstall itunes, will it delete all the songs already on it? If not, is there any way to use an ipod mini and ipod on the same computer, with different itunes libraries. We do have seperate user accounts.

iPods come pre-formatted for Mac, so you will need to format it for Windows.
See this article to verify its format (if desired): How to determine iPod's hard disk format.
Make sure that you have the latest iPod Updater software
Then, make sure that the iPod is fully charged.
- Download the Update Installer to your PC (do not run it from the web site).
- Place the file on the Desktop, or in a Folder you can remember/find.
- You also need to install the Updater software by double-clicking on the file that downloads.
- After you install the Updater to your PC, reboot your computer.
- After rebooting, run the Updater.
--- Go to: Start ==> Programs ==> iPod.
- It should initialize then ask you to connect an iPod.
- Connect the iPod when asked (not before) and you should have two options available: Update or Restore.
--- Choose the Update option and it will update your iPod's firmware to the latest version.
--- Choose the Restore option and it will update your iPod's firmware to the latest version and format (erase) your iPod's hard drive.
Most of the current minis are the 2nd gen models. They do not need to be connected to an AC adaptor to complete the process. As long as you gave the mini a good several hours of charging before you format it for Windows, you should be good to continue. If your PC delivers enough power to charge the mini. no other power source is required (but others can work if connected).

C6180 - USB and Wireless on the same computer

I have a C6180 and have no problem installing it as a USB printer OR via a wireless connection. Is there a way to have both, USB and wireless, on the same computer at the same time using 2 different printer setups? Windows XP Pro SP3 and Mac OsX 10.5.4

It can get confusing if you have USB and network connections from one computer to the same printer. On the other hand, you shouldn't have any issues to have one computer connected via USB and another connected wirelessly to the same printer.

The License Agreement seems to indicate that you can actually install it on more than 5 computers under your ownership or control. However, you can only authorize 5 computers at a time. I'm just wondering if you have Lion on a computer, then deauthorize that computer....no more operating system on that computer?

THERE IS NO AUTHORIZATION.
If you used your Apple ID to log into the Mac App Store on 4,332,332 computers it would work. You could technically do that, and none of them would ever be de-authorized.
I would posit that it's likely you would be breaking the license terms in that case, becuase it's unlikely you would OWN that many machines, but technically there is no "authorization" of any sort that would stop you from doing this.
It's OK if you "don't know." I DO KNOW the answer to this question. And I've given it to you.

Can Bootcamp and Parallels share the same Windows applications and data?

I'm looking at getting an Intel iMac which will let me throw away my old PC - Yeah!
I will have a couple of Win apps that I will need to hang on to (Quicken - Quicken for Mac is horrible, but that's another tghread). Anyway, can Bootcamp and Parallels share the same Windows applications and data?
My thought would be to allow my wife to access Quicken from Parallels and not have to reboot. She will only need lightweight access and the overhead of running virtualization wouldn't impact her. I, on the other hand, would want to occasionally boot natively into Windows and run the same application with the same datafile. Is this possible?

Re: Quicken vs MoneyDance - I looked at MoneyDance a while back and while it is comparable to Quicken for Mac, it isn't comparable to Quicken for Windows (ergo, Quicken for Mac isn't comparable to Quicken for Windows!). But, as I said, that is a topic for another thread!
Re: Using Bootcamp/Parallels for only one app: I actually have several apps that I still need access to on Windows. I work with many business applications than only run/are supported on Windows as well as receive some complex Office documents which Office for Mac cannot handle. Quicken (for Windows 2007) was just the best example of a consumer app where I could see wanting access from both OS X and Windows.
