After upgrade Windows Mail Outlook stopped opening. Just don't open it.
Reinstall office completely. Mailer opens, but there is no mail.

I tried program Easy Outlook Recovery, it doesn't see it!
There are a lot of online resources discussing about how to recovering corrupt or damaged PST files.

Open the hard drive by double clicking its icon on the desktop (assuming you have these turned on to show). Double click the Users folder. Is there more than one account there? Is your original account still there? -
How do I recover lost data in Outlook 2011
I have a nearly new 15" MacBook Pro, recently upgraded to Lion 10.7.1. I'm running Outlook 2011. I've imported five years of historical email in folders and many large distribution lists from Outlook 2007 running on a PC, Windows 7.
Tonight I let the Lion OS update three applications. When it finished the reboot, all of my Outlook 2011 data was gone. No folders, no accounts, nothing!
Anyone else have this problem? Any way to recover? I have a current Time Machine backup, but can't see how to restore the Outlook files.

A very common origin to jumpy picture is
• Recorded material in one frame rate e.g. 29.97fps (NTSC) and iDVD set to do a 25fps (PAL) project - OR the other way around.
It delivers a DVD but a very bad one.
I do convert all my material to same fps as the DVD I want to do (e.g. PAL) - before any editing etc.
I use JES_Deinterlacer or Compressor to do this and the result is so much better.
JES_Deinterlacer is free on Internet and makes a Great job - Professional alternatives comes at an astronomical cost and the quality is not hardly no better.

I work on a web application. I create user ids for people logging into my application. here I have a small problem.. This is what I am currently doing...
When I create a new user, I assign a new user id to the user and store all hi info.
All our user ids are stored in User_ID table and user info in User_Info table.
First I get the max user id from the User_Id table.
int iuserid = select max(User_ID) from User_ID;
Then I add ' 1 ' to this and assign it to new user.
iuserid = iuserid+1;
insert into User_id values(iuserid, <ssn> );
Then I store all user info in User_info table..
insert into User_info(iuserid, <first_name>, <last_name>,...);
Both these SQLs are executed as a transaction.
The problem that I have...
It works fine in a normal environment and in my testing.
But when the load inceases, before I insert into the User_info, another user tries to get the max User_id from User_ID table, then it conflicts..
I have seen occurences of User_Info storing the info of a different user against the User_id when many people are accessing the app at the same time.
Can some one tell me a better way to handle this scenario..

assuming that the requirement for user_id is only for uniqueness (primary key requirement) not continuosly.
perhaps can try this,
1) create a table to keep the max id for each table's key.
e.g.
create table key_id_lookup
key_name char(n),
current_value number(m)
where n & m is the size of the field
2) for each creation of entry in the user_id table, lookup the value in the key_id_table and increment it after retrieval.
e.g. current_id = select current_value from key_id_lookup where key_name = 'user_id_key';
current_id+=1;
update key_id_lookup set current_value = current_id where key_name = 'user_id_key';
something similar to use of sequence if your database support it.
3) continue with the creation of record in other tables. now obtain the time stamp of creation and append with the current_id obtained. e.g. timestamp = 132456872; size of m is 5, user_id = 132456872 x 100000 + current_id;
this should give you a unique key at creation time.
There should be other better ways of resolving this(like locking the table for the update operation but affect performance, etc), depending on the feature supported by the database in use.
Hope this can help as last resort if other options not available. -
My husband and I have two different tastes in music....do we have to have two different itunes accounts, or can we somehow share the account (itunes cards, credit card....payment options) but have two different setups??? How does this affect things if you use icloud??

The music must be on your computer.

Can anyone recommend software I can ddownload to an iMac to convert outlook .pst files stored on a memory stick to .mbox files for transfer to mac mail? I had to reset my IPhone device to the factory setting, but when I wanted to start using the IPhone, it requires the original Apple ID which I do not recall the password. I tried to reset the password by receiving it through my Yahoo account (Apple ID) I found out that the email has been disabled due to the long period I didn't use it and can not be recovered moreover I do not remember the answers to the security questions.

I am having a few problems with bootcamp on my imac. When i tried to move the bootcamp partition on windows 7 into free space, it crashed and turned off. Ever since i have had the error 'Missing operating system' and it fails to boot. I have some very important files on the bootcamp partition. Is it possible to recover these files or even to restore the bootcamp partition to it's original state? I do not have a backup of my bootcamp partition. Another problem i have is that ever since i tried to expand my macintosh HD partition into free space, when i hold alt while booting up (to choose which partition to boot like i normally do), the bootcamp partition has stopped appearing. This means that i cannot even boot the windows 7 bootcamp partition anymore!
So basically here are my 2 questions:
How can i restore/recover files from Bootcamp with Boot Failure - Missing operating system error?
How can i make the Bootcamp partition appear in Startup Disk and when i hold the option key while starting up my computer to allow me to boot windows 7?
Any solutions are very much apreciated!

I know that bootcamp (disk0s4) hasn't been fully deleted since it appears in disk utility (i cant do anything to it though)
And here is the error i see when i try to launch bootcamp (back when i was actually able to boot up bootcamp to the error screen)WinClone 3 is OS X and saves Windows image it makes for restore - that should work but you will have to try and you would need to make a new image unless it also works with a native Windows system restore image. It is now supported and has come a long way.

Paragon Clone OS works and does disk-to-disk clone just like CCC you end up with two bootable drives. But does not work with your setup. It would let you clone and move your Windows install to an SSD or another disk drive though and be bootable.
During its clone process it checks for errors which is very helpful and lets you know - something CCC and others should adopt more of.

There are a number of things to do like chkdsk and others as well as Windows DVD to do automatic system repairs and find out why.
AppleHFS - the abilty to mount and read HFS volumes can be notorious.
I would rearrange and redo your storage setup and how you use the 4-5 internal hard drive bays. -

I Tunes has lost quite a large proportion of my music library. I think this may have happened when I tried to download a previous version of ITunes that failed to load. Whatever, the music is still on my IPod. Is there anyway files on an Ipod can be transferred back into ITunes? Or is there any other way I can try to recover my music files? Also, I no longer have any confidence in ITunes ability to store data efficiently and wonder if there is any way I can back up my IPod outside ITunes?
Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself independently backed up against loss. To use a device with a new computer you transfer the content from the old computer (or its backup) directly to the new computer, not the device to the new computer. Media syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
