Can iTunes credit be used instead of credit card for Family Sharing Organizer?

I'm aware that a member in a Family Sharing group uses their iTunes credit (gift cards) before the Organizer's credit card is charged.
But what happens if the Organizer has iTunes credit? Will the members' purchases get deducted from that credit prior to the credit card?
Haven't found any real info on this yet :/
side question: if all of the members have iCloud Drive monthly fees, will that also get deducted from the Organizer's account? (either by credit card or iTunes credit)

Sad but true, I've tried to pay for iTunes Match with my credit and couldn't because it's a subscription service, regardless the credit amount I have. The system ask me to pay with my credit card too.
How are Family Sharing purchases billed?
When you initiate a new purchase, it will be billed directly to the family organizer's account, unless you have gift or store credit. First, your store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer. iTunes Store credit on your account isn't shared with other family members. So if the family organizer has a $50 credit on their account and another family member initiates a purchase, it won't deduct from the organizer's iTunes Store credit, but will bill the organizer's credit or debit card.

The reason you need a credit card is that to comply with child online privacy protection laws, the CVV or security code provides parental consent for the purchases that will be made. You will need to do that before continue and you can even switch back to your debit card after you finish the setup. The article below will explain further.

After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account unless that family member has gift or store credit. Once paid for, a purchased item is added to the account of the family member who initiated the purchase. I would really like to setup Family Sharing with my family to have common photo albums, calendars, and reminders. The only thing i'm a little wary about is that all purchases would be billed to my account. Is there anyway to not have a shared credit card for the group? Can we each apply our own credit cards?

No, you have to use the same credit card for all family members. But you can set it up with restrictions, so have to approve purchases (Ask to Buy) that will be billed to your credit card.

Change a credit card for family account

It is asking me to know the security code for my old card, that i threw away. How the helll do i have 2 step auth on and it asks me for the OLD card info i am trying to replace for my family to use. Another example of poor design in the actual products being used, but i am glad my iPhone 6 plus is as thin as it is, but would be nice if it actually work constantly with the products you create... Maybe you should have the community build everything but the hardware for you, i bet you would get better products out there.... If you can't just replace the existing card's details then you could contact iTunes Support and see if they can stop the previous card's info being required (unless somebody else sees the post and knows how to get around the error) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ (unfortunately it can take up to 48 hours for them to reply)

Separate credit cards in family sharing?

After joining a family that my dad started I noticed that my credit card could no longer be used on my account, and that we all had to make purchases through my dad's. Is there any way to change this? Or is it a forced setting?

I would like to set up family sharing, but was just wondering whether purchases would still be charged to my account even if some members already have iTunes cards loaded on theirs? In my head, it'd make sense for the purchase to be taken from their credit if it's available. And once they ran out, if they topped it up, would they still be able to use their own credit? Or does everyone share it?

The family organizer is the one who agrees to pay for iTunes Store purchases. To learn more about Family Sharing purchases, please see the inforamtion outlined below.
With Family Sharing, one adult in the family—the family organizer—agrees to pay for any iTunes, iBooks, and App Store purchases that other family members initiate while they're part of the family group. This also includes ongoing subscription purchases initiated by family members, such as iCloud storage, iTunes Match, and Newsstand subscriptions.

Why not use gift card for family sharing?

This family sharing feature seems great. But long gone are the days where I had a credit card on file. These days I only use gift cards. But system really wants me to have a credit card to activate this family sharing? Has anyone been able to do with pure gift cards?

How do we use the same Apple id for Family sharing without syncing podcast?

We tried to set up family sharing to share apps and music but our podcasts kept updating, syncing and wold get deleted when another member would listen to hem or delete them to make room on their device. Can we share without this podcast issue?

You can set the same Apple ID for iTunes and App Stores, but have different Apple ID's for Messages, iCloud and Facetime.
Settings->iCloud->Apple ID->Sign Out
Settings->Facetime->Apple ID->Sign Out
Settings->Messages->Send & Receive->Apple ID->Sign Out
Just go into Settings, and make sure the Apple ID set for those services is different for both iPads.

HT201454 How do you handle family members outside the household being a part of the Family Sharing program? I don't want them using my credit card for itunes and/or apps on their phones - just want to be able to share pictures/videos.

Wanted to include my sister and parents in the Family Sharing group under the iCloud app, but I don't want them using my credit card for their purchases. We just wanted to be able to share pictures and/or videos and find each other, if necessary. Is there a way around my card being the default for them when they go to purchase something?

If you don't want your sister to make purchases on your credit card, then Family Sharing is not an appropriate way to do what you want. You can use Find my Friends to locate each other and you can use Shared Photo Streams to share photos.

I was recently in England and saw these Itune credit cards for 15 or 25 pounds, my question is this: I live in Holland and would like to give these as gifts to my children - being on the dutch itunes site - will they except these English credit cards???

I'm sorry, but there is nothing that I can do to help you with this situation. I don't know why, but many people have problems when they try to buy gems in the Clash of Clans game. Personally, I wouldn't touch the game with a ten foot pole, but that's just my opinion.
