Can layout be transported

Hi All,
I have made a Z transaction and have made different layout's in it, when when that Z transaction is moved to quality, those layout are not available.........???????

I downloaded it, etc. and that didn't work.
It actually seems to work the same way as before I downloaded that driver, meaning, it prints but leaves it in the "# Document Pending" status.
Since the wireless HP print server isn't working (No connectMgr.exe file) there's no connection and therefore the doc won't print.
RE: Print/Server software out of date. The software was working for many months after originally installing it on this laptop. Then it just stopped. Now it can't find the .exe file and that's odd.
If I could find that file I could just save it where it needed to be and I'd be good to go.

Hi Vishali,
Go to the Quality server, try SE01 and there you can check in Transport Tab.
Also you can check in STMS and there you see whether it has gone through successfully.

Can we delete transport out of BWP?

Friends,
If we move a transport in BWP and it breaks something, can we delete that transport out of BWP and put things back in place?

I noticed this thread when browsing some other posts. I know it's an old question, but I thought I'd reply anyway.
There is no standard way in SAP to back out transports. However, 3rd party SAP transport management tool Transport Expresso can back-out transports from QA and even from Production.
If you have this requirement again in the future, it may be worth investigating.

Unable to move POWL Universal View/Layout by Transport Request

Hi Experts,
We have SRM7.0 ....This is a extenstion/refence to below thread.
Is SRM 7.0 POWL setting possible at Client or global level ?
In Config Client 610 I created some Layout in the POWL_QUERY ..so that it will be accessable to all users... and give name "Global" ( 6 Char) to the layout or View in webbrowser..given there TR ( Customization) Number..... and same name given in the GUI srceen POWL_QUERY in field "Layout".
Thne I moved ths TR from 610 ( Config Client) to 612 ( DEV Client)......and executed report POWL_D01 for relevant APPL ID in 612...but this created Universal View/Layout is not appareing in the SRM web browser... I saw some reports ...POWL_D08...but it does not exist in system.... I also executed report POWL_D08 in Config Client with TR and moved...but no use...

Solved

Can not install transporter 1.7.6 on ubuntu 8.04

I'm trying to install transporter and get the following output:
$ sudo sh ./iTMSTransporter_installer_linux_1.7.6.sh
Verifying archive integrity... All good.
Uncompressing iTMSTransporter Installer...................................................................... .....
eval: 1: ./install_script.sh: Permission denied
I tried to install it on a different server running on Ubuntu 12.04 where it worked perfectly.
Any ideas why it wont work on the other machine?

I asked this question in "book delivery" but it must have been moved to "windows compatibility", it was not my intention for it to be here. I agree that this has nothing to do with windows compatibility so I will see if I can have this moved.

Can't release transports - timeoutduringallocate/CPIC-CALL

When I try to release a transport, I get the message:

It suggest running SMGW, but that gives me the message. Gateway monitor is deactivated
I also ran the check transport tool:

SM21 shows:
>Communication error, CPIC return code 020, SAP return code 456

456 means: Timeout during conn. setup
I've upped the timeout of gw/cpic_timeout to 2 minutes, and still get the error.

So, I've looked at the destination CALLTP_WindowsNT - it exists in SM59. I checked the program location is correct and exists - and I ran it in a windows console. I did a connection test in SM59 and got:

>ERROR: timeout during allocate
>LOCATION: SAP-Gateway on host SecureBI / sapgw00

Hey, nice to see you are doing some real SAP work too, and not only moderating here (just kidding - keep up the good work).
I suggest you check first if your gateway is up and running. Check the dev_rd trace file for errors (either in SMGW, ST11 or directly in the work directory). Try to telnet to your gateway :
cmd> telnet host1 sapgw00
Trying 10.2.0.1...
Connected to host1.
Escape character is '^]'.

Can't get Transport Mode to Work

Just messing around in a lab with a few routers. Trying to bring up transport mode first on an IPSEC tunnel. All seems correct, but it constantly comes up in Tunnel Mode. I can't see why?
Can anyone see anything obvious?
Enclosed are configs and a WireShark capture of the output - as you can see it's Tunnel Mode - and not Transport.
The output of "show crypto ipsec sa" demonstrates the fact that its Tunnel mode.

My routers are peers - 192.168.1.1 & 192.168.1.2
If i ping from .1 to .2, or .2 to .1, in my mind this represented "the same IP addresses as the IPSEC peers". Other than the ping, i don't know how i can simulate peer traffic that would come up in transport mode. Do you?
Once the IPSEC link is built, and it's a tunnel link, i don't think it will ever divert away from this and create a separate transport mode link, so all traffic will ride across it.
It's not a big deal i suppose. Router to router connections don't seem to support transport mode.
I know how the packets would look like, which is the most important thing really. The headers are just in different positions.

If you happend to be one of those who forgot the transport request number of your abap program.
You can easily find it via the Versions Management.
Steps :-
Transaction SE38
Filled in your ABAP program name.
Then click Utilities -> Versions -> Version Management
SAP system will display this sample list :-

Version(s) in the development database:

Can we create Transport request for deleting a package?

Hi all,
We have few customised programs and tables developed in a package. Normally we create a transport request, include the objects for this package, then generate the FTP files and send it to user. Now the user wants us to create a FTP files for deletiing the package. Can this be possible without effecting the package in our system?( For this we have only dev sys)

You have to ask the user to delete the package locally. Moreover please educate him about the CTS mechanism in SAP, i don't think ABAPers are here to hack the SAP system

I can't make transport controls on Axiom 49 work in LE7

Newby here . . .
I have RTFM and lurked on several boards, but I can't find an answer.
I can get the sliders, knobs, buttons, etc. to do the right thing on LE7's mixer with an M-Audio Axiom 49, but I can't figure out what LE7 wants to "hear" to get the transport controls (play, pause, record, and stop are all I really need) to work.

Can the Same Variable used in the copied Queries and can it be transported?

While Transporting a Query from Developement to Quality, there is some elements missing in the
Z Query, example:
"Error when activating element 4BFWXYMKOQF5BQ373003Z2YZV
Element 4BKGUS2Z64GKGEF9QH60W4MUJ is missing in version M"
4BKGUS2Z64GKGEF9QH60W4MUJ is a varible that is created under Contract Account, processed by Replacement Path.
There was a Y Query in developemt, i copied it as Z Query and while transporting this Z Query from Dev to Quality im getting this error.
But when i go into the Query definition of Z Query i can see that same varible is present under Contract Account, but while transporting, it is giving the above error message as its missing.
Please can you help me out what are the next steps to be taken.

Hi Anand,
There are 2 ways for transporting LSMW data from a system to another.
1) Export/import this method gives you the opportunity to select the subprojects or objects you want to transfer. Hence you don't transfer the object a colleague might have created and that should stay in development system. LSMW -> Extras -> Export project
2)Transport request with this method, you can transport a LSMW project in full (you cannot select the objects you want). With this method, the project will be transported as any other SAP object in a transport order.
LSMW -> Extras -> Create change request

Can't release transport time out error

I can't release the transport and giving time out error,increased the rdisp/max_wprun_time to 5000 seconds even though it is failing.Its is accessing TLOCKPC table and this contain 5 lack entries I created T02 index for this table.
