Can Lightroom import other people's catalogs?

It seems that a powerful tool like Lightroom (on top of a powerful Adobe suite) should allow a developer to import a client's catalog from Photoshop Elements on an external hard drive. Everything I've read in the support and forums indicate I need to have Photoshop Elements installed on my own machine, and that reading off a network drive is not possible.

Yes, Lightroom can import a Photoshop Elements catalog, but there are restrictions.

both are a waste of time. Fornication with a leaky condom.

the obfuscation JavaScript will get the site to not be
listed in any search
engines because they can't "see" the page or any links on it.
You would be
"protecting" the images but no one would find them.
And all of those obfuscation JS things can be reverse
engineered. In most
cases- it's not worth it to prove it can be broken other than
to prove it
can be done. The images are nothing special in almost any
site using one of
those $29.95 applications.
Have you done the basics? Turned off directory browsing or
put a default
index page in every folder? A few years ago i ran across a
site with one of
those block right click scripts on it. Dumb curiosity- opened
a picture, and
looked around the directory. All open directories. A block
right click
script and every folder on the site was open.

Nuff said. The blocking script made me curious enough to poke
around the
directories.

I tried making someone a co-author and it sent them an email with a link and when they click on it, it asks them for their username and password. They don't have one since it never asked to create one for them when I made them a co-author.

This is not possible on FormsCentral but as you might already know FormsCentral is retiring soon. So, you will probably soon need to move your forms to a service like JotForm. Is this an important criteria for you when you decide which Form Builder you will move your forms to? If so, you might be happy to know that JotForm has this feature. It is called "sub-users". You can give other people access to edit your forms.

Can you hear other people, but they can't hear you? Here's how I fixed it.

If you're having the same problem I did where you could hear other people on a call, but they couldn't hear you and your microphone worked fine for everything else then you are in the same boat I was.
After a week of trying to fix it, a friend and myself have our phones working correctly again and my phone has been working fine for the past 3 days now.
To fix the problem, we re-downloaded the 4.2.1 file outside of iTunes and did a restore on the phone. (We both restored from a backup and it still worked). You can find the specific file download links on the 4th post on this page: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1052794&page=5 or through apple's support downloads page. Once downloaded, double click the file to open it (iTunes should open) and plug your phone in then do a restore. We both did ours from a backup and it still worked fine, the thing that has to be reinstalled is the update, which is what the restore will do.
It took my friend three tries of downloading until his worked, but for me it worked on the first try.

Good news! I believe I have fixed my phone!!
A friend of mine was having the same problem that I was having where you could hear other people but they couldn't hear you.
We fixed the problem by redownloading the 4.2.1 update. 4th post down on this page: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1052794&page=5 is a list of links to the update files. I downloaded the one for my phone and did a restore (from a backup) after downloading the file and double clicking it so iTunes opens. Since I've done this my phone has been working perfectly again!
It might take you a few tries, it took my friend 3 tries until his worked right and it worked for me on the first try. I'm guessing something was screwing up during the download.

Joining group call can't hear other people

I have looked over my setting multiple times and I can hear everything else on my computer but I join a group call and I can not hear the other people in it and it happens with other people as in like when other people join after a certain point I guess you just cant hear it anymore and we end up having to restart call like 5 times until everyone is finally able to hear again if anyone has any ideas on how to fix please tell

I am having this issue too. When I initially join the call, everything is fine but if I need to drop out for any reason, when I return, I cannot hear their voices. You can add people to the chat via the little plus button left of the chat bar. If they're already in the chat and you want to add them to the call, only the host of the call can add them. I believe they have to be contacts with the host of the call or they both have to have their settings set so that they can receive calls from non-contacts as well.

Why can I hear other people online when I get on my macbook?

Is it possible for a XML file to import other XML files? The idea is, to have several separate data in XML files and construct one big XML out of the many smaller XML files. Is there a "import" or "include" tag in XML?

xml files could be merged with the xslt document() function.

Can Lightroom import/use Camera Raw saved settings from Photoshop CS2?

Before getting LR, I used CS2. I would load my CR2 files from my cam into CS2 and Camera Raw would pop up for raw editing. I would edit the photos, but sometimes save the settings to a XMP file. Those files would then be available for any raw photo, i just had to select that setting.
Is there any way to import those saved settings files into LR? There's just text in them, what about importing the text somewhere? I dunno... I really want to use these settings files in LR!!
Also, If I change things to a photo in LR, does it have a similar save-the-edit feature like camera raw?

If you import images with those side car files, you'll get those settings automatically. If you've already imported the images without the side cars somehow, you can put the side cars back and do read metadata from files.

I can't see other people's pics on BBM or put my own up.

I just got a Curve 8530, and in BBM I can't seem to put in a picture, I also cannot see my friends pictures. A few of them that have blackberrys (both older and newer models) have tried to solve the problem in my phone and it seems like my phone is missing something perhaps? One said I don't have any applications. I tried downloading the latest software and it says I am up to date. Does anyone know what to do?

at the top right of the screen, choose Add-on, and look in THAT list for BlackBerry Messenger.
