Can log on to Twitter on Safari or Firefox.
Twitter's forum yields only similar complains. Reinstallion 2x yields same prob. Keeps asking for new password (earlier problem called for me to add new password but when I did, Capcha kept recycling). A closed loop.
I can log on effortlessly on my iPad.
I simply cannot find a solution and Twitter brooks no direct contact. Help!

If I understand your question, I can log in to my stand alone app on my ipad but not from the browser.
Of course I don't have such a choice on the iMac side.

Can't open PDF files in safari or firefox. get a black screen
For some time now I have been unable to view PDF files whether I am using safari or firefox. If I have the option, I can safe the PDF to my computer and then it will open just fine. Can I copy my bookmarks from Safari to Firefox if they are on the same computer?

You should update to Firefox 6.0.1 through Help > About > Check for updates
before testing rather than be disappointed with a Firefox update after testing.
All browsers can use the Netscape bookmarks formatted HTML file to copy bookmarks. But according to documentation you can import directly from Safari. Hopefully that applies to your Mac, because it is not shown as an option for me on Windows 7.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
I get a failure message saying: “The requested URL /mc/welcome was not found on this server. Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) PHP/5.2.6-1+lenny9 with Suhosin-Patch Server at us.mc1120.mail.yahoo.com Port 80″ I have deleted all cookies, flushed my DNS and temp files. Problem persists... I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 3.6 and then upgraded to Firefox 4. Firefox appears to function okay in all my other browsing use. If I use IE as a browser The yahoo mail link functions correctly. I suspect that Firefox or an add-on that I don’t see listed under tools/ add-ons may be rejecting the URL “redirect” as a Phishing .attempt??? This has been going on for 2 weeks several attempts a day. Don’t just say the server is busy , try later because Firefox fails, IE works as well as the IE Tab for Firefox problem revolves around Firefox and yahoo email. I have run Norton and Spy sweeper too no problems. When I enable the Google toolbar I will get a similar error "Oops! This link appears broken." Any Help GREATLY appreciated!

I guess the question explains it all. Twitter will not reload all the tab does is spin. It's been spinning since noon ET today with no luck. New tabs don't work either, just says waiting for Twitter. If I close the browser entirely it does work properly for a while but not for long. Can someone help me out?
I'll try to make this clear. I USED to be able to left click on a hyper link and the hyper link would open in a NEW tab. Now for some unknown reason the hyper link by default opens in the same tab (window). I have to right click the hyper link in order for it to open in a NEW tab. (Yes, my 'tools'> 'options'> 'tabs' are set to "open new windows in a new tab." (Please no answers telling me to get rid of the Ask toolbar because I don't have one.) Thank you.

Automatically filling in log ons in apps and safari....how?
On my computer, I use 1Password to store all log ons. When I bring up a URL, I can click and it fills in the proper log on.
In iPhone, I would like the same thing for apps and safari. In other words, I can log on to GMail via safari, but Google has their own very good app for accessing GMail (not via safari). Either way, you must log on.
To be clear, I want to access some URL (app or safari) and then have the log on info filled in for me (like 1Password words, which is different than storing URL log ons in a database that you have to go look for).
Any suggestions for accomplishing this?

bobTry Roboform. You would need the buy the desktop version of it. I know they have the window version but I do not know if they make it for Mac. The iphone version of Roboform is free. The reason you need the desktop is because you would need to sync all your information from your desktop to your iphone. They said they are working on an update so you could entered the information directly onto your iphone. Check out their website for more information. www.roboform.com. I've been using Roboform on my desktop and I really love it. i am glad they made it for the iphone.

Click: Remove All Website Data
Then empty the Safari cache.
Back to Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Quit and relaunch Safari then try logging in to that website.
