Can logic express 7 run on a macbook osx 10.6.8,2.4 ghz intel core 2 duo, 2gb ram?

I have Logic express 7.2 on an iMacppc g5.  will it also run on a Mac book with the above description?
MK

I too am having the exact same problem, I've been using G4 for 2 years with Logic Express 7.0.1. I've just tried to install on intel G5 10.6.8. Snow Leopard - I've inserted disks, installed software, opened Applications and nothing has happened, nothing there
I've had a good look on Apple's site, downloaded several updates and still nothing, could this be because my version of Logic is for Power PC and G5 is intel processor?
Many Thanks
Alex

    Hi,
My wife has recently bought a new iPad and is backing up in the Cloud.
Can I do the same and if so how do I do it?

In order to access iCloud you need to be running at least 10.7 Lion. Check the specs to make sure your Mac meets them. http://support.apple.com/kb/SP629
If you can upgrade to Mountian Lion 10.8 it's even better but you MUST check he specs to make us your computer can run it. http://support.apple.com/kb/SP654

Open the Mac App Store and try downloading Yosemite. If you get told it's incompatible, choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Xeon or Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) CPU and 2GB of RAM, and if it does, click here and order a download code for Lion 10.7.
Back up your data and check your applications for compatibility before upgrading. In particular, Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC programs such as versions of Microsoft Office prior to 2008.

    From the Creative Cloud FAQ:
To take advantage of all the great features in the new Creative Cloud desktop apps, customers should upgrade to a newer version of Mac OS X. Some of the new CC apps do not support v10.6 and will not install. Minimum system requirements for each Creative Cloud app can be found on the tech specs page on Adobe.com.

Check that your computer is compatible with Mountain Lion.
To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) model number 5,1 or higher
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
    Your Mac needs:
OS X v10.6.8 or OS X Lion already installed
2 GB or more of memory (More is better - 4 GB minimum seems to be the consensus)
8 GB or more of available space
If your computer isn't compatible, you might be able to upgrade to Lion.
    Computer Compatibility - Lion
Check to make sure your applications are compatible. PowerPC applications are no longer supported.
    Application Compatibility
You can also check which applications are PowerPC by going to the  menu, select About this Mac, click on More info…, then click System Report and select Software/Applications.

My thanks to you and all other respondents.  In backing up "theVault" App I thought that my ancient version of Stuffit was inadequate to unzip the backup file.  I attempted to download the latest Zipit version which only works with Lion.  After upgrading to Stuffit 9 I realized that theVault backup file was encrypted so as to not open on the backup Mac.  One must restore to the iPhone where is does open.
My apologies for the imprecise post.  I am finding limitations with not being able to install Lion on my early MacBook Pro.  I can recommend theVault to those looking for a password App with secure backup.

Please describe the problem in as much relevant detail as possible. The "etrecheck" fad hasn't made that step any less necessary. The usual results of posting etrecheck output on this site without a full description of the problem are very poor.
The many "failed" warnings that etrecheck sometimes spews mean nothing. Those warnings are not a reason to reinstall the OS, or to do anything else at all. They should be ignored.
The better your description of the problem, the better the chance of a solution.
For example, if the computer is slow, which specific actions are slow? Is it slow all the time, or only sometimes? What changes did you make, if any, just before it became slow? Have you seen any alerts or error messages? Have you done anything to try to fix it? Most importantly, do you have a current backup of all data? If the answer to the last question is "no," back up now. Ask if you need guidance. Do nothing else until you have a backup.

I have a macbook pro with a 2.16 Ghz Intel core Duo processor. Can I install the iOS 5 software?

iOS 5 is for iDevices, not OS X. Your iDevice would only require 10.5.8 or later. If you have a Mac with a Core Duo processor then you cannot install Lion but you can install Snow Leopard provided you have at least 1 GB of RAM installed.

I have a Mac 2 GHz Intel Core Duo running OS X 10.6.8.  Can I upgrade to 10.7 on this Mac?

no, you need an intel core 2 duo or higher: http://support.apple.com/kb/sp629

  • I am running 10.6.8 but can't upgrade to Lion. 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo processor 1.83 GB memory. What should I do?

My MacBook software is 10.6.8 but I can't upgrade to Lion. 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo with 2GB memory. What to do?

    Lion/101.7 System requirements
        •    x86-64 processor (Macs with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Core i3, Intel Core i5, Intel Core i7, or Xeon processor.)
        •    At least 2GB of memory, (I say 4GB)
        •    Latest version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8), with the Mac App Store installed
        •    At least 4GB of disk space for downloading, (I say 40GB at least)
Like Snow Leopard, Lion does not support PowerPC-based Macs (e.g., Power Macs, PowerBooks, iBooks, iMacs (G3-G5), eMacs).
Lion also does not support 32-bit Intel Core Duo or Core Solo based Macs. Rosetta is no longer available in Lion, which means Lion no longer supports PowerPC applications.
