Can Lr5 read Nikon D610 raw picture?

Hi, I downloaded Lr5 and installedt, but it can' t read Nikon D610 raw picture, why? hope for help, thanks!

The D610 is a very new camera.  The next version of LR, 5.3, will support it; however, you can download the release-candidate from Adobe Labs, and use that while waiting for the final release:

How can i open Nikon D610 RAW files in Element 12 ?

You need the ACR 8.3 plug-in to open D610 NEF files.
Check what Help / About Plug-ins / Camera Raw reports for the version number.
If it is something less than 8.3, update to the ACR 8.3 plug-in using Help / Updates from the Editor.  If that says there are no updates, then uninstall and re-install and try again.
If it is already ACR 8.3 then the files are likely corrupted by using an obsolete version of Nikon Transfer or ViewNX with them.
You can fix that corruption using a utility from the following webpage, where 14-bits is likely what you’d want to specify, and only use Nikon utilities that are as new as your camera:

  • I can't read Nikon D5200 Raw NEF files with CS6 under Windows 8.1?

I bought a new PC so I could use Photoshop CS6 more efficiently.  However, after I installed CS6, I can't read Nikon D5200 Raw NEF files under Windows 8.1.  I've tried updating CS6, but nothing seems to work.

First, I hadto load the most recent version of  the Adobe Application Manager.  Then I could see all of the CS6 Updates including the most recent Camera Raw update.
I had to run one update at a time for it to work correctly.
But now I'm cooking with gas.
    Thanks for your help.

  • LR 3.4 can't recognize Nikon D610 Raw Files

    Hello Ligthroom forum,
I currently have LR 3.4, just got a Nikon D610 tried to open a couple of raw files.LR says these camera files are not supported.I downloaded the new DNG Converter_8_3.Now I think I excuted the correctly.
But still can not open Nikon D610 files.Any thoughts?Should I run the exe file again or maybe upgrade to LR 5.3
    Thanks All,
    Barry

I would recomend upgrading to the latest version of LR 5.3. for all intents and purposes LR 3.x is a second rate raw processor in the present market.
Lots of new tools and improved , process version, sharpening, noise reduction, lens correction profiles nad much more.

  • Can't open Nikon D610 RAW files in PSE 12

HELP!  I just upgraded from PSE 10 to 12 in hopes that it would support camera RAW for this camera and I still can't open the files - it says unsupported!  I have client files to edit and I might cry.  TYIA!!!

You just need to update your camera raw plug-in to ACR 8.3 using Help / Updates… in the Editor.
If you are on XP or Vista or are still running the trial, then that automatic updates won’t work, but you can still use these steps to manually install ACR 8.3 in PSE12:

  • Nikon D610 raw files in CS6.

HOw can I open Nikon D610 raw files in cs6?

Adobe Photoshop CS6 is still a current product and was sold and runs in parallel with CC?  CC is a different subscription platform and business model designed to provide regular income (to ADOBE) and regular updates (to customers?).  As far as I am concerned this answer is unacceptable?  Is this the OFFICIAL ADOBE position?
Similarly I understood that Camera Raw 8.3 was compatible with Photoshop CS6 but some (new) options would not operate?
As it is my PSCS6 opens NIKON D610 raw files but shows a "zoomed in" version losing the edges?
Anyone official from ADOBE not afraid to confirm/deny/clarify the situation?

  • I cannot see Nikon D610 raw file preview in Finder.

I can see and develop my Nikon D610 RAW file in iPhoto (latest version v 9.4.3) but surprisingly I cannot see them in the Finder (preview, icon preview, etc).
I have tried to fix it by downloading the latest Digital Raw upgrade file (5.0.2 and even 5.0.1) but the setup program refuses to launch arguing I don't have iPhoto 9.4.3 or Aperture 3.4.5
But I have iPhoto 9.4.3. I have even redownloaded it from Appstore and reinstall it but without sucess.
And to add to the complexity, I tested the NEF file with another mac (same OS version, same iPhoto version) and it works well. So I don't understand what is going wrong with my iMac
Any idea how to solve this issue ?
Many thanks in advance for your help
    Emmanuel

Problem solved. My iPhoto application was in a folder, which is preventing Digital Raw update from seeing it and therefore preventing the install.
After having put back iPhoto into the main Application folder, I have been able to reinstall digital raw update (5.0.1 and then 5.0.2, as 5.0.1 deals with my d610 and 5.0.2 is the latest version). Once install, I can see the preview in the finder as I wanted

  • I cannot read Nikon D600 raw files with CS5

I cannot read Nikon D600 raw files with CS5, I have tried Camera Raw 6.1 update but that has not worked.

Nikon D 600 will work with ACR 7.3 which needs minimum of PS CS 6  : http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
With PS CS 5, ACR 7.3 will not work.
So either you need to upgrade to CS 6 or use DNG converter to convert images to DNG format which you can open in CS 5

  • Reading Nikon camera Raw files

I use Photoshop CS5.  My camera is a Nikon D610.  Is there a plug in that I can add so that I can read the Nikon camera Raw files?

Thank you. I have a Nikon D3200 and hope it works for this Camera too
Not necessarily. The answer is different for every single camera. It also depends on which version of Photoshop you're running.
The D3200 was first supported by Adobe Camera Raw 7.1 which is compatible with CS6 and later (not CS5)

  • Nikon D610 raw is unrecognized

I just got a Nikon D610. I took pictures in both jpeg and RAW file format.
I imported them into Aperture and Aperture says the RAW file is unrecognized format.
I have Aperture 3.4.3 which is suppoed to support this camera.
I see all the jpegs and next to it, the matching NEF raw file is unrecognized format.
There are no updates when I check for updates.
I did import the Jpegs and the NEF files separately as they are on two different chips. But I imported them into the same project so Aperture does seem to recognize the pair by file name. It is just that the NEF version comes up unknown format.
    What went wrong?
    Rich

It requires Aperture 3.4.5 or later. Which is going to require at least 10.8 to run.
    What is your current OS?

  • Elements 11 and Nikon D610 Raw files?

I have Photoshop elements 11 (mac) and have been importing raw files from NikonD70s for years without problem. I recently got a Nikon D610 and now get message saying unbuckle to read file. WHat options do I have. Will upgrading to elements 13 help?Element

Yes an update to PSE13 would work. Or you would need to convert NEF to DNG using the free Adobe converter. You can download PSE13 at this link and try for 30 days before buying - click here for PSE downloads

  • Nikon D610 RAW Files

When is Photoshop going to reconize the RAW file format for the Nikon D610. And make available the necessary software updates?

Support for that camera has been added in the Camera Raw 8.3 RC (release candidate) that is available right now. You have to be using Photoshop CS6 or CC in order to use it. If you have an older version of Photoshop then you will have to use the DNG converter 8.3 to create digital negative copies of your raw files.  Although it is a release candidate, it has been carefully tested. You can download it from the Adobe labs webpage.
