Can mac mini support two monitors?

how do you configure setup using two separate monitors with Mac Mini?

Yes, you can have two monitors.
The Mid 2010 Mini has
1 × HDMI Port (Includes HDMI to DVI Adapter)
1 × Mini DisplayPort
The Mid 2011 and late 2012 have
1 × HDMI Port (Includes HDMI to DVI Adapter)
1 × Thunderbolt Port
You can purchase a mini display port to DVI and mini display port to VGA adopters. Those adopters also works with the thunderbolt port.

If you use the Apple Thunderbolt display you can connect up to 6 displays by daisy chaining them together
but up to 6 on the integrated graphics of the mini? A discrete graphics card isnt necessary?
The new Thunderbolt technology in Mac mini is phenomenally fast. It features two 10-Gbps channels for data transfer. That’s up to 12 times faster than FireWire 800 and up to 20 times faster than USB 2.0. But beyond speed, Thunderbolt technology gives you unprecedented expansion capabilities. You can daisy-chain as many as six Thunderbolt peripherals, including the new Apple Thunderbolt Display. And since Thunderbolt is based on DisplayPort technology, your Mini DisplayPort devices plug right in, too.

haha, so now i'm thinking. I'm learning the terminal as fast as i can but there are several lines of codes and commands in there that throws up red flags to me that i don't fully understand. It just looks fishy too me. It would be highly appreciated if someone could just check this out just to tell me that i don't need to worry about it. Or point me in the right direction. I just feel un easy about this. ha.

  • Can mac mini mid2011 support fusion drives?

I have installed 2 drives a SSD for my apps and all programs and the original HDD that came with the mini to use as a media drive.  can the Mac mini support fusion drive if so, anyone knows where I can get info on how to make both drives into a singel fusion drive

Yes, a mid-2011 Mac Mini supports a DYI Fusion drive as long as you're running Mountain Lion. I have done this on mid-2011 prior to purchasing my current late-2012 Mac Mini.
Here's a link to give you the steps of how to create one.

    iMac (Mid 2011 or newer)

  • Can mac mini use macbook's display?

Can mac mini use macbook's display? ie can it be added to Macbook as another drive?

No, it can't use the drive, but it can use the drive. You need a FireWire cable, plug them in to the same port on each device, and hold down the "t" key on the MacBook. The Mac mini should then see it as a hard drive. If you want to share the disc drive, on the MacBook open System Preferences, sharing, Remote Disk. In Finder, the Mac mini should see the MacBooks drive under "Remote Disc".
