Can Macos x 10.5.8 have free Mac os x 10.6?

DEar friends
is it possible to have MAc os x 10.6 from MAcos x 10.5.8's software update?
otherwise in case i buy it do you where i can find instructions for how not to confuse the operating systems in one computer..? i am quite new in computers... in general
thanks in advance.

then upgrading to 10.6.2 and so on will be free. right?
Correct, at least based on Apple's policy to date. For Mac OS X, Apple charges for major releases -e.g. 10.4, 10.5, 10.6 - but all minor releases - in this case 10.6.1, 10.6.2, etc. - are made available for free. So unless Apple makes a major shift in policy, all upgrades to Mac OS X 10.6 will be free until such time as Apple releases a "Mac OS X 10.7", whenever that might occur.
which one you find better? is there a big difference?
I'm quite happy with Mac OS X 10.6, but I don't find it a large difference from Mac OS X 10.5. 10.6 provides refinements but not major new features. You may want to look at the new features:
http://www.apple.com/macosx/refinements/
and see if the improvements are sufficiently compelling for you. Also look at the software and peripherals you run to see if any of those might need to upgraded for compatibility with 10.6 and if so there would be a cost involved. If there is a cost, that might affect your decision.
Regards.
