*I have two libraries on two different computers. how do i set the itunes to manual sync*
You don't set iTunes to manual, you set the iPod. If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer or with more than one library you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply. The content of iTunes and the iPod are not syncronised in this mode so the two can be different. You can directly access the content of the iPod and play it through iTunes and you can drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from either library:
Using iPod with Multiple computers
Managing content manually on iPod
Syncing Music to iPod
Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device: Safely Disconnect IPod
*Can I also sync different ipods, we have several*
There are a few different ways to use multiple iPods with one computer. However if the iPods are also being used with multiple computers then you'll be using the manual method regardless and not any form of auto-sync. Have a look at this help page for all the suggestions: How to use multiple iPods with one computer

  • Can more than one ipod touch be used on the same computer

Have a new iPod touch-4th gen.  Have  iTunes already on computer, for a 3rd gen.  Updated to lastest version of iTunes.  New iPod is not showing up at all anywhere.

More than one ipod on same computer is possible: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1495

  • More than one IPOD on my ITUNES

Hello, I am a bit dim.
I have a Nano that works fine with my iTunes and is all synched up and that.
It was previously synched to the same computer with an older harddrive that died. Also with this old harddrive we filled my wife's Shuffle. When the harddrive died we got a new one and after some fuss got my Nano working again, but . . .
when my wife wants to be able to add stuff to her Shuffle via my iTunes, when we plug it in it is recognised but the contents come up greyed out and you can't drag anything to it. Neither is there the option in the pane to add things manually. She wants to keep the stuff that's on there on there and add more. Don't want to use Autofill (the only option currently on offer) as we have divergent tastes and she won't like what her stuff gets replaced with at all.
I know that I need to link the Shuffle to my iTunes but I don't know (or remember, I think I once knew) how to do that without erasing everything on there. Surely it's possible to have more than one 'pod running from the same iTunes account . . . .
    Can anyone help?

Sorry, but an iPod Shuffle can only be synchronized to one computer at a time. It's not like other iPod models where there's a "manual sync" mode that allows you to connect to multiple copies of iTunes. If you connect an iPod Shuffle to another computer and sync, all the previous content on the Shuffle will be erased.

  • Can more than one laptop use a wireless network at a time?

Hi...quick question and this may be a stupid one .. but a few months ago my uncle was living with us and had a laptop which had a wireless Internet connection. I had already had my Ibook set up and was using a wireless Internet connection. When he turned on his mine stopped working? Why was that happening? Also ... my dad is buying my mom a laptop for Xmas and I'm sure that it will have a wireless connection as well? I'm hoping that same thing will not happen again. Why would the wireless router only read one laptop in the same house? Aren't wireless routers suppose to read more than one computer? I just don't want my MAC to be unable to use the Internet once another laptop is in our house. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks a ton!

    Karen, welcome to the discussions.
Using a wireless router will enable you to connect upwards of 50 computers all at the same time and simultaniously.
Take care to read the set up procedure for the particular Wireless Router you are using for your Network.
There are several different ways to confiqure a wireless Network.
AS long as all of the computers you have, do in fact have wireless cards in them you shouldn't have a problem.
There is a difference in the set up for PC and a Mac.
There is also a difference in Wireless Routers and there capabilitys, some are for older wireless 802.11b compliant systems. Whereas the newer Routers or Base stations are for both older 802.11b and the newer 802.11g connections.
They will say 802.11b/g or something close.
Most will require you connect your Internet Service Providers Modem to the WAN Port of your choice of Wireless Router. Like I said follow the directions.
    Good Luck

  • HT1473 can i use more than one ipod on my itunes account?  How do I get the music from one itune account into another on one computer?

My husband and I would like to combine our itunes libraries into one for each of our ipods.  Can this be done?

You can just copy all of your music to an external sourcce ( cd/dvd/flash drive/hard drive) then copy onto the other computer.
You can type "merge itunes library" into the google search bar.

  • Can more than one Ipod be used one one computer?

My sister and I share a computer and each have an Ipod. I have a 30GB and she has a 2GB and we're having problems using the same Itunes. Is there a way for us both to use the same Itunes on the same computer, or do we have to use separate computers to have separate playlists? Thanks.

off topic - but StarDeb, have you seen btabz's excellent pages?

You left-click on the link, nothing happens which is disconcerting, but then you right-click paste into discussions here, and it's formatted lovely.
b noir told me about it.
Maybe since you've gone over to the dark side of Macs it doesn't work, though. giggling

  • Can more than one Ipod Nano be used on the same computer

I want to give an Ipod Nano as a gift. The prospective recipient tells me that her daughter already uses the computer for her Ipod. Is it possible to use the same software without synchronizing both Ipods with the same songs and such?

  • Can more than one MAC use the same time capsule??

My husband and I both have 27" imacs.  Since he just had a hard drive failure, I'm worried about my machine, and we'd both like to start backing our computers up.  Can we both use the same hardware to do this?

Just make sure you have TC big enough to backup both macs! the final storage will be bigger than the disk space sum of your both macs as there will be incremental backups and snapshots in time going back!
Otherwise your TM app will scream bloody murder that you are runnign out of space  as mine does :-)

  • Can more than one CHM use the same resources?

    OK, here's the challenge:
I have a large RoboHTML project with 433 small video clips
(swf flash files). This project is translated into 10 other
languages. What I would like to be able to do is to have the
translated .chm files share the video clips instead of distributing
    11 copies (433 x 11 = 4763 files). Is there any way that anyone
knows that all of the files can access one set of video clips, and
    display, and play them?

    Hi Margaret
I suppose exactly how you might accomplish this would largely
depend on exactly how you are managing to insert the .SWF content.
Just in case it will help, I'll outline something I tried.
Within an existing RoboHelp HTML project, I added a new page.
I then inserted a .SWF onto the page by clicking Insert >
Multimedia... > Browsing for the desired .SWF, clicking Open and
    finally OK.
At this point, the .SWF has been inserted into the topic.
Unfortunately, this process ALSO copied the .SWF to the project
    location.
So I now visit TrueCode for the topic, and amend the .SWF
filename reference to include an absolute path to the .SWF.
    I save the TrueCode.
I then visit the folder where the project is and delete the
.SWF. This step prevents it from being included in the resulting
.CHM once it has been compiled.
I then compiled and tested. The .SWF loads right up into the
    topic!
    Will this help? Rick

  • Can more than one person use an iPhone 5s with fingerprint id?

Can the iPhone 5s recognize two different fingerprints?  In other words can my daughter use it to take a picture of the family or make a phone call on my phone?

    Yes it can.
