The cheek of the matter is everytime I tried to get Apple support it comes up with a request for me to pay $54 for their support package, to fix a problem I didn't have until I complied to one of their update requests.

Anyhow, I wound up "fixing" the problem by using the System Restore disks for the Mini. It's now running Tiger 10.4.11 (with all updates) and I copied my iTunes library over. It all works now. <shrug> I have no idea what the problem was, and I'm a bit leery of upgrading it to Leopard, so I think I'll just leave well enough alone.

Before we had it so that, he had the itunes account and synced my iphone to it as a named device, but the problem was, when I used to send imessages, it looked like it was from my husband and not me!

You can set up Messages and Facetime separate from your husband and still use the same iTunes to sync things like music, movies, Apps, etc.
To do this though, you need to get your own Apple ID. You then use your Apple ID to set up Messages and Facetime under your account. This way your Messages and Facetime calls will come from your account and your husbands from his.
And you will still be able to sync the devises on the same iTunes account.

Cannot play movies or tv series on my iTunes with OS X Yosemite

I have been using my MacBook Pro to watch my movies and television series in iTunes. Lately, I am having a pop-up window saying that my screen is not HDCP compatible. The video displays blurred lines or just a black screen. The audio will work for only five seconds and after that, the movie stops. I am trying to resolve this issue on my own, but I do not know where to go to see if my screen is HDCP compatible. I accidentally checked the "Do Not Ask Me Again" box. From what I see and from my experiment in the U.S, online Apple Store, I would say that yes you can. iTunes gift cards are sold in the Apple Online store and Apple Store gift cards are an accepted form of payment on the store, so that means to me that it is possible.

Are you by chance signed in to differnt accounts on iTunes (your computer(s)) and AppleTV? Is AppleTV connected to more than one computer? When you are compairing lists of movies are you looking under the "Movies" button, or under the "Computer" button? Where all of these movies purchased though iTunes?
NOTE: The computer button only shows the content that is downloaded to your computer(s). So it will not show all the content you have purchased. Just all the content on the computer.

If you try to download something that you've already bought, then you don't have to buy it again. You can just press download. Therefore, if the songs are fragmented, you can just delete them and re-download them without paying a penny

Power cycle the ATV and router.
If the issue persists, on the ATV go to Settings > General > Reset

Same for me with Iphone 5 and IOS 7 on mac pro. Install ITunes 11.1 and after reboot nothing work. Work only with Mac Pro in safe mode.
