Can multiple instance be in one physical professor?If it can,how can I run multiple queries in this multiple instance?

Let me see if I understood your requirement, you want to have several Oracle Instances on the same machine (processor) don't you. And you want to run a single query against this, it could be interpreted in a couple of ways, you may want to set up a RAC environment, and let oracle decide where it is going to run the query, or you could be talking about a distributied query, peforming a join against different tables located on different instances.
Further clarification is required from your side.

I hope I'm posting this question on the correct forum.
We are short on money this year and we decided to purchase one physical system to represent Development and QA.
I am designing an architecture around my systems where I would have a two SQL Server Instances (2014, Enterprise Ed), one for each environment:
DVSV-ODS01\DEV
DVSV-ODS01\QA
The only possible problem is SSIS, which I cannot have multiple installations of SSIS on the same box.
Is it possible to have the SSIS service serving the two SQL Server instances installed on the same physical box?

Not on the same physical box, but you can go with running say the QA environment on a Virtual Machine.
E.g. the very free VirtualBox should do it. And then you can install two SSIS instances.
You can even access them simultaneously this way.

How do I compile Labview program so multiple instances run on one computer?

I would like to have the ability to run multiple instances of a single executable Labview program on the same computer. Is there an option I should set during compilation?

Do you need the multiple instances to communicate? If so, use the INI file settings and VI server to launch them into the same run time engine. These settings in your INI file may be of use.

Make sure you use a unique port number. Launch your main VIs by first using Open Application Reference with the port in your INI file and "localhost" as the machine name. Then use this application reference to open your main VI using Open VI Reference. Run it using the Run method with Wait Until Done set to FALSE and Autodispose Ref set to TRUE. Make sure it has its front panel open before you close your launcher or the LabVIEW runtime engine will close (since you have the VI ref, you can do a slow poll on the execution state or front panel open/closed properties).
Be careful with shared VIs. Reentrancy and VI templates are your friends.

Can multiple articles be in one indesign document?

I have an indesign document with multiple articles in it. I made the articles using the Articles panel. How can I add these articles to a folio? When I add an article to a folio using the folio builder panel, it adds the entire document, even though I've used the Articles panel to specify that, say, pages 2-5 are an article named "Family Matters." Does an article have to be a separate indesign document in order to be added to a folio?
On a more general level, I haven't seen anything in the DPS literature that explains what an article is, what can/can't be an article, etc. I think that would help me. Thanks to anyone who can answer this.

Currently it is one article per INDD document. (Two INDD if you intend to do dual orientation) The "articles" panel is directed more toward epub and html export.
The concept of the"article" (in terms of the Digital Publishing Suite) was alot easier to understand when it was previous called a "stack" in the prerelease. The concept is that each page in your article stacks on top of eachother to form one article. You article InDesign file contains all the pages in that particle "stack" .
Think of it in terms of a magazine. Each "article" has its own section in the viewer and thus is own InDesign document (consisting of all the pages for that particular article). All these different articles or InDesign documents come together to make one "folio" or edition of your magazine.
My suggestion would be to get familar with the workflow to understand what is and isn't support from Indesign. Some great videos are on the "getting started with the DPS" page

Indesign CS6 Server: Multiple instance configured, just one random instance come up?!

we have a problem with our Indesign server. It is configured to run as service on a Windows 2008 R2. We configured one instance with the management snap - that worked well. So we decided to add more instances and now the problems start: If I start the indesign server service all configured instances come up as process. But only a random one comes up able to process jobs. The other instances are dead - they don't even open a port. And I could see that the dead instances take hardly memory (ca. 50MB). The working instance takes ca. 260MB RAM directly after launching the service. What we are doing wrong?
As you can see the instance with the PID 7832 takes a lot more RAM - thats the working instance. I checked with "netstat -an" for the ports 4711-4714 - just port 4713 was open.

How can multiple family members use one account?

My children have iphones, ipads, ipods and mac books, my problem is how do you use home sharing with the devices and not get each others data. My Husband just added his iphone to the account and got all of my daughters contacts. I understand they could have there own accounts but if i buy music on itunes and both children want the same song, I don't feel i should have to pay for it twice. Is there away we can have home sharing on the devices and they can pick and choose what they want? and is this icloud going to make it harder to keep their devices seperate?

Can multiple iPods exist on one computer

I know I am a loser asking such a simple question... But if I get my hubby a new iPod, can he access all the songs (share) that we have already purchased? If so, how would I set that up with the New iPod ? He currently uses mine, but we ave some different taste in music so I would like A) to be able to use mine while we are both working out, and B) to set up his own playlists with songs that I have already purchased on MY iTunes acct. and put them on his playlist.
This all just confuses the heck out of me... But I was born before 1980!!
Any help would be so greatly appreciated... I want to buy him his own for Christmas... But NOT at the cost of rebuying so any songs!!!!

How can multiple users work on one source file?

I'm currently working on a project that I would like to hand-off to another person to finish. I've tried sending the source file located in at: Home>Movie>iMovie Projects but apparently that doesn't work as the second user is unable to work on the project.
Is this achievable? If so, how?

For iMovie 09, you:
You have to plug in an external drive, and within iMovie, drag the project file to the external drive. It will ask you if you want to "copy project" or "copy project and events".
If you want to move the project and not just make a copy, then hold down the Command key while you drag the project file to the external drive.
iMovie 08 does not have the capability of having project files on the external drive, but you can try to manually copy it to the external drive with the finder, and then move the associated events +from within iMovie+ (critical for the other machine to find the files) and when copying the project file to the other computer, it would be critical to find the iMovie project folder in the Movies folder and put it in exactly the same place on the other machine. Otherwise iMovie won't find it.
The way you want to use it, iLife09 might be worth the upgrade, especially if my suggestions don't work.

Can multiple Instances use Message Gateway on the same box ?

I have message gateway propagating messages to MQ Series Queues on instance DV1. I'd like to set up similar propagation on instance DV2 on the same host. Is that possible ? Do I need different tnsnames/listener settings ?
I tried to start the agent on both instances using dbms_mgwadm.startup. On querying mgw_gateway, DV1 shows the agent's running and reachable. However, DV2 shows that the agent's starting and unreachable. There are no corresponding messages in mgw.log.

Running multiple instances from same oracle home

Hi Gurus,
I am preparing for OCA 11g examination. I had a question about running multiple instances from same oracle home. While reading the book I came across a statement about database control which says "If there are several database instances running off the same Oracle home, then each will have its own Database Control instance".
Now I assume that this statement implies multiple instances accessing the same physical database (which as per my knowledge can happen only in case of a RAC).
I am not able to understand how exactly can you have multiple database instances in a single oracle home. I have installed Oracle 11g on my computer whose oracle home is +"D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1"+; now this directory houses all the binaries (executables and folders like admin,bin, etc) for the oracle instance that I have installed (the instance name is ocp1). Now if I am to install or create another Oracle Instance (say ocp2) in the same home, wont there be a conflict of binaries of the two instances in the same home ?
Basically,it makes sense if db_1 folder is further split into multiple folders, one for each instance (for example, one for ocp1 & one for ocp2); each of these folders will then contain the binary files, libraries,etc for its own instance; but, this is not the case, here db_1 houses all the binaries directly under it ...
The other question which stems from the statement I mentioned above is that if having multiple instances running from same oracle home accessing the same physical database, can this arrangement be called RAC at all; or does RAC dictate that you cannot have multiple instances that are accessing the same database have to be installed on physically separate machines and so you cannot have two RAC instances (accessing same physical database) installed on the same computer ??
I hope my questions are not too much confusing ... !!

Usually in this case you create several instances on the same node.
Now I assume that this statement implies multiple instances accessing the same physical database (which as per my knowledge can happen only in case of a RAC).You are correct about RAC where several instances (usually running on separate nodes) access the RAC.

1 Oracle HOme - 1 Database - Multiple SID is possible and this is called RAC.

Mac Pro with 6 displays open 6 instance of keynote one on each screen

I am looking to purchase a Mac Pro with 6 Thunderbolt out to drive 6 displays. My question is this..
Can I use a a command like the following to open a 6 different keynote presentations and place each on a different screen.
n=6 ; for (( p=1; p<n; p++)) ; do open -n /Users/username/Desktop/Presentationname.key then some argument to dictate which display the file opens on.

Multidisplay Mission Control
OS X Mavericks makes it easy to manage the apps running on each display. Mission Control shows you everything that’s on each display, including windows on the desktop and full-screen apps. If you want to move an app from one display to another, simply drag its thumbnail to the desired display.
It is not clear whether this gives complete ability to launch multiple instances of Keynote, one in each of several displays -- my expectation is that it does NOT. I think you will have to experiment a bit to find the true capabilities.

Multiple instances of weblogic pointing to same public_html

I am using Weblogic 5.1 and have successfully set it up to start multiple instances
of weblogic from one weblogic server(each instance has its own unique port).
Currently I have multiple instances of public_html (one for each instance). Does
anyone know what I have to do to point all instances of weblogic to a common public_html?

Multiple instances of a service from a bean

I have a class that provides a service, however there can multiple instances of this object and I need to retrieve all instances of the service. A simplified version of my function is:
public MyService getMyService() throws Exception

return _myService;
I guess that I need to return a Collection of MyService objects from this function. When I call getService(...) there is only on instance returned (not surprising really). I have been searching through the documentation for a function that will return all instances of a service. This sounds like functionality that I would have expected to be provided by the API so before I write application specific code, I was wondering if anyone out there could offer some advice.
Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

You mean likepublic MyService[] getMyServices()...? If you're looking for an API that returns a set of resources, try java.awt.GraphicsEnvironment.
