Can my company get a refund if we can't at least get After Effects CS4 through the Cloud?

When I called the 800 number to purchase the Adobe Cloud subscription, I asked if After Effects would be included. The answer I got was "yes."  Perhaps I should have mentioned that the computer I'm on is a 32-bit XP system. Yes, I realize the latest and greatest AE won't work on it, however, I also realize that an earlier version was offered for 32-bit XP when people purchased the suite.
My job depends on having After Effects and I've been happily using CS4 until my hard drive took a dump. My boss went through a lot of trouble to approve Adobe Cloud.
So now what? Can AE CS4 at least be offered to me for now or should my company try to get a refund?

I agree with you, as do our people in IT. I would love to see everything get upgraded around here, but I'm not holding my breath. An update to Windows 7, as pleasing as that sounds, would also require an update to everything else connected to my computer. We have a lot of old digital signage equipment that requires old software just to connect to it; software that's probably not Win 7 compatible. In fact, our big, expensive, and outdated digital sign outside requires either its current old DOS-based software, which will definately not run on Windows 7, or to be laid to rest and replaced with a newer sign. I prefer the newer sign option but $500k or more does not fly too well with upper management.  So, we are stuck with the old, outdated stuff - hardware, software, NSPs, VSPs, XYZs, blah blah.
As far as anything Adobe may or may not have done wrong, I did some research in the beginning. I discovered that an older version of AE (CS4 I believe) is bundled in with the boxed suites for those of us stuck on older Windows. This was a nice move for Adobe, but it would have also made sense to offer the same thing in the Cloud. At the very least, their customer service reps should be trained to ask the question "what version of Windows will you be running?"  I'm not complaining about the CSR I spoke with (in fact, he was very helpful and friendly). I just wish this had been mentioned before the purchase was made. We would have probably purchased the boxed suite instead.
