Yes but you have to check this out because AFTER 5 changs, it will stay with the fifth choice. You can crack it but I won't discuss that on this forum.

ATV 2, bought in Germany(!), can't play PAL with 25 fps ?

I still can't believe it, but when i search the forums, it seems that the black ATV is not able to play my PAL recordings smoothly.
Actually my new little black box is switching my Samsung Plasma to 720p@60Hz.
But with this setting it's impossible to watch a 25fps movie!
I am not an engineer but i think those at Apple who are developing should know about the differences between PAL and NTSC.
I still have a little hope that this it's me who does not know how to read the manuals and setup his home cinema correctly. But the more i read about this issue the more i'm afraid that Apple failed!

i've had many media players.
I think i will call Apple and look what they can do in a future update of iOS.

I found your support page by searching E0M18UA#ABA (as opposed to EOM18UA#ABA) which I assume was a simple typo. To answer your original question, the answer is to identify and isolate the cause of the errors and issues you are experiencing. Once you identify each issue, you can find what it takes to get beyond them without having to refresh or recover so frequently.
You can only troubleshoot and identify the issues that are currently happening. If you are getting freezing right now, first take a look at this document specific to the freezing to narrow down the cause: Computer Locks Up or Freezes (Windows 8)

Another valuable tool when trying to identify the source of the problems, is to perform a clean boot after having one of the issues and trying to recreate it. This shows how to remove startup items. A good strategy is to disable half of the available items first, then restart and try to recreate the issue. If you cannot recreate it then perhaps there is a problematic startup item. If you can recreate it then disable half more, and repeat a few times until you empty the startup items.: How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Keyboard+trackpad not functioning at all on HP 2000 Notebook PC! please help!

Tonight I turned on my laptop (HP 2000 Notebook PC) to find that the Keyboard and track pad was not responding, the only thing that worked was the wireless mouse.
I can not find the product number but the name is HP 2000 Notebook PC, the operating system is Windows 8, I can't login to see if there are any error messages, the last thing I remember doing was trying to apply a new cursor image and it told me to restart and when I did I couldnt log back in or type anything at all, I could only use the mouse.
Also the things I have tried to do are: Restart Computer, Take out batter and restart. (I cant do much because I can't type in password)
All help will be greatly appreciated!
UPDATE: I logged in using the On-Screen Keyboard, it seems like a hardware malfunction and not a virus because i cant find anything in my downloaded stuff that wasnt there before. So it is just a hardware malfunction.
UPDATE #2: it says that the driver (for keyboard and touchpad) may be corrupt or missing and it says Code 39 in parenthesis.

How Do You Filter, Or Stop Automatic Updates From Windows or HP to a Windows 8, 2000 Notebook PC.

I would like to know how I can see automatic updates from Windows or HP before they go into my computer? The reason is, is that these auto updates mess up my IE and my printer software. I have a HP 2000 Notebook PC, Windows 8, 64 bit. I would like to be able to filter or see these updates before they go in my computer. Is there anything I can do, or a setting I can set?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP 2000 Notebook and issues Microsoft updates. Here is a fix from Microsoft.
Type Update in the Start Menu search box, select Windows Update from the top of the menu and in Windows Update select Change Settings on the left side of the window.

Volume won't work on my new HP 2000 Notebook pc

HP 2000 Notebook Screen not working.... Still

I have an HP 2000 Notebook that is running windows 8 64 bit and the screen on the laptop will not work. When I turn on my computer, the screen won't show but the fans and everything els will work as normal. The capslock button does blink in a 2 blink series, which according to HP means bios error, but I believe that is not the proublem. I have tried to fix this proublem by all of the following:
- Holding the winsows key and b, then pressing the power button (for one second) which should direct me to my bios update but it doesn't becuase i still can't see anything
- Switching the ram into different slots, I have 2 sticks of 4 gigs, I have also tried just one stick
- Taking out the battery and unplugging it and holding the power for 60 secconds and plugging it back in... multiple times (Getting rid of extra charge)
- Checked if the black light was dead but it wasn't becuase normaly if you take a flashlight to the screen you can still see it slightly but I can't see it at all
The weird thing is, is that I can plug it into an external monitor and it will work. Also every now and then the screen will work for about a day but then the next day it won't work again. I even tried calling HP, but for them to talk me through it and try to fix it, it cost $75.

Welcome to the HP Forums.
I understand that you're having issues with a black screen on your notebook. I will try to assist you with this.
As you're troubleshooting led to trying an external monitor and that is working, the issue is more then likely with the actual notebook display itself. I would guess with it working at times, it could be a loose wire in the display. It could also be the display.
If you're comfortable you can check this yourself, Maintenance and Service Guide - this has visuals and instructions on replacing components. It also works as a guide when it comes to opening a notebook to just check wires and components.

Internal hardware drivers needed for HP 2000 Notebook.

Perhaps someone can help me pull a pawn shop "bargain" back from a life of exclusive Linux service. The previous owner had appearantly attempted to retrograde the notebook from Windows 8 to Windows 7 using a Win7 recovery disc and an image of another computer. So of course the entire system, recovery partition and all, were formatted away and replaced with an unauthorized and broken install of Windows. I'm OK running Ubuntu on if for now, but I will eventually want to install a fresh copy of Windows and can't find the internal hardware drivers for my HP 2000 Notebook (product number C2M42UA) anywhere on HP support website. Before wiping away the unauthorized Win7 install I looked at the device manager and remember Realtec HD audio and Intel HD video and have located those drivers elsewhere on the web, but can't be sure what else I'll need. I do seem to recall that with the bad install the ethernet adapter was without a driver, for example.
Where can I find a list of drivers for which to scavange the web? Looks to me as if a hard drive failure will leave any newer HP computer in worse shape since they replaced the recovery discs with a recovery partition on the hard drive it's meant to restore. Something I should keep in mind in future computer shopping.

Remember, when you buy a new laptop they do not give you recovery disks. That has been true for many years. However, there is a Recovery manager that will let you make those disks and if you do that and store them in a safe place you are always able to recover your system. Windows itself also now has very good backup tools including the ability to make a complete system image of the computer in its current state (not factory condition) so there is no real reason you cannot be fully protected against a hard drive crash.

Upgrading a HP 2000 Notebook

Hey I have a question, can I take apart and replace a HP 2000 Notebook. I would like to replace my processor. Currently my processor is AMD E-300 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.30 GHz, Also a 64-bit operating system. My graphics card is bad also, want to replace that also.

I recently purchased the same product and found that the E-300 processor, along with all the new HP computers with an AMD processor, is soldered to the motherboard. The only way to upgrade the processor (other than soldering a new one to the board) is to buy a new motherboard. When replacing the motherboard, your original copy of windows will no longer be valid so you will have to buy a new copy. The combined cost of the motherboard, cpu, and OS would be more than the value of the computer. I would just return it and go ahead and spend the extra money on a better computer. That's what I plan to do.
Try and find a PC that doesn't have a ball socket processor so if you want/need to upgrade it, you can do so without it costing you big $$$. Intel processors have pin-type connections and are easily upgradable. If you really want to upgrade you motherboard and processor, I would suggest you refer to the manual for the proper part numbers. Keep in mind some of those parts are for use outside of the U.S.

Playing Pal DVD App Question

After reading Apple's DVD Player instructions about playing PAL discs, I'm left still with the following questions:
1. If I change Regions to play a PAL disc, does that mean I can repeatedly play PAL discs from that Region? Or am I simply limited to playing that one PAL disc from that Region?
2. If it is just the one disc from that PAL Region, can I repeated play that disc from the Region? Or can I only play it once?
3. Once I eject the one PAL disc from that Region, can I reinsert it at a later date and play it again?

OK, so if I understand you correctly, setting the Region is 'drive based' and not 'disc based'. Meaning that setting the Region allows all disc from that Region to be played for as long as the user likes, provided they don't change the region again. If they do they lose one of their multiple opportunities to change Regions.
Is this correct?

HP 2000 Notebook PC Right Hinge Is Loose

A little over a year ago I purchased a HP 2000 Notebook PC.
Over the course of a few months I noticed a subtle popping or cracking noise whenever I opened my laptop. I didn't make much of it at the time, but now it's starting to become more noticable. What more I have also realized that the right hinge of my laptop cover is loose, which I believe is the sorce of the popping whenever I open my laptop screen.
I'm concerned in the event that the hinge breaks completely. To make matters worse I know my warranty expired earlier this year, but this issue came up before and it only just recently started coming to my attention that it might become a problem later down the line. My laptop is my livelihood and I can't live or do my work without it.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
