Can my iphone "attack" the company server when connected through wifi?

I've been told by my network administrator to stop connecting to the office wifi cause my iphone was attacking the server. He also asked me to install an antivirus which I did (iSafeGuard), ran it and nothing was detected on my iphone. I have a feeling they don't want us to connect to the wifi (since it is mainly for personal use), but they are telling me that the reason is because my phone is compromised. I'm ok with not connecting, and would have if they had asked me not to; but I think they are just pretending that there's something wrong with my phone and that it is attacking the server. Can anyone clarify if that's possible at all!? And if yes how can I make sure that my phone is not compromised. Thanks.

Your network administrator is an idiot as there are no viruses that run o iOS therefore no antivirus software is needed.
Unless you jailbroke your phone it is not compromised.
Ask them to show you proof in their logs and packet monitoring that your phone is causing a significant amount of network traffic.

Yes we are connected. I even tried by connecting to the computer thru iTunes. It is not working for either of us. Just says unable to download at this time. I was able to connect and restore my apps from my old iPhone buy it won't let me add new ones for do update on the old apps.

At the moment, when I re-connect to wifi (come home), I must select AirPlay as the desired audio.
I know this is managble, but it would work a lot more easily if it was possible to select a default for AirPlay, or iPhone.

I would suggest that you perform a "soft" reset on the AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBS) that you just got from eBay. This type of reset will temporarily (5 minutes) disable both the base station and wireless security passwords so that you can access it with the AIrPort Utility to make the necessary changes.

It sounds like you might be on a Windows computer and the Apple Mobile Device Service isn't running. Check this support document with help for that error. http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1567

I have configured wlc 2504 with cisco 3600 ap .when i connected my laptop wlan on n range,i tried to ping with my network devices am getting high latency 130ms,150ms
Can anybody provide solution for this

Hi Veeramani,
There are actually a lot of different factors that can go into high latency type problems on your wireless deployment such as co-channel interference, interference from other wireless devices, and overall utilization on the AP/Channel. With that said, there are a number of questions that need to be answered:
1. Is this issue isolated to either the 802.11b/g 2.4Ghz, the 802.11a 5Ghz, or both bands?
2. While associated to the Access Point, in the Controller Web interface, navigate to Monitor > Access Points > 802.11a/n or 802.11b/g/n(pick the band your client is associated on) > Find the Access Point and scroll to the far right. Hover over the small blue box and select 'Detail'. Find the section labeled 'Load Statistics' and let me know what you see as the Channel Utilization percentage as well as the 'Attached Client Count'
3. Since you have a 3600, I am assuming you have CleanAir enabled on them. Navigate to Monitor > Cisco CleanAir, and see if you can pinpoint any noticeable interfering devices with high % Duty Cycle

Apple can you please advise if this is going to be sorted asap? Alot of people dont turn there phones off all of the time so wont notice however for those of us that do and have to this is a really HUGE ERROR that needs your QUICKEST ATTENTION !

That means you didn't do it properly. Use that article, make sure you do see those tracks in itunes and they do not have clouds next to them before you sync.

Not only can i not see the individual chaptes -- apparently like you and everyone else suffering through the "improved" iOS7 -- when my audiobook repeats a "file" within chapter, which it sometimes does, I cannot get "inside" the chapter and move forward to where I'm supposed to be.

Had the same issue and finally solved it. After the upgrade to Mavericks our 2 new Macbook Airs stopped connecting automatically to Wifi while the older machines the kids had still worked fine.
Bought a new airport extreme and problem solved. Our Airport Extreme was about 5 years old and was probably not compatible with the new OSX.
BTW this was after trying everything people suggested on this forum and a 4 hour marathon tech support call with Apple where we reinstalled the OSX.
***** to need to spend $200 but glad the problem got solved.
New extreme is also mega fast so its all good.

I ended up having to open another account but how can I access that account to retrieve my other songs? I realize I can't transfer between accounts but maybe at least burn to CD?

You can reset your Apple ID password via the steps in the first article below. I would try the option to answer your security questions. If those steps do not work then you may need to reach out to our account security team to reset this old Apple ID password. Once this is done you should be able to access your old DRM protected purchases.
