Can my iPhone contact list be sent to my macbook pro?

After my most recent update to my Macbook Pro either I inadvertently deleted or it simply got wiped, but my Contacts disappeared. I tried reverting to an older version but I simply cannot locate it.
I have a similar but smaller contact list on my iPhone 5s. Is there any way to transfer the list from the iPhone to the Macbook? If so, could someone please explain the process, this old minded person cannot figure how to do it, if it is possible. Thank you in advance.

Runnig 10.6.8 on a MacBook PRO.....

The easiest fix if you're running Snow Leopard is to export all your contacts, then import them into something like google (I already had a gmail account), and then just use google to sync your contacts instead of icloud (via the sync with Google button in the address book settings).
Its a bit sluggish to update, but it works well. You can then point your iphone, and other iOS devices to use google for contacts too.
If Apple don't want to look after their customers, other companies will gladly do so....

I used to be able to see the emails sent from the device on the sent mailbox and the emails sent from the MacBook Pro on an automatically created folder called "Sent Messages" that disappeared. I tried deleting the account and creating it again, both on the computer and on the iPhone, but the problem persists. Any idea on how I can solve this problem?

On your Mac
in your Mail App, open the folders on the left hand side, by clicking SHOW on top.
GO down, where your email acount is and unfold.
Select the SENT folder. If you cant find it, it means it's already used as your SENT folder. Skip next step.
In Mail App Menu select MAILBOX -> USE THIS MAILBOX FOR -> SENT
Maybe that does the trick?

My yahoo e-mail was recently used to send Spam to everyone in my Iphone conact list that has an e-mail address associated with it. I do not use my yahoo account on a PC just on my Iphone. It was your Yahoo email account that was hacked, which is why the spam was sent from your account, or more lilely spoofed to appear to be from your account (actually sent from the spammer's email). This is common with Yahoo email which has been easily hacked. If you ever sent any emails to the people who received the spam, their email address's are easily found by the hackers.
As far as your Contact list on your iPhone, the only way it can be hacked into is if the phone was ever jailbroken. OTOH, if you sync your contacts with social media like Fakebook and Twits, your contacts are long in the wild.

There is a setting in the phone that allows you to choose whether or not to synce contacts from FB into you phone... it seems you have it set to sync... the setting is in Settings > Facebook then toggle the Contants selector to OFF

Sounds like you activated one of the features of accessibility. Go to Settings, General, Accessibility, turn off Invert colors. Also check under Triple click to see if that is what is selected and you can turn that off as well.

We received our Mac the first of the year. We previously had iPhone's and had all our contact on them. When it can time to set everything up we thought, ok, plug it in and it will work find, everything will import and sync and the world will be a great place. Wrong. My wife did the set up with the itunes account, that went smooth but the contact list is the problem. It up loaded once and then I decided to do something with it and it was erased. My fault I know. I tried to just upload the contact again from the iPhone but they were erased from my wife iPhone. The setting were check "Sync add book, all" I've changed the setting in itunes so they don't sync so i don't lose them. Any thought would be helpful.

The ideal method would be to export them as VCF files using a computer.
If you only have access to the Server on your iPhone, you can individually open each one and Share it to yourself by text or email.
