Can my kids download tunes from my computer and their computer at home?

Can my kids dowload playlists from my computer to the nano's? The nano's are tied to their home computer. Or to put it another way can a ipod or nano be registered via two separate computers or itune accounts.

No.
IPads sync with one computer. Attempting to sync them with more than one will result in the contents being wiped. ALso, your apps are tied to an apple ID, so unless you have their iPads on your apple id, they'll have to start all over with their apps.

Apps are forever tied to the AppleID used to download them.
    You can download the missing apps under your own AppleID;
if they are not free apps, you will have to pay for them.

how can i download music from my computer to my i phone?

If the music you are wanting to have on your iphone was purchased through itunes you can then go to your front display to settings>itunes and app store from there you have a toggled switch that allows you to automatically download music and apps by toggling the switch. You will need to toggle the switch below these switchs that allows for cellular data to be enabled if this has not already been enabled. This then will automatically download music and apps directly to your device with no additional charge to you.
    Good luck.

Is there anyway to take a downloaded app from one computer and put it on another without rebuying it. I have a macbook that I bought the new iMovie and iPhoto on, but I would rather it be on my iMac. So is there anyway I can change it? I thought that if I bought it the apps on my macbook, they would be avaliable on my imac like the mobile devices operate. The macbook has 10.6.8 cause its a older model and I think lion would slow it down. Any help??

Just redownload it on the other computer by logging into the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to purchase it.

  • Can I download music from my computer to my iphone 3gs?

Can I download musci from my computer to my iphone 3gs?

Yes. Connect the iPhone to your computer and select it on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes (if you don't have iTunes installed then you can download it from here), and there should be a series of tabs on the right-hand side, one of which is Music - select that tab and you can then select which of your music to sync to the phone.

  • HT1711 can i delete a movie from my computer that i've previously purchased in itunes and then download again when I want to watch it?

Can i delete a movie from my computer that i've previously purchased in itunes and then download again when I want to watch it?  Seems like this would help me manage storage space.

Yes, provided the movie is still in the iTunes Store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks only from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to restart iTunes. While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide. I have searched the threads and not been able to find any help.
My situation is this. I have an app, Stitcher, that allows me to listen to podcasts on demand via my iPhone. I use it frequently. I recently upgraded to iPhone 4, and when I did, it upgraded my app on my iPhone. Due to many dropped calls, I returned my iPhone 4 and resumed using my iPhone 3g. Now in iTunes, when I go to sync, it says that the stitcher app only works with iOS4, which I won't upgrade my 3g to because of speed issues. The only version available on the app store won't work on my phone. Also, I have a backup, but not TimeMachine, so I am not able to pull it off a backup.
I noticed that I still have the old version on my iPad. So I deleted the app in my iTunes/Mobile Applications folder and synced, but the Stitcher app didn't reappear in my mobile app folder. Is there any way to get the app off my iPad, so I can put it on my iPhone?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ken
Does the app show up on the App List on iTunes? If it does, then it's been saved to your iTunes folder on your hard drive. Do a search for the app, because I just don't think you can move an item from your iPad to iTunes, unless you purchased it on the iPad, which it sounds like you didn't.
You should be able to re-download the iPad version of the app, if one exists. Contact the developer, who might be able to help out.
But thanks for pointing out the app. Just downloaded it to my iPhone 4.

You download apps from the Apple AppStore.

You'll want to enable Manually Manage Music and Videos. Once you do that you'll be able to drag and drop the music from the computer to the iPod.

  • Why can't I download projects from iPhone to computer through iTunes to clear space on my device?

Why can't I download projects from iPhone to computer through iTunes to clear space on my device?

Yeah, I have this problem too.  Since the HD purchase usually includes the SD movie too, I am perfectly content to watch SD on my Windows computer and HD on my AppleTV.
Only workaround I've found for this is to buy the HD version of the movie on my iPad.  Then, download it to my computer via iTunes or by transferring it from my iPad.  I hear you can buy it on an iPhone too (4 or 4s) and achieve the same result.
But that's a terrible workaround.  I have a number of other HD movies I've purchased with previous versions of iTunes, so this is absolutely something that Apple has introduced relatively recently.
