You know you don't have to buy a replacement dvd drive from apple. For example, take a look at OWC's selection.
You don't say what year your mac pro is so I use a 2008 as an example. On that page click the little picture that shows a 2008 mac pro. That will take you to this page. And there's an example of a Lite-On drive.
In addition, on the right side of that page are links to instructional videos on how to add the drive to your machine. Click, for example, Optical, med (medium) and you will see how straight forward it is to change the optical drive.

No. There is no way to upgrade any Mac Pro older then the cylindrical 2013 Mac Pro to ThunderBolt.
The requirements of Thunderbolt require a totally redesigned motherboard and chip set rather any plugin cards. These motherboard were never developed for older Mac Pros. -

Yes. Did that with mine for years. Only issue was even though the Pioneer has a DVD "lip" to hold in place it was awkward at times.
I use something like a coffee table. Put a rubber backed pad to absorb sound vibration, allows all those messy cables to go underneath (and curtain would be nice too). -

There's a free and much simpler way than Apple Remote Desktop since that is enterprise level software (for schools and businesses.)
All you have to do is go into the Sharing system preference on your Mac Pro and turn on Screen Sharing.
Then you connect to your Mac Pro from your MacBook desktop. On the MacBook in the Finder desktop, go into Network, select the Mac Pro, and there will be a button at the top of the Finder window for screen sharing. Click it, log in, and you will be controlling the Mac Pro from the MacBook. -

Boot Camp isn't compatible with Windows 8 at the moment, but if you have OS X Mountain Lion, Apple should release an update soon with Windows 8 support.
If you want to use Windows 8 now, you can install Parallels, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox and install Windows 8 on a virtual machine. Another option is to install Windows 7 on Boot Camp if you want.

Nothing, other than an adapter to convert the plug pin configuration as required. The power supply can be used with both 100-120V 60 Hz and 220-240V 50Hz power sources without doing anything.

Greetings, I'm having trouble with my iMouse continually disconnecting from my MacBook Pro in Mavericks. The batteries are solid. I just eliminated the bluetooth for my headphone. I have used the mac to cast on my TV. I use bluetooth. ANy ideas?

I am a small business and I was thinking of using the new mac pro for a new workstation on my studio and to also use it as a server for 5 work others stations. Is that possible? Or I am asking a bit to much work load to do for the Mac Pro?
Can the Mac Pro can run under Window XP and Autocad and still be accessed by other workstation whilst working on the cad software? Is booth camp will slow the machine like Virtual PC?

I am using FCP 7.0.3 on my Mac Pro. I bought a new mac book pro and loaded the software on to the lap top but the software is 6.0.3. How do i get the update to the lap top?
.. and by the way, the jump from FCP 6.0.3 to FCP 7.0 (or higher) isn't an "update" It's a full version "upgrade" that has to be done using the install discs (or disc images).

Unless you're trying to tether your phone to your computer or create a personal hotspot, it won't pair with your computer by bluetooth. File transfer by bluetooth is not supported. So, you can quit trying unless you're trying to tether.

Yes, they can ... best way ist to backup your current device with iTunes and setting up the new iPhone from this backup ... iTunes will ask you this when you connect your new one for the first time ...
