Can my wife and I merge our songs and share them? I bought songs using my id that she loves and she bought songs using her id and we'd like to listen to all musics in all our 5 devices w/o having to buy them twice! We have 5 devices.
We have 5 devices: 2 iPnones, an iPad, a MacAir and an AppleTV and we'd like to listen to all our music in all devices from a singlr, unified list, w/o having to log off/ logon or buy half of the songs again.
Please describe your setup in more detail. Where is all the music stored now? How are you syncing?

Thank you for your time. I'm trying to avoid that because she can then simply turn on mail syncronization and then she could read my mail. Another reason is our password policy, that enforces changing our windows logon password every 90 days. Of course changing windows logon passwords demands changing exchange account logon info (password) on Iphone. I have read somwhere that there was an app but it was removed from app store. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

ITunes Match Deletes all Music from all devices
My wife purchased and turned on iTunes match last night. She did this through her iPad and then turned iTunes match on on her HP Laptop. All of her music is now gone on all her devices. She had aprox 500 songs on her iPad which are now gone. Is there a way to restore music from an iPhone or iPad back up? Is there a way to recover the music from the cloud or another source. Maybe if I understand how the music was erased I can find it?. Any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
You can't, it's a fact. If one tries to enable iTunes Match on an IOS device before subscribing on the computer you will get a message alerting you to 'conect to iTunes on your computer'.
You subscribe via computer and then wait for it to match your entire library. Once everything is matched/uploaded it will be available in the cloud and to your other devices.
Now if she subscribed on the computer, had music on her iPad that wasn't synced, and then enabled iTunes match that's different. That would be the users responsibility though.

How do I down load previous music purchases from iTunes.
You can currently only re-download music purchases if you are in the US (re-downloading), and then only if they are still available in the store and if you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to buy them. If you are not in the US then have you not got backups of your purchases on, for example, external drives or CDs/DVDs that you can copy onto your computer and add to iTunes ?

Out of the blue, all of my purchased ringtones and music aren't displayed anymore on my iPhone.
I went to iTunes to see if they were stored there, but the downloads folder also appears to be empty. If I try to select a ringtone I've downloaded before, a popup appears saying that I've already purchased that item and asking if I want to cancel or buy. If I click on buy, then I pay for the item again even if I already have it! The only place I can still see my purchased items is in the iTunes application on my computer, but even though I've already selected sync, the ringtones and songs still won't appear on my iPhone.
What happeneded and how can I get them back without having to pay for them all over again?
Thank you!I'm having the same problem on an iphone 4s running iOS8; when i updated to iOS8, all my ringtones went missing, and when i got a £50 gift card for christmas (2014), I purchased some songs from the iTunes store on my iPhone. i downloaded songs from paramore, panic! at the disco, coldplay, and imagine dragons, over wi-fi, and they went into my iphone music library; but when i re-opened the music app a few days later, in a place where i had no wi-fi, except for my 3G phone signal, some cloud icons appeared next to my newly purchased songs, telling me to re-download them from the cloud, when i haven't even deleted them. this has happened twice now, and i had to use up some of my 5GB data allowance to redownload them from the cloud. This is annoying and i need to fix this issue ASAP.

"All Music" syncing all audiobooks. How to avoid?
I want my entire music library on my nano (I upgraded to a 16Gb), but I don't necessarily want all my audiobooks on there. The problem is that when I choose "Entire Music Library," every single audiobook I have adds as well (this is 5-6 Gb). If I choose "selected playlists, artists and genres," the audiobook issue is solved, but then the sync is driven by my playlists which are set up to rule out things like "Spoken word" (like radio dramas) to keep my iPhone from being too full (ah, the joys of having multiple MP3 devices).
Aside from deleting audiobooks or changing their type to, say, iTunes U, (which would in turn remove them from the "Audiobook" menu item), is there a way to control which audiobooks are synced while ensuring that anything NOT considered to be an audiobook IS synced?Hello Xian,
I'm not sure what you mean by driven by playlists, but I am assuming it has to do with Smart Playlists, correct? Otherwise, if not, I don't know why or how syncing one iPod would affect another that you also happen to be syncing to the same iTunes library.
When you sync your entire library to your iPod, have you tried enabling the option to only sync "checked songs and videos" option from under the iPod's Summary tab? This will keep your iPod from syncing anything in your library without a check mark next to it.

I am wanting to purchase the Pages app from the App Store. I do not want to purchase it 2 times, once for me, and again for my wife. We both share the same iMac, and we both use seperate Apple ID's. Is there a way to purchase it under my user, and have it download to her user as well? I have searched all over the forums for a cut and dry answer to this, to no avail. No. You need to buy it for your Apple ID and for the other. You will have problems with updates

Restore them from the recycle bin if they are there, or your backup, or find an unerase or file recovery tool, or see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device if you have one.

They should transfer ok but make sure and use the same Apple ID that was used for the original purchase.
Connect the iPod to a computer, launch iTunes.
From the iTunes menu bar click File > Transfer Purchases From...
