Can NI-Device be multiple addresses on 1 interface?

We develop instrument cards in CompactPCI that use NI-Device and a PXI-GPIB card for their GPIB interface.
We'd like to be able to put multiple instrument cards in the same CPCI chassis with the one GPIB card, but give each instrument a different address. This is important for backward compatibility with our existing line of equipment, because many of our customers have systems set up and software written to expect two different devices at two different addresses.
Can this be done with NI-Device? Ideally I'd want to route incoming commands on address 14 to one piece of software and incoming commands on address 15 to another piece of software, etc.
I guess the best analogy I can make for what I want would be si
ngle-node multi-homing for TCP/IP. For example I can have a two applications using two different IP addresses on the same Ethernet card. I'd like to do the analogous thing in GPIB using NI-Device.
Thanks!

The standard version of NI-Device does not support multiple listening addresses for a single GPIB board. However, NI-Device version 1.0.1 does support multiple device simulation. There are a couple of restrictions, however, including the fact that you must be running Windows NT4. Currently NI-Device 1.0.1 only supports the PCI-GPIB board, but if you send me an email, we can discuss some options with the PXI-GPIB board.
Thanks,
Eric Singer

  • I want to order multiple copies of an iPhoto book I have already purchased once. Is there a price break for multiple copies? Also, can I send to multiple addresses?

I want to order multiple copies of an iBook I have already purchased. I have two questions:

    2) Is there a price break for multiple copies?

    1) No.
    2) No.

  • I can no longer select multiple addresses from my Mail address book when forwarding emails

Since updating to Mavericks I cannot select multiple addresses from my address book when forwarding emails.
I can select them individually using the + sign in the address bar but cannot select any when I open my Contact list as I have done with previous systems.
Additionly, the full address appears in the "To" window instead of just the name and without the email address. I have selected "Smart Address" from the Preferences menu, View section.
    Help!

Why are you using a Hotmail or Live Mail SMTP server to send email with your Gmail account?
This is likely the cause of the problem. Use Gmail's authenticated SMTP server to send email with your Gmail account.

  • Can't send to multiple addresses

I'm trying to send a group email through Apple Mail via Gmail. I addressed the email to the group and after hitting SEND get a dialogue box stating "Cannot send message using the server smtp.gmail.com". I've had no problem sending individual mail or receiving mail so I know the account is set up correctly.
I then tried to manually send to the names in the group by placing one in the TO field and the rest in the BCC field. I then got a message stating that the addresses weren't valid. The program was reading the actual name instead of the email address.
Can anyone tell me what's going on? Thanks very much!

Try to send again later ?
I've had times in the past when the "outgoing server" message popped up. It was set wrong . . . but, sounds like this hasn't been a problem for you in the past?
Also, I was able to send mail, out, on a another server name, even though it was from a totally different ISP acct' name . . . bizarre, I know. I remember the "outgoing server" window offering me a choice of our other ISP that we'd put for a different mailbox....
You might try that: create another outgoing server (aka smtp.whateverisp.com)
    Good Luck . . .

I have an Apple ID with a single  e mail address. I want to set multiple addresses in the same ID. Can I? If so how?

    Howdy there johnzcarp,
As I understand it you want to have more than 1 email address under your Apple ID. You can have what are called Alternate Email addresses associated with your Apple ID and this article will help you get those setup:
Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses
    Alternate email address
You can add one or more alternate email addresses for use with Apple services such as Game Center, FaceTime, Find My Friends, iMessage, and OS X notifications.
Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com).
Select “Manage your Apple ID” and sign in.
    Add an alternate address:
Select Add Email Address, then enter your alternate address. Apple will send a verification email to that address. Didn't receive the email?
Follow the instructions in the email to verify the address.
    Edit an alternate address:
Select Edit next to the address, then enter the new address. Apple will send a verification email to that address. Didn't receive the email?
Follow the instructions in the email to verify the address.
Delete an alternate address: Select Delete next to the address.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

We are talking about the Mail app, right? In the Mail menubar, click on Window and then Previous Recipients:
That eliminates the previous recipients. If you are talking about the suggestions because there are 10 people with the name 'Steve' in your Contacts, then I do not know how to eliminate those unless you change the name slightly or wait until you type the last name or some other differentiator.

    1. Yes, it is.
    2. You may be able to use the same address by adding a plussed suffix to it, such as [email protected] If that doesn't work, create separate emails.

Whenever I update my iPhone software, it asks me to sign in to iCloud with an old email address.  My other devices all have the correct address.  How can I get the correct address for my iPhone?  The only Apple ID that works for logging in is my new one.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • How can I add multiple addresses to a group within address book?

I realize you can add in addresses by going to 'Message' then 'add Sender to Address Book,' but what I'm interested in doing is within Apple Mail, adding multiple addresses into a specific group within address book. I've tried to do this using mail scripts but keep getting an error.
Is it possible to do this?
    Thanks.
    David

So far, FWIW all I've got is individual AddToAddressBook, then in AB itself, drag and drop one by one from the main list into the desired group.

I found this post on linux forums which say It's a HAL related problem.
"rmmod ehci_hcd" made it work for some of these guys Which one of them explains It's a data speed issue. Cables.., 2.0 1.0, that sort of things. Read it, I bet you'll get more out of it, It's old though.
Try removing the module, plugging the drive, check dmesg, and mount manually.

  • Can pseudo devices be exported to multiple zones?

I have implemented a pseudo device driver. Can I export the device to multiple zones at the same time? All synchronization issues will be handled in the driver.
    Thanks!

yes, i think you could, just like to produce the zero, null those pseudo drivers. So you need to read the Solaris10 source code and undertand it how to create those pseudo drivers.
