Can no longer access hotmail via Mail on Mac Pro

I have set up Mail on my Pro OSX 10.6.8 long ago with my POP server password. Now it will not fetch mail, asking for my password. I reenter the correct password, but it still will not work. It again asks for my password. Reboot did not cure the problem.
What gives?

Apple changed MobileMe to iCloud and then restricted iCloud to 10.7 users only unfortunately
If your machine is a 64 bit processor Intel Mac you can upgrade to 10.7 for $29, however a lot of your 10.5/10.6/Rosetta based software could cease to function, especially third party hardware drivers for printers, fax machines, all-in-ones, scanners etc.

Also depending how old the machine is, if it can accept 4GB of RAM (preferred), older video card, may not run 10.7 very well or stable.
My advice is to keep at 10.6.8, get a web based email service that's plaform/hardware neutral, forward your iPhone emails there. Gmail/Yahoo Mail for instance.
When your ready for new hardware and all new software, then buy a new machine.
If your going to go to 10.7 on your present hardware, I advise you clone 10.6.8 to a external drive first, that way you can c boot off the 10.6 disk erase the drive completely (necessary to remove hidden Lion Recovery Partition) and option boot off the 10.6.8 clone and reverse clone.

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

Ater updating I can no longer access ny e-mails

After adding an update that was stated to be necessary for extra security I open my web e-mail account but can't actually open the e-mails.Instead of saying you have a number of new e-mails it says
'you have undefined e-mails' but they won't open.I have checked and can access the e-mails if I bypass Firefox and use Windows Mail.Can you help Please?

Can no longer access Facebook via Safari on iPhone

Ever since I loaded IOS 6 onto my iPhone 4, I cannot get to Facebook via Safari...it automatically reverts to the fb app. Even if I put www.facebook.com into the browser. I still access fb via Safari on my ipad (new ipad). This is important as I have low vision and the font is too small on the app.

I have the problem after upgrading my iPad to iOS 6.
It started with the app store, then facebook app and finally can't access to any apple.com page.
Already restore the iPad and now I can access to app store. Still working to get back my access to facebook.
If anyone has an idea about this?

My hotmail account seems to have been hacked - sending spam to all in my contacts. Although I ve been able to reset my password and can now access the account from another device, I can't from my playbook. It doesn't recognise my address/password ( old or new) and after turning the device off and on again, has lost most of my contacts. I've tried removing my email account details and re-installing to no avail. Can anyone help pls?

You said that you removed the account and then re-added it. Have you rebootd the device before re-aading the account, if you have not done so, it is then worth a try

On my N8 after the update, using the default browser just comes up with the message:
Unable to load page
The website is in WML format, which is not supported.
Worked fine before any solution apart from using Opera?

We would advise you to contact Microsoft on this issue, as it is their server which is force-redirecting the mobile browser to (now unsupported) WML page. However, it is likely that this issue will be resolved in their end as they seem to be updating their email service and encouraging users to switch to Outlook with an increasing push.
Wireless Markup Language is more or less a relic nowadays and seldom used, this is because most mobile browsers support full XHTML and even standard HTML5 + Javascript. For more info on WML, please see here.

LTE indicates cellular. Tap Settings > Cellular then switch Cellular Data ON.
If your Wi-Fi is working, then you should be able to access the internet.
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.

Help...I am a teacher and my students cannot use our brand new computers to import footage. No problems with old G5. FOr some reason i-movie will not recognize a camera is attached on the new mac pro's
Is there something I am doing wrong. The camera is a cannon GL2 we have been using for years. Tried multiple cables and machines. all have the same issue.

Make sure all of your applications are updated by using the Apple Software updates.
Then, try deleting the imovie preference file. Close Imovie. Then locate a file named com.apple.imovie.plist and get rid of it. Then empty the trash.
Most importantly, after the updates and the deleting, run a permissions repair with disk utility and restart. That may do it. The files you need to delete are found in:
/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.imovie.plist

iCloud's mail server settings are different from MobileMe's. Strictly speaking Lion 10.7.2 is required for iCloud, and on that Mail is set up automatically.
Snow Leopard cannot access most of iCloud's facilities, however you can set Mail up manually to access your email. The method is described here:

iCloud cannot access your AOL account (the MobileMe facility for checking external POP accounts does not exist in iCloud) - you will have to do this in the Mail application in the usual way. You could of course set up forwarding from your AOL account to iCloud (assuming they provide this facility) but you will not be able to reply using iCloud's SMTP server with anything other than the iCloud address as the 'From' address.

As far as automatic update, the iOS cannot be updated without user intervention, so it could not have been automatically updated.
You need to provide more information about your mail. Does this mean you cannot access the Mail app, you cannot download mail, or what? Not sure why you cannot access the cookies setting in Safari. Go to Settings>Safari>Block Cookies>set to what you want.
Problems with 3rd party Bluetooth devices, such as car audio, etc., generally has to do with vehicle manufacturers not providing updates to match the current Bluetooth stacks that are found in today's phones. You can go into the phone and remove the pairing for the car, and then go into car settings and remove the iphone. Then put both devices back into pairing mode and attempt to connect them again.
