Can no longer access iPhoto from the iMovie camera browser..not working. Also the Inspector tool not working properly. Cannot change clip duration.
How can I fix the INSPECTOR Tool? Clip duration is not working properly, it is very erratic. You type a number and a different one comes up on the clip.
Suddenly the iPhoto Camera browser in iMovie is not working properly either. Can not access my iPhotos to include them in iMovie project.
Have you tried this?
From the "HOME" screen, go to "SETTINGS > PRIVACY > PHOTOS" and see if iMovie is listed in the "PHOTOS" page. If it is, then tap the iMovie switch to "ON"
Now your Videos & Photos should be accessible in the iMovie App.

My MacBook Air has OSX Version 10.9 and suddenly I can no longer access iPhoto. THe message says, 'You can't use this version of the applicaitonn iPhot with this version of OS X. You have iphoto 9.3.2." When I try to update iPhoto, I get a message saying I signed in with a different apple ID and password. This all happened about the same time I got a new iphone. One of the folders on my external hard drive has transformed into a unix executable file and I can no longer access my files. Is there any way to save the data?

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.) -
I have CS5 and LR5. they will not talk anymore. Everything was working 5 days ago. I can no longer access CS5 from LR5 edit, then drop it back into LR5. Need support

I updated my ipad but when I went into dragonvale it no longer recognized me and made me create a new account. As a result I can no longer access my park. I have tried to go into the Game Center to restore my park but i do not have any options to restore my old login/ account. Any tips?

I have a mac pro which I recently made to share with my mac desktop. iphoto was updated on the mac pro from 8.2.1 and I can no longer open iphoto. I get an error message You can’t open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto. The only option is for me to quit. I have tried to restore with no luck. I tried reinstalling using my Application CD. Help?????
when you opened the shared library with the newer version of iPhoto (iPhoto '11) you were given a warning that your library would be converted and could not be used by older versions - you clicked ok to go ahead - there is no updo available - either upgrade to iphoto '11 of the MBP or load your backup of the iPhoto '09 library on it - older versiopns of i{Photo can not read newer libraries

I have been managing 3 websites using iWeb for the last several years, using both my iMac and Macbook. However for the last two weeks, I can no longer access these sites from my macbook. It appears "empty". When I first started seeing this, I took it to the Genius Bar in another city and he moved some library contents to my desktop - still didin't help.
I know iWeb is a thing of the past, but I can't stop right now and learn something new for about the next 4 weeks (in a sports team in the middle of a season)
. After that, I will have time to learn a new product.
Also, what is a suggestion for replacing iWeb? Sandvox? Rapid Weaver?

In that folder, you will find a single file, called Domain. That's got all the data for all your iWeb sites. If that file is missing, or if it has become corrupt, you will need to restore it from an earlier backup.
As for replacing iWeb, either Sandvox or RapidWeaver should work. Which works best will depend on your own tastes. Note that neither is capable of fully importing iWeb sites, as those sites will have a lot of content that is copyrighted by Apple. I can no longer access Yahoo from desktop icon; attempt to report this to Firefox fails. Help.
I have always been able to access Yahoo from my desktop icon. In the last few days, this has not worked 90% of the time (once in a while I can get through). I need to access it through my Verizon account. Why is this suddenly happening - for years I have been able to use the Yahoo icon.

I can no longer access Bejeweled Blitz through facebook. I get the message, "your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit". I can access Bejeweled through FB using my husband's log in so to me that suggests the problem is with my log in. Help please.

I have had no issue accessing Facebook in the past using my MacAir. Last night each time I would try and access the page, an error message would appear, saying that unable to establish a secure connection to the server "www.facebook.com"". The problem continues this morning. I have not updated any software or made any changes. One minute it was working, the next it was not. I do not have any parental controls; I have deleted the cookies; and I have reset safari. I can access all other websites that I have tried. I am using Version 6.0.4.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Now open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If nothing above helped, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, restart your internet modem and router. Then quit and relaunch Safari and try Facebook. -
I can no longer access iphotos in Finder
I used to be able to click on Photos (I think that´s what it was called…) in my Finder Sidebar and see a list of .jpgs of all my iPhoto photos. This was very useful, for example, if I wanted to attach a photo into an email, insert a photo into a document, or copy photos onto a flash drive. But SUDDENLY the folder is no longer on my Sidebar, and I cannot figure out where it might be, or why it would have disappeared. As far as I know, I did not do anything to move it. There is instead a PICTURES folder, but this folder has always only contained jpgs that are not in iPhoto (for example, from Photo Booth). It contains an iPhoto Library icon, but upon clicking this, it only opens up the iPhoto application. Could it be that I recently updated something that could have caused this to happen (though frankly I don´t remember having done so!)? What can I do to get that folder back?
PS. I know that there are clever ways to bypass my problem… like clicking on Reveal in Finder for the picture I want, and then dragging it into gmail, but this gets to be tedious, and just because it ultimately works does not mean that it solves the initial problem. I am not looking for clever bypasses… I want my photos to be back the way they are supposed to be!

Can no longer download videos from my digital camera to iPhoto.
OK people, please help me! I've been a Mac user for a couple of years now but still have no idea how to use it properly!! (having been a PC user all my life). Today I changed the quality on my digital camera (Panasonic Lumix TZ7) to be the lowest quality so I could fit more on my SD card, not feeling the need to read the instructions first. When I came to download to iPhoto, it wouldn't. So resorting to reading my camera instruction book, I needed to download some software that came with the camera which I did. But when I still couldn't download the videos using this software, I read the instruction book more thoroughly and discovered that the software I needed (PhotofunStudio) wasn't compatible with a Mac (PC only) and the software I had downloaded (Arcsoft Panorama maker and Arcsoft MediaImpression) obviously wasn't what I needed. When neither of these would download the video, I deleted the software from my iMac but when I opened iPhoto, it gave me some error messages about files not able to be read (or something similar, I can't quite remember) and a list of file names to which I clicked OK not even thinking about it. What that did was delete all videos from iPhoto I had downloaded from this camera! And now I can't download any videos from my camera to iPhoto!!! The only thing I can think is that it has changed the default download/view to be Arcsoft (even though I've deleted all the files - I think!!) So please, how do I get iPhoto to again download my videos? Sorry for the long winded post but because I am a hopeless Mac user, thought I would give as much info as possible!
I'm computer literate with PC but definitely not Mac - it scares me as I don't know what I am doing plus it is my OWN machine so don't want to stuff it up (which is exactly what I seem to have done!). I had no trouble previously downloading videos on the higher quality setting to iPhoto. Please can someone help?!OK thanks I will try that. It could be as simple as longer (larger) videos - iPhoto does not always handle larger video files well

iPhoto is not a download and view program - it is a photo management database program that imports photos - Image Capture is a download program - Preview is a view program
The default program to download your photos is set in the preference panel of either iPhoto or image capture

My children updated system to yosemite, but i am now locked out of iPhoto and unable to access my pictures. Tells me i need to install and app, and when i go to store, it tells me this app is not available. How do I regain control of my photo library....
iPhoto did not come up in Spotlight and it was not in the applications folder and I did not delete it. I also did not remove it from the dock, but it was gone. Thus, it is my assumption that the 10.10.3 update removed it. If not, then it disappeared and Apple should allow you to get your old iPhoto back, but that also is now not available and I certainly did not remove iPhoto from the app store.
I usually perform updates, especially point updates to incorporate security fixes. I have used Apple products for many years and this is the worst mess I have ever seen. The new Photos application crashes instantly and iPhoto is gone. They could have at least left iPhoto alone for a few months, instead of removing it from my system and from the store. -
After update 5.4.1, I can no longer access TC from Finder sidebar
Time Machine can backup just fine (and it seems improved), but now when I click on the icon of my Time Capsule in the Finder sidebar, I see "connecting...", but eventually the connection times out.
Has anyone gotten this to work, or do I have to downgrade the firmware? Nice job, Apple!Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.

Can no longer access Gmail from Apple Mail in OS 10.7.5
Apple Mail stopped playing nice with my Gmail account.
I have IMAP enabled. All accounts are online. But there's no communication between Mail and Gmail. Whenever I try to update my mail, I get the following error message:
The server returned the error: The connection to the server “imap.gmail.com” on port 993 timed out.

Outgoing mail server (SMTP): gmail
It's almost as if Apple Mail thinks I'm offline.
