Can No longer BBM or Use the Internet

Title summarises it all really. I got a BB Curve 8520 for xmas, phone up orange, they put me on a temporary contract so i could use BBM and the browser until Jan the 5th when my contract is paid, at which point the BB £5 internet bolt on would be added.
This bolt on has been applied, im paying for the service. Yet i am not recieving it, and orange seem to ahve no idea as to why my phone isnt picking up the internet service.
I have performed the options, advance settings, hout routing table, register now, it has done nothing.
When i go on manage connections, service status its says : Blackberry internet service, connection: Mobile Network.
Considering orange have been afwul and not helped at all over then say if it has fixed itself in 48hours ring us back, i was hoping someone here might shed some ligh on the situation?

Strange, but if your BIS connection is through the mobile network, that's a clear indication that your service should be working.
Have you rebooted the device lately? 
Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner:
With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescirbed for most gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

    You cannot.  Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.
    it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!
    Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content.

    Check your smtp preferences in mail.app.
    See if mail.app's Connection Doctor has any useful info.  Does it's status indicate all is ok?  When you use it's Show Detail are there any (useful) error messages?

    Try the following.
    Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp50501-51000/sp50856.exe
    When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
    When complete, restart the notebook and let Windows fully load.  Open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again.

  • Can i be able to use the internet browser on macbook air?

    I would like to know if is it possible to use the internet browser on macbook air because I cannot shop online using safari browser here in China, the only accredited browser to shop online in China is the internet browser , any solution to this please?

    Chrome and Firefox work as well.  I am using Firefox now.

  • I can no longer scroll downward using the scroll ball.

    For no reason I can identify, all of a sudden I have lost the capability to scroll in a downward direction when using the Scroll Ball (or whatever the thing is called). I can still scroll upward. I have set Systems Preferences >Keyboard and Mouse >Mouse Preferences >Scrolling Options to Vertical Only. The Scroll Ball is set to Off. I have restarted the computer after changing the preferences to no avail.
    The same thing happens no matter what option I select in the Scrolling Options window, e.g., Vertical and Horizontal, Vertical Only, 360 Degree, etc. I can scroll upward only, not downward.
    I can scroll both upward and downward using the Up and Down arrows on the keyboard, but only upward using the Scroll Ball. I can scroll in both directions when I put the cursor on the sliding bar at the side of the window, and when I click on the up or down arrows in the side bar.
    How do I set up to restore the capability to scroll both upward and downward using the Scroll Ball?

  • Since I installed a new printer I can no longer print items from the internet.

    See above question. Bought my printer at Best Buy. They said it could be a browser problem. I have Firefox. My Firefox is up to date. No problem printing documents, just cant print items from the internet.

    Have you tried to see of the firmware on your printer needs to be updated? If apple happened to change the protocols for air print (I don't know if they did but anything is possible) then your printer's firmware will also need to be updated.
    You can also see if a simple reboot helps. Turn your printer off then on, power cycle your router - unplug it, count to ten, plug it back in, and reboot your iPad (hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple, then let go and let it reboot)
    sometimes just letting the electronics get a fresh start can help a ton.

  • Since upgrading to 3.6.13, i can no longer open tabs using the extension, only by right clicking on the open page, and then not always. I've had to go to Chrome as i can't get firefox to work.

    Firefox worked great. I have been using it for years. When i completed the recent update to 3.6.13, the new tab button/extension little + box quit working. I can click and nothing happens. I right click, get the drop down menu but nothing works. I cannot open a blank tab or windwo as when i want to go somewhere new without closing windows i have open. The only way i can access a new tab is if i go to my bookmarks and open one then use that screen to go where i wanted to go. I've had to switch to Google Chrome to complete tasks i need done online, but it doesn't let me do a lot of what i want to.

    I'll try to make this clear. I USED to be able to left click on a hyper link and the hyper link would open in a NEW tab. Now for some unknown reason the hyper link by default opens in the same tab (window). I have to right click the hyper link in order for it to open in a NEW tab. (Yes, my 'tools'> 'options'> 'tabs' are set to "open new windows in a new tab." (Please no answers telling me to get rid of the Ask toolbar because I don't have one.) Thank you.

    You are referring to the Pages application? And you do not have this drop down window in the menu bar under Share?
    I just tried it and clicked on Pages and my Mail app opened with the document already imported.
    Which Mac OS X version and Pages version are you using?

  • ITunes update removes essential software from my computer, which means I can't use the Internet.

    Two days ago, I updated iTunes to the latest version, but it appears that during the installation, vital software was removed from my computer. The result was that I couldn't access the Internet after the installation. I then did a system restore to get my computer back to how it was before I installed the new iTunes, with the result that the essential Internet file is back, but I can no longer open iTunes. I am getting the message that I need to change to the English version! I never selected any other version during the installation and in any case there was no such option.  I simply pressed the "Download update" from within iTunes.
    I have tried re-installing iTunes, but I keep getting the same result and have to keep reverting so that I can use the Internet.  Has anyone come across this problem? How do I resolve it?

    Okay than this definitely was not Apple. Apple support techs never have access to your mouse. It sounds like this company installed some software on your Mac. It is hard to tell what their intentions are but just assume in these situations that all your data was compromised. Possibly all your online accounts have been compromised such as social networks, banks, etc.. The smartest thing to do would be to change all of your passwords and reinstall OS X on your Mac. It sounds extreme but that's what happens when a 3rd party company gains control of your computer.

  • I can't use the internet in my BB Z10 due to band issues

    I bought a BB Z10 online (Ebay) and it's of T-mobile. it's unlocked now (the seller told me it was unlocked but it wasn't true so I had to do it here in Peru) and now I can't use the internet unless it is only through wifi connection. I contacted Movistar Peru and they say that it is because it was bought in the USA and it's for their band only. Is that true?

    armandolopezarenas, make CERTAIN that Movistar has not placed on your account the BlackBerry Data plan, it is traditional that they might, but on the Z10, you will ONLY need a general data plan.
    As to the APN, as asked above, check it and see. Some carriers enable the APN to be edited, and some do not.

  • Can connect to VPN but still unable to use the internet

    I have a MacBook Pro 5, 5 Running OS X 10.6.2 i have always been able to join my uni network and use the internet through VPN up until recently, I am not aware of any changes to my computer that could have caused this, i have had ICT Services at the University look at it and they have been unsuccessful, all the settings are correct and no other macs running 10.6.2 have this issue.
    I am able to connect to the VPN and the sent bar in network preferences shows activity but there is no activity in the received bar.
    What could the cause of this issue be?

    I'm assuming you meant "10.0.60.1-50".
    Those are 2 different subnets. The ranges you give for PPTP and L2TP should be on the same subnet as the network you are vpn'ing into, but not overlapping. - eg. if the internal network you are vpn'ing into is using a 10.0.50.x subnet w/ netmask of 255.255.255.0, the ranges could be something like this (this can vary, but I'm just giving you and example):
    Internal network DHCP range:
    10.0.50.1 - 10.0.50.50 / 255.255.255.0
    L2TP range:
    10.0.50.51 - 10.0.50.100
    PPTP range:
    10.0.50.101 - 10.0.50.150
    As long as the clients logging in are initially on a different subnet themselves (ie. a home network using default 10.0.1.x/255.255.255.0, etc.), this should work.

    erjubama10, my wife just recently started complaining about a similar problem with her Unibody Macbook. She states that when she's plugged into the power adapter that the network is extremely slow.
    I just have not got a chance to get the Macbook from her long enough to try to isolate the problem. If an when I do I'll post my finding. Until then I fully expect you to figure it out for me, LOL!
