Can no longer do Cmd N within the Save As dialog window

Hey guys
For some reason I haven't been able to make new folders within the Save As dialog window by pressing Command N after installing Leopard, I have to manually click the New Folder button. Were commands changed? Is it a bug? I would appreciate if someone can tell me how to get this command back.

Glad to hear you aren't crazy, but apparently some programmer somewhere was. I always use the button when I'm in Save as to create a new folder, something I do rarely, so I assumed it worked the way it did everywhere else, and, of course when I tried it here in Leopard it did work the way I assumed it ought to. Evidently there was an, umm, how to put this nicely....interface inconsistency (that sounds polite, I think) that was corrected in Leopard. There, I'm sure the original programmer won't be offended. Not to mention his boss, or whoever is supposed to be in charge of Human Interface Guidelines Compliance issues. Whoever it is seems to take frequent vacations....

I am woundering if there is possible to change the "save as window" in Adobe Reader X. I want this to be the same as the "open window", where you get more browse options.

Why do I see my open images in the Save As dialog window?

I have loaded about 10 pictures in the editor of elements 10. I want to save them to an sd card. When I try to do that it tries to save all of my pictures instead. What am I doing wrong?

To expand on what Michel said, when you use Save As, you have to select a folder in which to save the file. You will see the contents of whatever folder is currently selected. This could include the file you are about to save, any other files you may have opened from this location, and files you have not yet worked on. Opening a file for editing does not remove it from its folder.

I can no longer deselect by clicking outside the area

When I select an area in Photoshop CS6, I can no longer deselect by clicking outside the area. My tooltip displays the cross with the plus sign in the lower right to indicate I am in additive mode. I can right click for a dropdown menu and choose "deselect" , but that is a drag that interrupts my thought flow and so annoys me. I've tried going into preferences and making sure the cursor is "standard." I've reset my preferences. No caps locked, etc. What is going on? More importantly, how can I make it so that all I have to do is click outside the selection to deselect it. I'm working on a Mac, if that makes any difference. I'd appreciate any help here. Thanks.

I believe you have to have the selection mode set to New Selection in the tool options bar for that to work.
Or Cmd+D to deselect.

I was able to transfer my library books by downloading and then transferring them to my kobo through ADE. Now when I open my ADE my Kobo doesn't show up but the kobo is connected to my computer and I can see it in my control panel.

How can I start a new paragraph within the same table cell?

In Numbers, when adding text within a table frame, how can I start a new line within the same frame (rather than advancing to the next cell)? I'd like to enter a mini-list of several items of various lengths of data.

While Wayne's answer solves your problem, another possibility is to uncheck the box at the bottom of the Table inspector for "Return key moves to next cell." If that is unchecked, the return key types a paragraph return within the cell (the same as Option Return with the box checked).
With that box unchecked, Shift Return types a soft return (new line without a paragraph break).

I can no longer connect to itunes using the icon on my desk top.

my computer came with itunes which i used successfully but my nephew installed an other music program that i deleted and ever since then I can no longer open my itunes from the icon on my desk top. I just get the spinning circle for a few seconds and then nothing.

Is IOS 8 really appropriate with Ipod Touch 4, if the older Ipods do not have the capability then why are we prompted to install new operating systems.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Unsync/delete all videos and resync
- Reset all settings

This happens especially when many apps are running but even though there are plenty of memory resources available.
I have tried to find if something is using Firefox in the background, but have no way to know what that would be.
Their are no apparent viruses detected.
Firefox is version v5.0 and occurred in earlier release.
System is Windows 7 (64bit).

well, it's not the same hardware and it's a bit different.
I managed to pass that stage somehow but I still have a problem
I don't use the built-in creator tool that comes with Spyrus as it doesn't know how to append a pre-staged media that was created by SCCM that should apply the Windows file system to a second partition and the WinPE to the first partition.
I managed to do everything. my only problem is that the WTGCreator that comes with SCCM 2012 R2 creates the 350MB partition with FAT32 file system.
when I boot from the device I get the WinPE, I can choose a task sequence and then it fails when trying to apply the wim file. the error tells me that the 350MB partition is FAT32 which is not supported (even though it chooses the second partition, which
is all the rest of the disk space)
what I did was adding another task that converts the 32 Fat partition to an NTFS partition and then the process continues and finishes successfully! but that's a workaround.
I'm trying to make this process as smooth as possible without having additional steps

We are suffering very similar issues when communicating from my iphone to a friend who has both iphone and iPad enabled.
As long as I reply to an existing text chain, then it is visible on the target iphone. If I SMS the phone number, it gets routed to the IPAD!! And NO, I should not have to disable imessage when I want to send an SMS!!
