Can no longer install any apps on my E71
Yesterday, no problem. Today, it's impossible to install any applications on my Nokia E71.
All applications return this cryptic error message:
Application Closed: !InstallServer FSCLIENT panic 0
Reboot. Problem remains. Install a different application, no-go. Java apps, same thing.
Nice. I reflashed my phone, in order to try to solve the many, many problems I'm having with it. Now it insists on attempting to reinstall the software, from the memory card.
Why, Nokia, don't you give users the choice of reinstalling the backup files? Did it not occur to you that some users might not want to reinstall, since SOMETHING on the phone has gone bad and has caused the users to reinstall the firmware?!
Another freaking waste of time.

Does anyone know how to stop the behavior which causes the E71 to attempt to reinstall its software, after the Updater has been used to reinstall firmware?

Thanks for your suggestion Ned01, I tried this as a last ditch attempt, unfortunatly it made no difference in my case, but i'm pleased it did for you. However, because you reminded me to have another go at this problem, i tried something else (which i'd unsucsessfuly tried before), that is, i deleted the 'CLICK & SAVE " a/c i'd set up recently, and reverted to my previous payment me and would you know it , this time it worked !! I set up a trail purchase and it worked.
It seems to me that other poeple with this problem have to solve it by trail and error, but thank you for your help.Sandystone.. -

Restart your iOS device.

Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.

Update your device to the latest version of software.

Why can i not install any apps......Error 43
I need to say upfront, not very good with clever terms .... so simple english please guys let me try and explain my problem....
I am using an iMac if that is of any difference....I am trying to install Adobe Illustrator through the creative cloud. (the creative cloud in applications that then gives icon in toolbar on screen) when I click on the icon it then tells me updates are available, not allowing me access to apps or files etc. (in other words unable to install Adobe Illustrator) the options it gives me is "INSTALL NOW" or "QUIT" i click on install now and it brings up the error .... "installer was unable to access critical file/directory. Please try installing again (error code: 43)
When I hit quit hoping to get access to the available downloads it shut the creative cloud icon/manager off........now been trying for a week, what am I doing wrong....wasting my subscription

Did I miss something in the fine print? I installed Lion and and come to find out, I can no longer open any Word documents or Excel spreadsheets as they are no longer supported (apparently because they are PowerPC apps). Seriously?!?!?!?!! What are my alternatives?

You might find it helpful to "try before you buy" - there is a 30 day free trial offer for Office for Mac 2011, accessible from M's .com website.
You may be able to use this period to open and resave your old documents in a format that enables you to switch instead to using Apple's iWorks apps moving forward.
I initially intended to do something similar, but ended up buying Office as it provided an easier way (for me, at least) to continue working with years worth of old emails, letters, spreadsheets and other documents (from my PC days) without risking damage to their integrity, formatting, etc. -
I have iBooks 2.1 on ipad. I changed my password and can no longer update the app. If I delete the app and install the updated version, will I lose the books I have purchased?
Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if you can then update the app.
If you do delete the app then you should be able to re-download your ibook purchases via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the app. But in case some of them are no longer available in the store and/or you have PDFs or epubs in it, then you could first connect it to your computer's iTunes and do File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11) which should copy them over to the Books part of your iTunes library so that you have your own copy of them and can sync them back (even though they aren't iTunes purchases it should also copy over any PDFs or epubs that you have in the iBooks app) -
I have a annual plan, it supposed must be used in two terminals, but i haven´t been able to install any app in a second computer, it always says that the app is only available as a trial download. What can I do to solve this issue, and be able to use my paid plan in two computers?

I really need HELP with this so I can get my laptop working again to install new apps and get the updates to my apps?Fixed the problem by going to settings/store and logging out with apple ID. Then logged back in with password and updates, apps, and iTunes store seem to work ok now.

Double-tap on the Home button. You will see a preview of the app above the actual icon. Slide the preview up to kill it.

I have several very important school related documents on my iPad in the Pages app. Ever since i updated to iOS5, i can no longer open any documents in Pages that I made before I updated. Please help
Without the iPad connected, open up iTunes on your computer. Go to iTunes/Preferences/Devices and delete the backups that you're absolutely certain do not have the documents. Refer to figure below.
iTunes, select the iPad and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "NO" to creating a backup. (You don't want to create a new backup that does not have the docs.) You will then be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad. This time, say "yes."
Repeat all of the above as required until you get the docs. -

I installed the Genius for Apps on my new IPhone 5 and I can no longer access the App Store and when I tap App Store I just get a white screen with the heading Genius for Apps with a white screen and no active keys.
You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them. -
I can no longer open any attachments that are sent to me. I click on and get cannot preview (but have had this for ages). I am clicking on download and nothing happens. It does not download. I clicked to install a new version after updating and clicking repair. But still the attachments won't open including invoices I have received today. It is all attachments not just pdfs.

Since I updated my 4S iphone to the latest iOS7 version, I can no longer close any of my apps. As a result, all my apps remain open on my phone. Even powering down and restarting does not solve the problem. Specifically, when I double-click the start button, my open app icons display. But when I hold my finger on an icon, the apps do not wiggle and display an "x" to close. Any advice... thanks?!
Double tap the Home button, then swop upwards on the App Preview (not the App Icon). Tap the Home button again when done to return to normal screen.
