Can no longer run multiseat w/ 2 nvidia cards

Hello,
I've had a working multiseat configuration for a while now, though I haven't used it in about 3 months. I switched to this configuration a few days ago (by uncommenting lines in the Xservers file, like I always do). The problem is now I am getting this error in Xorg where the first seat that should start does not, instead it displays no video (and the monitor goes to sleep as if it wasn't connected but still powered on), while the second seat starts and runs normally. It looks like this is the issue ^, I have googled it with nothing interesting to show. I don't know what it is , but I have a feeling it might be a bug in the nvidia drivers since I have updated them since I last ran my multiseat. Also I think it is interesting how the errors seem to be happening on GPU-1, even though GPU-0 is the one that goes blank. Please I appreciate any help.

I have the same exact problem with Kubuntu 11.10 and 3 NVidia cards. My multiseat starts correctly on all 3 displays, but after I logout from seat 2 or 3 I get there

We have two users that have been using Creative Cloud for almost a year. Recently, sometime in the last 4ish weeks, the users can no longer run Creative Cloud apps. (Yes, our subscription is paid.) Error simply says administrator access is required

We have two users that have been using Creative Cloud for almost a year. Recently, sometime in the last 4ish weeks, the users can no longer run Creative Cloud apps. (Yes, our subscription is paid.) Error simply says administrator access is required to install. The apps have already been installed. The users cannot run them unless they are in the local admin group.Using "Run as admin" does not work. It gives the same error.
I have opened a case with adobe support and was basically told to suck it up and put the users in the admin group. Actually, what was said was that it is "mandated that the users have administrative rights".
There are a couple of things wrong with this. It was working for both users until recently - a recent required creative cloud update. The users have never been local admins yet the apps were working (poorly, but working).
We are in an enterprise environment and users simply do not have administrative rights on the computers.
I have changed permissions on all adobe folders, granting users or authenticated users modify or full control rights, did the same in whatever Adobe registry HKLM keys I could find. Nothing has allowed the users to run the apps - unless they are put in the local admin group.
Someone has to have a fix for this. Adobe apps have proved to have far too many vunerabilities to even entertain the idea of elevating user rights. I can't imagine that enterprise environments are allowing this.
Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your response. The users in question are "standard" domain users. We do not reduce users permissions below the standard level.

The thing that makes this odd, is that up until recently they did this issue with cloud apps. The only way I can make it work for them now is to put them in the local administrator group on their pc's - which is not going to happen.
This is what they now see. As I said before, this was not a problem up until recently they would see all their available apps. If I put them in the local admin group the apps are listed without having to install. Everything is there, just not accessible to the user.

How can I contact Viber support? When I go to their website there's no such thing as 'email us' or 'contact us'.
They may have a do-it-yourself troubleshoot system but that doesnt help my problem at all.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (If this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

Can a long running batch job causing deadlock bring server performance down

I have a customer having a long running batch job (approx 6 hrs), recently we experienced performance issue where the job now taking >12 hrs. The database server is crawling. Looking at the alert.log showing some deadlock,
The batch job are in fact many parallel child batch job that running at the same time, that would have explain the deadlock.
Thus, i just wondering any possibility that due to deadlock, can cause the whole server to be crawling, even connect to the database using toad is also getting slow or doing ls -lrt..

I think your ideas on rolling back, CR construction etc. are good guesses. If you have deadlocks, then you have multiple processes working in the same place in the database at the same time, so there may be other "near-deadlocks" that cause all sorts of interference problems.
Obviously you could have processes queueing for the same resource for some time without getting into a deadlock.
You can have a long running update hit a row which was changed by another user after the update started - which woudl cause the long-running update to rollback and start again (Tom Kyte refers to this as 'write consistency' if you want to search his website for a discussion on the topic).
Once concurrent processes start sliding out of their correct sequences because of a few delays, it's possible for reports that used to run when nothing else was going on suddenly finding themselves running while updates are going on - and doing lots more reads (physical I/O) of the undo tablespace to take blocks a long way back into the past.
And so on...
Anyway, according to the customer, the problem seems to be related to the lgpr_size as the problem disappeared after they revert it back to its orignial default value,0. I couldn't figure out what the lgpr_size is - can you explain.

I have a mid-2011 iMac i7 quad processor 27" iMac and after Yosemite can no longer use Photoshop Elements 12, Premier Elements 12 of Photoshop CC on my iMac. I keep getting the following msg even though I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.

PSE 12 requires you to have an Internet Connection at least once when you are installing it so that you can register the product and activate it. After this process is complete, you don't need Internet connection unless you want to update it on a periodic basis (say once every 6 weeks). This is only for the updates; So if you are not bothered with updates then you don't need Internet Connection.

Loss 3D graphics and can't connect to external display with NVIDIA card

I note this morning that the graphics in 3D mode of iWork (version 4.1 with system 10.6.8) no longer appears in all software suite. The 2D graphics are displayed perfectly. I also notice I can't connect an external display when I am on NVIDIA card but work well with Intel card.
The 3D graphics are printed but not displayed on the screen (it also appear inthe thumbnail). It seems to be a worry to display.

Can no longer run processor at 133 fsb

Did I just break my processor or mother board while changing cpu cooling fans? About a year ago, I received my computer with a K7T266PRO2 mother board and an Athlon 1900+ XP processor. It was running at 100 fsb and the processor put out 1200 megahertz. I wanted the full 1.6 gigahertz out of my processor so I changed the clock speed setting in the CMOS from 100 to 133 and enjoyed the next year at that clock speed. My fan on my cpu fail so I bought a new one from CompUSA for my processor type, and installed it. Did I push and shove too large installing the fan? What gives. The CMOS screamed at me when I booted up that I had incorrect values in the CMOS. I hit f2 and found myself running at 100 fsb as that is what the default CMOS settings provide. I changed the clock speed to 133 like before but when I rebooted the computer froze. I could do nothing with my computer until I cleared the CMOS and reestablished the default 100 fsb setting. I used this setting for the next three weeks. I called AMD, the processor manufacturer and they had me check the processor dye for cracks and dents. As soon as they had me raise the vcore voltage in the CMOS from 1.725 to 1.75 and set the clock speed at 133, the computer rebooted at the full clock speed of the chip! Yahoo. But I went into Windows XP and soon XP crashed and exited me out to a screen which said that the computer was shut down to prevent my computer from being hurt. Please remove any hardware you just installed. So I went into the CMOS and reset back to 100 fsb. I called AMD again and told them that I had just discovered that I have been running for the past three weeks with the processor fan on backwards which is what I suddenly discovered while taking the processor apart. There is a shoulder on the socket which has to mate up with an indentation in the fan heatsink in order for the heat sink to be flush with the chip. I installed the fan correctly, but to no avail. Now when I went into windows at 1200 megahertz, the computer froze up after it sits idle for 30 minutes. I inserted my Windows XP install CD Rom and went to setup repair to fix windows incase there was a corruption. As a began the setup the computer froze. So what have I done? My computer worked optimally until moments after I replaced the cpu cooling fan. AMD is sending me another cpu. Do you guys think that is the problem? What could have happened in the five minutes it took to switch fans (although without knowing it, I put it in 180 degrees backward.)

It has happened to me to, so I can with some ackredability suggest you move the CMOS/NVRAM(?) jumper. Power has to be off, while doing this, and I'd suggest you detatch all cables.

I cannot run the 13.0r0 flashplayer with the 28.0 firefox. I have tried EVERYTHING! I also can no longer run an archived player just tell me to update.

running firefox 28, trying to run flashplayer 13.0r0, have windows vista. At this point I can't even pull up the logo to disable the acceleration - that is the only thing I have not been able to try. All I ever get is that the flashplayer has stopped and windows is searching for a solution..... I also did the firefox reset which did not work. Is this fixable or do I need to purchase a new modem????

You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
*disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Got new iMac, can no longer run Aperture on MacBook

I recently upgraded to Aperture 2. It was running fine on my Mac Book Pro. Then I got an iMac. I've been running Aperture on that, no problem. Now when I go to launch Aperture on my MacBook, it tells me to enter the serial #. I enter my upgrade #, and it asks for the original. I cannot find my original Aperture 1 package or serial #. What can I do?? Is there any way to get my original serial # and run Aperture on both of my machines?
