Can no longer see ALL photos in Photos icon in library

for some reason only a select Keyword group is being displayed, but I cannot seem to find a way to show all the photos again. The Filters are set to display all?

I can no longer see all the App Store apps within any category, only a selected few such as the "Best of.."

Until recently if I went into the iTunes App Store to look for new Music apps (for example) I could click on See All and bingo, several thousand music apps, arranged chronologically, were visible. Now all I can see in the Music category are a few selected "Best New Apps" , and so forth.
Is there a new preference where I can change what is visible so I can once again see all Apps? Or has the iTunes App Store suddenly changed it's appearance to limit what one can see?

iCloud restores settings but not programs. You have to sync your phone with iTunes in order to install all the apps. Also, the iPhone 5 uses a different resolution, so it could be that VLC can't be opened on the device

Can no longer see iPhone photos in iPhoto

After upgrading my iPhone to 3.1.2 iPhoto no longer autolaunches when the iPhone is connected to my Mac Book Pro (10.6). When I launch iPhoto ('08, 7.1.5) myself the phone's camera shows up on the left-hand side but when I select it I see no photos to import. If I uncheck the "Hide photos already imported" checkbox I see dashed lines indicating that there are photos that have already been imported, but the photos do not appear within the dashed border.
I have try restarting the phone as well as resetting the phone by holding down the power and home keys.
Any ideas?

My MacBookPro is totally up to date: runs OS X Snow Leopard and the update 10.6.2. The iPhoto is version 8.1.1, iTunes version is 9.0.2. and iPhone has software version 3.1.2.
Up to a few days ago all worked perfectly but since yesterday iPhoto doesn't see my iPhone.
I've reinstalled Snow Leopard and checked for software updates for all ... no solution!
I've seen NUMEROUS guys with the exact same problem but I saw NO answer to solve the problem (except for deleting photos from emails etc which is bollocks!).
Can Apple not help by fixing the glitch in their software, which it obviously is.

I can no longer see all of my videos through Home Sharing on my iPad

I have many Seasons of different TV Programs on my desktop computer. I used to stream that to my iPad or Apple TV through Home Sharing. Now I can only see three out of twenty or more TV Programs. I can see all my movies, but not the TV shows. Does anyone know how to rectify this. I thought rebooting my desktop may help, but did not make any difference. The version of iTunes is 10.5.3.3

Can no one help me with this issue? I can see all videos in iTunes, but not through Home Sharing.

I have an iPhone 4S. I have about 30 movies in my iTunes library, but I can only see 15 when I click my device. Thi doesn't allow me to add that others on to my phone. How can I fix theis?

Hello Chris,
It sounds like you only have the option to sync 15 of your movies in iTunes to your iPhone. It may be that the remaining 15 movies are on iTunes in the Cloud and not actually on your computer. You can play them directly from iCloud in iTunes, but to sync them to your iPhone 4S, you will need to download them to your computer by clicking the little cloud icon.
As long as you are signed in with the Apple ID associated with those digital downloads, you won't be charged for it. You can find the steps to download these purchases to your computer at the following link:

I have been working on a book and have 418 photos already in my book. All of a sudden I cannot access the book format to see the multiple view, spread view, or single view. I can no longer see my book although I still see the collection with 418 photos

All of a sudden I cannot access the book module and clicking on the multiple view, spread view, or single view does not take me back to the book I have been working on. I can no longer see my book although I still see the collection with 418 photos under collections. What I do see is a blank template for a new book and I can't find the unfinished book I started with 418 photos. It is like the new empty template is somehow covering it up. How do I get back to the book I have been working on?

Is it possible you mistakenly clicked on a [Clear Layout] button?
But a great hint is- Always click on the [Create a Saved Book] button, early in your new book design.
Then you have a permanent link to the book in the Collections panel. (In addition to the standard collection of your selected images)
Note: a Book Collection shows an icon that looks like a book.
Every time you come back to edit the book, open the Book Module by clicking on the white arrow that appears on the end of your Book Collection title. (The title as saved)
Re-opening a book without using the "Saved Book" option can have unpredictable results.
A "Book" Collection is like a "Smart Collection" because anything you do to the book design, change pages, change images, etc, is automatically updated in the Saved Book collection.

What is your iPhoto version? And what happened to delete your photos?
Do you mean, you see the images in your iPhoto library, when you are browsing them, but you cannot edit them?
Then probably the original master image files are no longer there, but the previews are. If you are using iPhoto '11 you can see the Previews inside the iPhoto Library in the folder "Previews", when you ctrl-click the iPhoto Library and select "Show Package Contents".

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
*Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
*Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
*Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
*Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
*Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
*If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
What version of iPhoto do you have? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Why can't i see all my photos after recovery?
They are all there (same number as before) but many of them are just grey thumbnails marked with JPG and PNG text. When you open them they look exactly the same as the thumbnails. When i try to send or edit one of them the phone takes me back to my homescreen..

When you enable Photo Stream on your devices, only new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your Photo Stream. Existing photos won't.

The sync photos is checked but only the sync all option is available and the sync fails at the photo step with an unknown error.
All apps and OS's are current and otherwise functioning properly. Any thoughts?

I'm seeing the same problem. The sync from iTunes stops when starting to sync photos and the "Unknown Error 1140" message appears. I tried several times, then decided to uncheck the Photos Sync in iTunes. The sync then proceeded without problems (without the photos of course).
My feeling is that I don't really need to sync the photos as I'm using Photo Stream and save all photos (taken with the iPhone) to the Camera Roll. The Camera Roll photos are then saved to iPhoto on my MacBook Pro via Photo Stream. I tend not to have other albums on my iPhone (other than a few test albums) - just use the Camera Roll basically.
I'm using an iPhone 4S with iOS 6 and the latest iPhoto 9.4 - also the latest Mountain Lion 10.8.2.
