Can no longer shutdown or reboot as user using systemd

If I try and run
systemctl poweroff
I get the following error:
Failed to execute operation: Connection timed out
Failed to start poweroff.target: Access denied
systemctl reboot
gives almost the same error:
Failed to execute operation: Access denied
Failed to start reboot.target: Access denied
Any ideas on how I can fix this?

What has changed since everything worked fine? Have you recently updated your system? Have you dealt with the .pacnew files if there were any?

How do i LEGALLY unlock this iPhone for use in the US?

Only the wireless provider to which an iPhone is locked can unlock it.
You may have to get a PayAsYouGo sim from that provider to activate
your account with them so you can get the iPhone unlocked.
There is not other legal way to unlock the iPhone for use with other than
the wireless carrier to which it is locked. Contact them to see what options
they offer for re-activating the iPhone on their network.

I use my time capsule for wifi station and back up. However suddely time machien can no longer find the time captule drive , used for back up...

I have have manged to see the files via finder.
dleted the files, and also gave time captule a new name, and pasword.
All seemd fine but somehow the new back up could not be finished.
Repeated all the steps, but now had the computer hooked up to the time captule with a network kabel ( make it go quicker..)
Still no succes...
Seems somhowe acces to the time captule is difficult for the time machien software...

How can we see previleges assigned to all users using database query

I am using the follwoing query to see previleges assigned to all users , but the suprising thing is that it shows GP_APP_ID as null for a large number of user , even though in discoverer administrator I can see the previleges assigned to those users. I do not understand why it does that. Can someone please help so that I can see the previleges of all users

This is probably because the business area security is stored in the same table. So you will probably find that where GP_APP_ID is null then GBA_BA_ID holds the value of the business area. You should change your query to just select where GP_APP_ID IS NOT NULL.

How can I o create, modify or delete users using OIM 11g web services?

I have a requirement to create, modify or delete users using OIM 11g web services.
The end users will be signing on to the online application, a user interface to request ids online. The user interface is the home grown application to request ids.
I want to integrate this user interface with OIM 11g. I generated the java classes using the out of the box wsdl file as mentioned in the Developer’s Guide for Oracle Identity Manager 11g. But I need to know how to create users using web server client from a given wsdl file? Is there a sample web service client program to create a user in OIM?
If you know of any document which I can follow or if you can give any details I really appreciate.

Output will be true or false. But I am getting error while searching user in OIM DB. I think my web service is not to query OIM DB

Can no longer connect to PC AIM user - error -8

I really didn't want to post this, since there are so many others with seemingly the same problem. But in my case I used to be able to video chat perfectly fine with several people who are using AIM on a PC. Within the last few months I haven't been able to connect with any of them. I had assumed that the problems had occured on their end, but now I'm not so sure. I've been doing some intermittent troubleshooting, but today's events hopefully can shed some light on the problem.
My dad is running AIM on his PC. We've been able to video chat for over a year until this recent spate of problems. Today I asked him to try to connect to the Apple test servers. He can successfully connect. So can I. But whenever he invites me to chat I get the usual 'communication error' dialog. I've posted the log below. On my end the only thing I can think of that has changed over the recent months is my update from OS x.4.8 to x.4.9. I'm connected via a cable modem to a Netgear router (WGT624 v3). In the Port Forwarding section of the router's configuration screen it has a default entry for AIM (as well as some others). I've got this enabled for this computer. It is using 5190 for both the start and end ports. I've also got the UPnP turned on. This is how the router has been set up forever. So it has worked with this configuration. I do not have the Mac's firewall turned on, nor do I believe it has ever been on. My QT is set for 1.5mbps.
My father and I are both using Optimum Online for our ISP. He is also able to connnect to my sister in Boston via her PC and AIM. That's all of the connection details I can think of offhand. I'm posting the most recent log here in the hopes that someone sees something obvious. Thanks in advance.

Yes, many thanks to Ralph.
I did have a successful chat connection with my Dad a few minutes ago. He is on AIM 5.9. I'll probably have him update to 6.1 as we now know that version is compatible with iChat.
I did one further test. Part of my troubleshooting earlier involved having a successful chat with my dad while using my Powerbook G4. That computer connects wirelessly through the same router. Since that connection was successful while the SPI was still enabled, I was wondering if it was the other change that Ralph suggested (deleting the Port Forward for this computer). So I re-enabled the SPI and asked my dad to connect to me. It failed the first time, but then worked 2 more times after that. It's dinner time now, so I'm going to stop pestering my dad for a while. But I do want to make absolutely sure that it still works. Worse case is we disable the SPI again.

My Wife and I share an apple ID, I recently changed to an android device but can no longer recieve messages from iphone users.

I've unregistered my device online but left hers on there. I'm afraid if I delete the account she will lose all her apps. I'm at a loss now, I've talked to apple support and they assured me it would be taken care of and told me to wait 24 hours. It has been 48 and nothing has changed.

If you go into messages then press SEND AND RECEIVE you can delete the accounts there that you don't want to receive stuff from and still share Apple ID.
You might need to do this on all devices wife and I had the same problem and this worked fine

Since upgrading to LR 5.6 I can no longer change paper sizes for user print templates.

The print preview window shows the new size laid out properly but the printer feeds only the size which was used to create the preset resulting in clipping if a larger paper and cell size is invoked in page setup or xs white space if a smaller is invoked. OS X 10.8.5, Stylus pro 7890. REINSTALLED PRINTERS AND DRIVERS, DELETED AND REPLACED LR PREFERENCE FILE, Other aps print ok. I

While the problem is unsolved I have found a workaround. If I use the "Printer" button (lower far right) and print from the printer dialed pop up custom paper sizes chosen in the "page setup" are honored and the layout prints as shown in the LR print preview). On the other hand, If I print using the "Print" button the printer feeds only the paper size chosen when creating the preset.

Can no longer delete scheduled or recorded programs using PC browser FIOS TV app

I've been using the PC browser application to control recordings and scheduling on my FIOS DVR for over a year now. As of this weekend, the DELETE and CANCEL functions on the Recorded and Scheduled Programs pages no longer function at all (if I click on the red button, all I get is a Javascript call at the bottom of the page). The ability to enter a new program into the Schedule list works just fine however. The only way that I can remove programs now is to manually delete from the DVR itself (which is godawful cumbersome compared to the online program).
I have rebooted the DVR and tried the online application on multiple different browsers (IE6, Firefox, and Chrome), multiple computers, and multiple operating systems (W2K, WinXP, WinXP64). In all cases, nothing can be deleted from within the browser app, but everything else in the application appears to work correctly, including the TV program list and the ability to search by program name. And the DVR plays back from recordings, both directly and to STB's in my home.
Is this a clue? Sunday morning when I tried to call-up the app, I received the usual every other week bulltwaddle- "logged-out" (asinine 2-week time restriction!). When I entered my password to log-in, I then received some bogus warning that I was not configured as a user in LDAP (have never seen this weird message before), and it kept blocking me from getting to another login prompt. However, by clicking on an existing bookmark that bypasses all the Verizon On Demand advertising to go directly to the DVR controls, the browser went right to the proper page- Recordings. Obviously, my login worked, contrary to the LDAP message. But that is when the Delete and Cancel no-worky issue started.
Anyone have any idea what is going on? I checked my DVR and it's still on Version 1.8 (northern Delaware region).
BTW, tried the Assistant Program (useless for this issue), so I emailed Verizon's customer service and over 24 hours later, still no response.

Resolved without any changes at my end.
The functionality of the PC browser application has now been restored, a full 3 days after it was crippled. My primary browser (Firefox 5) still is running the same version and plugins as before the outage. What are the odds that some code monkey working for Verizon changed something he/she shouldn't have and then had to fix the FUBAR?
I had no power outages, and all other application functionality via browser was unaffected, other than the ability to Delete or Cancel programs.

Consider the following:
if you use your local CA server to issue digital signature certificates, there is no cost, because you are eligible to issue so many certificates as you need. However, documents signed by these certificates will be considered trusted only within your AD
forest and other machines that explicitly trust your local CA. Any external client will not trust your signatures.
If you want to make your signature trusted outside your network (say, in worldwide), you need to pruchase a certificate from trusted commercial CA (VeriSign, GoDaddy, GlobalSign, StartCom, etc) according to respective vendor price list. In that case you
don't need to have your local CA server, because it is not used. All certificate management is performed by the external CA. A most common scenario is to purchase signing certificate for particular departament principals (head managers) or few certificates
for a whole company (all documents are revised by a responsible person or persons who holds signing certificate and sign them after review).

I can no longer wireless print from my mac using my Lexmark X4550 printer

I have read all the previous forums from like a year ago about the troubles that Leopard brought to Lexmark printers, some helped a lot, although I would really like to use my wireless capabilities. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling like 15 times and I decided to post a thread here to hopefully get this resolved. I get as far as installing the printer driver but then when I go to install the printer into my print&fax under system preferences it does not allow me to add the printer... It just does not show up under my printer options. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED, Thank you.
P.S.
I can print using USB cable but would really like to print wireless. I was able to print wireless before I installed Leopard and have tried talking to Lexmark but no help.

Can no longer see family purchase in iTunes using family sharing

On all my devices the option to select another family member to view and access their purchases is gone. All I can see now is purchases under my AppleID.
I checked in iCloud and other family members are still setup to share their purchases so not sure what happened. The only thing I did recently was add an AppleTV - not sure if this could be related or if someone has seen this issue before.

TS3195 since installing ios7 on my ipad I can no longer import photos to my Mac using Image Capture or even Preview. The device appears in the device list, but no photos appear. Anyone have a solution for this? Is it another glitch in ios7?

Hi - I just dowloaded io7 to to my mini ipad and now cannot upload the photos on it to my Mac - which I was able to do with the old system, and still can do with my old first generation Ipad. Very annoying. The device appears in the list in Image Capture and Preview, but no photos appear. Is there a way around this? It is the quickest and best way of transferring photos from a mobile device to the computer - but has iOS 7 messed this up???

Hi I have figured it out on my own just today coz what apple suggested didn't help much so I just have to do it by myself.
This is what you need to do:
open your computer and search for autoplay, it will open rightaway and then scroll down look for your device then change "ask everything" to "import photos and videos in windows" connect your ipad again then tthe import box will open.. and your good!

On my new computer, I can no longer open attachmnets in Hotmail when using Firefox. The attachments will open with other browsers. It is quite frustrating. Any help out there would be surely appreciated. Cheers

Hotmail won't open attachments when using Firefox. I'm not sure if this relates to cookies, add ons (I recently addded Ad-blocker and Do not track), or some other type of security setting. I have tried some proposed solutions on the we to no avail. Using Windows 7

Thanks for your suggestion. My problem occurs when trying to open any type of file (at least .doc and .pdf, as far as I know). As I mentioned, when I log into hotmail from another browser, I am then able to open my attachments. I am hoping to figure out how to tinker with firefox so I no longer have this issue. I am not sure what is causing this block, but I know it has to do with Firefox (or settings relating to) or related add ons.

After installing iOS7 to my iphone 4, I can no longer skip to the next song using BTA in my Honda Civic.

Says it all. I upgraded to IOS7 and now my iphone, which has always been able to skip to the next song using wireless bluetooth. I can't use it on my steering wheel or the controls above the heating/cooling/CD drive. Nothing. I have to unlock my iphone and manually change the song in the music app, no other way. I drive a 2013 Honda Civic... is there any solution to this? Everything was fine until today... I can still call people through my car, it's JUST the music part that is affected. Only the change/skip song functions. It's really bizarre.. any solutions?

I think the developer havent made it compatible with ios7 for iPhone. Goto App store and search for that App. you will have an option to contact developer or report an issue. Good Luck
