Can no longer turn wifi on 4S
My Iphone 4S will no longer allow me to connect to turn my Wifi on..... Any advice?
hard reset - hold down the power button and the home button at the same time until u see an apple
reset network settings - setings>general>reset>reset network settings
back up and restore - plug it into ur computer with an updated itunes running. hit "back up now" and then "restore iphone". once the phone is restored to factory settings set it up as new and test the wifi. if its working hit the "restore back up" button on ur computer to bring ur content back onto the device.
get device replaced - if the restore iphone>set up as new didnt fix the wifi then u have one of the defective wifi chips and should get ur device replaced.
follow the steps in order until one of them works.

I can no longer turn on or off 32 bit to 64 from the info window. I have done a total reinstall with system 10.6 and Logic with no results. I was running Lion but it would allow me to run my Tascam FW-1884. I need to switch back to 32bit on Logic to enable new plugins on my UAD-2 Card. My Question is was the 32bit to 64 bit switch available in version 10.6 or was it introduced in 10.68?
Turn on the option see by others. And it should be work fine.

Recently updated the the apple tv remote app for my iPhone4. Now can no longer turn on the apple tv "box" on/off using iPhone app as I used to do before the update. Only thing that shows on iPhone screen is music library. Home Sharing is on. Any help appreciated. Sorry if this is not exactly the right place to post this!
One clue: I have found a reliable way to solve the problem when it happens.
In my network, I have the main Airport Extreme (Gen 1) which is connected to my router, which distributes IP addresses to my internal subnet. The other two AEs (one Gen 4, one Gen 5) are set to extend the network.
When I get this problem with an AppleTV 2 that can "see" my library, but when I try to open it, it says it couldn't find the library, it seems to have to do with a change in which Airport Extreme it's talking to.
If I restart the main Airport Extreme from the Airport Utility, effectively restarting the entire wireless network, then when the network resumes, every AppleTV 2 is happy again.
Unfortuntely, the problem does seem to recur - but I'm wondering if it's because temporary interference leads an AppleTV 2 to try to connect to a different AE, and somehow that's mucking with the Home Sharing. Remember, internet access (Trailers, Store, Netflix) have no issues. Purely Home Sharing.

My older MacBook running 10.7.4 can no longer connect to my Wi-Fi using Time Capsule. Two other Macs, an iPad and two iPhones have no problem. Latest Firmware installed. I've tried connecting from menu bar. Select Turn Wi-Fi On. Nothing happens. I've tried using System Prefs/Network. Hit Turn Wi-Fi On. It flashes blue but doesn't try to turn on. If I try to hit Advanced my Net shows up on the list. Hitting OK does nothing. When I try Assist Me and select Turn Wi-Fi on and hit continue it says Scanning with a spinner that continues for as long as I let it. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this. I would be most appreciative. Thanks.

What phone, when did it last work, does it connect to any wifi, are other devices connected to this wifi, did you reboot phone and router, any recent damage to phone?????? -

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Just did 4 updates to my ipad3 running IOS 6.0.1 and wifi now has problems, just checked my iphone5 running 6.0.2 and same problem exists.
It's because your phone will pick up LTE and then it'll lose it. What you need to do is turn off the LTE (until the service is better, more available) and you won't go in and out of service.
Go to Settings > General > Cellular > Enable LTE - OFF -

A bit over a week ago, my laptop (MacBook Pro running latest update to Lion) stopped being able to connect: sometimes the alert says there's no IP address; other times it shows an IP address but says I cannot connect (wul, duh!).
Took my laptop to the Genius Bar; same issue. The Genius created a New Location, problem solved! That is, until I returned home—same errors, no connection. So I created a new New Location, but no good.
When I run diagnostics, it throws me in a loop—asks me to select the access type, and then enter the account info; then asks me again to select the access type, then enter the account info, etc…

Yes, it's just my laptop—everybody else is accessing the system fine, incl. myself, via my phone.
The only change I made was updating the system, the last time there was a dot upgrade. Now it's not working.
If I go back to the Genius Bar, I fear they'll fix it again and then I'll go home and it won't work, again…

Thanks.I'm getting the same message after installing an Airport Extreme card in a 2008 MacPro. I've tried everything and I cannot get either of my iOS5 devices (iPhone 4 and iPad) or my wife's iPhone (that we have not upgraded to 5) to connect to my WIFI network. They see the network but I don't even get the password screen. Very frustrating. (OS 10.5.8)

Can no longer secure wifi network
I have a Linksys WRT54G router with the latest software upgrades and WMP54G adaptor with WPA security. Up until now these have been working together, and with 2 laptops and a Palm Tx. Suddenly last night, the network could not be detected although neighbours' networks could. On checking the router settings via a network cable, everything was set as normal, no changes had been made. When the SSID was enabled the network could be seen but the adaptors alternated between "acquiring..." and "connected" without a continuous connection.
I reinstalled the WMP54G and drivers, but no luck. Tried changing channels and all the tricks from previous posts, again without success. I then setup the network from scratch again and finally managed to get a connection, firstly with the default settings and then with more specific ones.
This evening it was back to square one. No connection. This time I reset the router to the factory defaults. Using these I could get a connection. Creating a new network identity also worked but as soon as any security was enabled the hunting between acquiring and connecting started once more. All ths was with a laptop no more than 2m from the router.
Has the radio finally died in the router? And if so, and I need a new one, why should I replace it with another Linksys model?

Download the firmware from www.linksys.com/download and save it on the dekstop...Go to linksys setup page by typing 192.168.1.1 in the address bar..The default password would be admin...On the Linksys setup page under Administration tab..Click on firmware upgrade to upgrade the router's firmware. Once you upgrade the router successfully..Press and hold the reset button for 60 seconds..Release the button and take the power cable out from the router.After 30 seconds put the power cable back to router and reconfigure your router. -
After the IOS7 updates, when we are viewing music videos on my phones I can no longer turn the phone horizontal to see a bigger viewing of the video. I can only see it widescreen in vertical mode which is much smaller. Now when you turn it sideways, it pops up album cover art and I hate that. Is there a way to fix that?
We are just users like you and don't know why Apple does what it does. This is not a place to "vent," it is a place to ask technical questions. My mac gets good wifi connection in the same location. I measured the signal strength -- something like -77db signal vs. -90db noise.
But my iPhone WiFi keeps cutting in and out. In fact, I left my phone on last night to update various apps over WiFi. When I checked it this a.m. I had received several warning messages from AT&T that I was nearing my 3G data limit. I looked at my phone and it had consumed nearly 100mb of cellular data overnight, when it should have been connected over WiFi.
Needless to say, it's taken some of the thrill away from my new iPhone... -
After installing v1.0.5.2304, can no longer connect device to pc
neither the device manager nor the desktop manager seem to recognize the playbook anymore.
z: does not show up in windows explorer - I'm not getting prompted for playbook pw on the pc
the desktop manager is showing me an option to reset the device and is prompting me to reload the Tablet OS.
this is not sounding promising. i'm afraid it might have already wiped my playbook as - while it is still connected to the pc - I can no longer turn the playbook back on.
Any ideas folks?

So I backed out from that prompt to install tablet os, and then all of a sudden the playbook got connected. I was prompted for the pw on the pc, the z: drive showed up, and desktop mgr also was able to connect to the playbook.
