Can not access song names online when importing cd's

since downloading itunes 7, when I try to import a cd an error message comes up saying 'The song names for this CD could not be found online'
I am connected to the internet and friends have been able to import the same cds with track names sucessfully. Has anyone else had this problem. thanks

i am having this same problem. i was able to get track info for all my cds but quite a few only came through for tracks 5-10 or some of the songs. quite strange and frustrating at that.
anyone have any help to offer?

If you are wondering how to change the title of the song I can help you.
1. Right click on any song that you would like to name or rename
2. Click on the option "Get Info"
3. Once you've clicked, 5 options will appear on the top of the window, choose "Info"
4.Looking into the window now you will be able to change the name of the song and the artist.

Itunes 12.0.1 cannot find track names online when importing CD. Help??

When I insert a new CD that I had bought iTunes cannot find the track names online. Once the CD is inserted and showing up in iTunes as track 1, track 2, etc. I click on option and select get track names again and then a message reading no error pops up. I recently just updated my computer to yosemite, and I did all of the iTunes updates, my current iTunes version is 12.1.0. I would really appreciate if someone could find a solution! It's driving me nuts!!

If you log in as a different user, iTunes will work fine, even when using the same AppleID. It's a user preference that was messed up during the upgrade to iTunes 12. I've been working with Apple on this by phone for a few days now, and their engineers will have their 'results' of my case by the end of the week. That thread has some temporary fixes in it (such as deleting a few preference files or creating a new user account) to hold you over until a true fix is offered.

I can not access existing library folder when editing a previously saved book, please help

I am a 3rd year University student, brand new to lightroom and am creating (trying to) create 3 books for my final university assignment.
I have created and saved "RABBET FINAL", and then carried on with the next 2 books, I now would like to go back and add more images to "RABBET FINAL", but when i select the the library folder I used previously called "All that i have", it automatically opens a new unsaved book. I then try to click on my saved book "RABBET FINAL", and it changes a library folder to a folder which only the images which are already in "RABBET FINAL"
When I hover the cursor over the library folder at the bottom, it says "ALL that i have + unsaved book. Is this the issue?
The BOOK also has a "+" next to it, is this causing it not to allow me to select from a different library?

A saved book behaves like an ordinary collection.
In the book module click on RABBET FINAL in the left hand panel. It will have a double page book icon if it’s a saved book. Now right click on that saved book and choose Set As target Collection. A plus sign will indicate it is the target.
Now return to the Library and the folder with the images you wish to add. Use shift-click to select (highlight) the images you want or Ctrl+Click for individual non-consecutive images. With all of them selected press the B key and you should see confirmation that they have been added to RABBET FINAL.
Return to the book module and click on RABBET FINAL and you should see your extra images in the film strip. Click on add page and drag each image from the film strip up on to the new page. Be careful to click in the center of each filmstrip image and not one of the thumbnail icons.

The schema i used for parsing is granted with the necessary privileges, and i can run the procedure manually using the same schema in sqlplus. Following is the script I am trying to run:

I've done a search on here and haven't found any solutions posted for it for windows computers. You could try posting in the iTunes For Windows forum and see if you get any suggestions in there (are you able to download other items from the store e.g. a free app ?) - I use a Mac, the only things that I could think of to suggest trying is see if you get the same error on a different iTunes library :
creating and/or opening a different iTunes library : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1589
or using a different user account on your computer in case it's a problem with that user account.
But you may want to try the iTunes For Windows forum first, apart from anything else you are likely to get better help for the above

Use the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps.

By the way, Mattban and Sancasslano, are either of you also experiencing any of the following issues:
* Problems with Contacts either crashing or listing no names
* Problems with turning iCloud on or off for application under Settings->iCloud... On both mine I just get a pop up saying that iCloud is being turned off but Contacts then just locks up.
* General problems when trying to synch applications on the iPad or iPhone over iCloud?
I am wondering if all these issues are in someway related to and whether it is worth trying to turn off iCloud somehow, though I cannot work out how this can be done once set up.

There is no solution. You have to provide the ID and password. There is no way around it. If the person you bought it from can't provide it, return it and get your money back.

Right click the filename that won't download and selsct 'Get Info'. Look at the file path, does it have a //?// in it? That is a problem with Amazon downloads that prevent iTunes from finding the file. Use 'Add Folder' to add the album to your library and try syncing it again
