message recieved "itunes could not connect to the music store make sure your network connection is active and try again"
any thoughts about what to do?

I seem to be having the same problem as well and it's giving me a hard time updating my podcasts and downloading new ones , maybe it's a server problem?

It goes this way: I am purchasing album, download begin into iTunes, and immediately to iPhone, there all succeed.. It appears under "purchased" in iPad too, download begins for all songs - and all dowloads on iPad result in error.

Can not open Itunes store

I can not open the store to purchase music. I have the updated I tunes and it still will not work. The firewall is disabled. I can not even get it to open my account. The loading bar starts out good and then just stops halfway. It does this for music search too.
This is crazy. I have cash in the account to buy music and can't even get to it. I ran the diagnostics and it came up clean.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

iTunes 10.6.1 can not transfer music covers on my iPhone 4 (OS 5.1). Covers are in iTunes but after synchronisation thei are not om my phone. Is there any solution?

IF you get app update notifications, are you able to use the App Store from the Updates Tab? Try closing the App Store and reset your iPad. You will not lose any data.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I am not ipod owner but im really wondering you cannot do this. As far as i know you should have USB cable that allw you to connect iod ti your notebook using this USB port on your notebook.
iPod should be recognized and listed in windows explorer so you should have access to all saved data there.
If this works open all mp3 files saved on iPod using Windows Media player or some other player like Winampo and enjoy your music.

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Lion/Mountain Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.

In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.

i can not contact itunes store with my iphone to update application

Im having a problem when in App Store and trying to download a game i keep getting error message saying "Can Not Connect to iTunes Store" since last night. Spent hours on the phone this afternoon with Tech Support since only 3 days old my iPad3, only to have him have me doing a restore after backing everything up...once off the phone i noticed the Restore wouldnt even work on my PC, saying an unknown error has occured. I am dreading having to call back and spend the next few hours on the phone with them on a brand new product. If still having problems going back to Apple Store in the local mall where hubby bought it for my bday present 5 days ago and will be demanding a brand new one... why should i have to restore a brand new product that was barely used during the past 3 days to factory settings..to me it is a product defect and want a new one since its brand new!! just thought id let you know what Apple Tech Support was having me do with basically same message.
