Can not connect to home wi-fi.

Typed in password and nothing happens.  It will not even tell me if the password is incorrect.  Does anyone had a similar problem or suggestion.  This is a brand new phone.  it is upgrade to 4.4

    weezy58, we don't want this to be an ongoing issue for you. Are you able to connect to any other W-Fi device? Do you have issues connecting to that Wi-Fi device with devices other than your Droid phone?
Let's try to connect to that Wi-Fi again. Tap Settings>tap Wi-Fi>Select your Wi-Fi name>Tap Show Password>Enter the password. Keep us posted.

    If the padlock is locked it means you need the password for the network. Touch the network and you will be prompted for the password.

    Additional things to try.
    Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

    Click the blue button next to the wifi name, then hit Forget Network.
    Then try to connect again and use correct password.

    If it's in an office that you are having trouble connecting I would highly recommend consulting with your IT department in the office to ensure that they are not blocking the connection with the corporate firewall.

    Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using.  FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in.  This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly.  By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you.  Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

    Does the iPad connect to other networks?
    Does the iPad see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
    Did the iPad connect before?
    Try the following to rule out a software problem:                 
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

    Is this a password protected network? Go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings. After that, try to connect again. This reset will remove all password and wifi information from the device and should give you a clean start to connect to the home network.

    Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.
