Can not connect to iTune Store from 1 user only.

I have 2 user accounts on this computer. one is an admin account it connects fine. The other account will not connect. It says accessing iTune Store but nothing happens. One time it came up with "can not connect error (-50)"
Can anyone help me!

Well I got the iTunes store working. Not sure if this will work for you or not.
I logged in with my administrator account, went into System Preferences, selected Accounts, made the user that could not access the iTunes Store an administrator. I then logged in as that user, launched iTunes, and was able to connect to the iTunes Store (though it did seem to take an excessive amount of time the first time it connected). I shutdown iTunes, logged out of that user, went back into preferences, turned off Administrator rights for that user, and turned on any parental controls that were necessary.
I then logged in as the user again and iTunes was able to connect to the iTunes Store.
I was then able to sync his iPod Touch and download the 2.0 update without any problems.

    I can not connect to iTunes store from my mobile divices.  I can through iTunes on my Macbook Pro running Leopard (10.6.8).  My company has not authorized update to Lion yet. 
    I have the same problem on my iPhone and iPad 1.  This has occured since updating to IOS 5.0.1, but I do not know if it is the cause or just a coincidence. 
    Since I can make purchases through my Macbook and sync, it's not a crisis, but just an big irritation. 

    Apple ID problems. 
    An additional consideration might be that I have had Apple ID problems.  With the move to an ID for iCloud my old Apple ID and a new one using an email address got mixed up and in conflict.  It took Apple Support staff to clean it up.  For a few days, everything seemed to be running fine on my new/old/restored single ID.  I did not think this was a problem, because the error sited a connection problem not an ID or password problem.  Could this be a factor?

    Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    Power cycle the router.
    Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

    Just started using my iPad 3 that I just recieved for my birthday a few days ago. Last night went to download a new App from the App store, which was free. After hitting the "free" button and continuing on and hitting the "download App" button I received an error message saying "Can Not connect to iTunes Store" and the word "OK" under that to make it go away. I continued on with other games to see if it was just an issue with that one but no matter what i hit it says that same error message. I spent hours on the phone with Apple Support only to have the gentlemen have me save everything on my iPad onto my iTunes on my PC and then start to Restore to Factory setting and then was told if had any issues to call them back. I left the room for about 5 min. only to come back to have an error message saying "The ipad could not be restored, an unknown error occurred (3014). I was just wondering if anyone else is having any issues similiar to mine. Please advise. My next step is to call back up and ask to speak to a Support Specialist the gentlemen said..once it goes to the "restore" point regular tech support can not help he explained.. Just frustrated after spending over 1 1/2 hrs on the phone to have gotten nowhere and now have to call back and start again with something brand new.. I just think i got a lemon!!

    This what Apple's iTunes specific error codes support article says about that particular error.
    Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
    Update to the latest version of iTunes.
    Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
    Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
    Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
    An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
    Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
    Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

    You might try to confirm that your messages are actually sending. I have the same problem, but my messages appear to be sending but are not actually being received.

    Ok, I am having literally identical issues with Marathon Max.
    I try to connect, and it says, "Itunes could not connect to the itunes store, Make sure your network connection is active and try again." I have contacted my ISP, and they ran a full check, and sayed I should be able to connect to pretty much all websites. I did the whole "ipconfig" thing and that was no help. I also tried the "msconfig" thing, and it sayed it did not recognize it as any kind of command, internal or external command or operable program or batch file. Whats strange is I can connect from another computer just fine, but when offered to upgrade itunes I declined for fear of the same thing happpening. I am tempted to just upgrade it and thus demonstrate that itunes has a flaw in their upgrade. I will save this computers diagnostics, and the other one's too, before and after the upgrade.     Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.
