Can not connect to Wifi (2.4 WPA2)

Hi team,
My iphone 5s (IOS 7.0.4) has problem to connect to the WIFI in my office (2.4 WPA2 - corporta use router, setting could not change), before I go to China local apple store, I have tested other apple devices, including iphone5, iphone4s and iphone4, all of them can easily connect to this WIFI. And my iphone5s network setting has been reset for more than three times.
The WIFI issue is not replicated as I dont have any issue to connect to other public/private network. The genius tests my iphone5s and confirms that no issue is found, so he suggests that, I should choose "other" and put WIFI details. However, it does not work at all.
Could anyone help?
Thanks,
Luhouse

Update - resolved our connectivity issue. Turns out it was a MAC address filtering problem on the Airport network.
Some months ago we tried enabling MAC address filtering on our network, i.e. where you add the MAC address of each device on your network into a list on the Airport and set what access it has. I'm pretty sure we then decided it was unnecessary and left in the default option which is that unknown devices are allowed unlimited access once they connect. I know that I logged a visiting consultant into our network last week and they had no problem, even though I hadn't put their MAC address into the list.
Today, 3 devices couldn't connect. After a full day of troubleshooting, turning off MAC address access control immediately solved the problem. Now we haven't made any changes to our network configuration in the last 24 hours, nor any changes to the devices that started having problems. So I think, but I can't prove it obviously, that Apple pushed a silent update that changed that default option from 'unlimited access' to 'no access'.
Luhouse - this might not be your problem at all, probably isn't, but leaving this here in case it helps someone else.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Sure, disable security on the router completely for now.  Now try to connect with no security.  Once done and verified  go back and add  security back on of WPA2-AES with a new password and try again.

  • After updating to 10.8.1 i can not connect to wifi   no hardware installed , it says

When I installed the update to 10.8.1 there comes a message that there was a problem by installing.
Now i can not connect to a wifi network, when i click on the wifi at the bottom
    No hardware is installed
Why is there no hardware installed?
    Under 10.7 all was fine

I have MacBook unibody late 2008 with OS X Mountain Lion on board. Wifi stopped working suddenly and I spent about four terrible hours to solve a problem.
Actually, none of mentioned and googled advices helped me out to solve this issue with 'WiFi: No Hardware installed'.
Except one thing: using the wifi kext from the Snow Leopard. You may use utility and kext from here: http://rys.sommefeldt.com/2011/09/04/osx-lion-wifi.html
    I hope, this can help.

  • Can not connect to wifi to configure

I can not connect to home wifi to configure.

Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
    Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

  • Can not connect to wifi-network

I have a iphone 4 that I managed to lose in the toilet. it is relatively in good condition, but can not connect to wi-fi networks. seems as if it is unable to receive signals. is there anything I can do to fix it?
and I have no dial tone when I call. what can I do?

Apple has an out of warranty replacement program for phone's like yours, cost in the US is $199. That would be your best course of action.

  • Can not connect to WiFi on iMac... just started

I have a preferred network t hat all of a sudden I can not connect to on my iMac. The network diagnostics does not even bring up the list of networks. I have 2 other laptops, an iPod touch and another iMac on the network using wi-fi and they are all fine. If Network Diagnostics does not work...how do I troubleshoot?

I would turn Airport off and then turn it back on. You should see your network and be able to log back in. There's also been a number of OS X updates - you might want to get your system up to date as there have been multiple Airport updates.
The other thing you might want to try is resetting (power-cycling) your router.

  • Can not connect to WiFI with IPAD.  Any tips?

Any tips on how to connect to WiFi.  The IPAD does not find WiFI.  I know that is working as I currently have 3 other devices using currently.

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at
    http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

  • Can not connect to wifi away from home

i have no problem connecting to wifi at home...when i visit other locations my itouch will not connect. i have tried reset the network settings. my itouch shows the ip setting and other information for connection but it will not connect.

It might be that you have not acknowledged the network's agreement to use it. If you're using OS 3.0 or later on your Touch you should be able to open Safari and be re-directed to the network's Terms of Use page, then you should have access once you agree. If you're using 1.x or 2.x OS then sometimes it is harder to "see" this Terms of Use to acknowledge.
If that doesn't help, you can try editing the DNS that the network is giving you. You can try 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 which are the OpenDNS addresses. Sometimes that helps you get access in case the network is feeding your Touch incorrect DNS addresses. OpenDNS is free, safe, and pretty cool to implement on your own home network since it allows you to control content and monitor usage.
