ok, i've read all the posts and nothing helped. I have an audigy gamer and also audigy 2 zs plat. pro both i get the message :
"s on your system please make sure your cards installed correctly before running this program now exiting"
My heads about to explode dealing with this *poop* what is the problem? when i first got the cards they installed perfectly fine.. then i downloaded and installed the beta drivers and didnt like them so removed them and tried installing the origional ones. but now I get that message..WTF...Please help asapMessage Edited by Ih8creative on 2-5-2005 0: AM

Creative is horrible when it comes to support! They still haven't figured out how to solve the no card issue. Luckily, I now know how to solve it, thanks to a fellow card owner.
This is what you need to do to update your drivers for your card:
. Uninstall your current drivers
2. Shut down the PC and pull the card out and try to put it in a different pci slot. If you do not have another slot available just remove it and place it back in to the same slot making sure there is no dust in the slot first. I recommend using compressed air, although it's not necessary.
3. Your card should be recognized by the PC when starting up. Install the drivers that came with the CD.
4. Download the drivers from this site, if you need info on what exactly to download just ask and I'll try to help. You will not be able to install the drivers by clicking on the .exe file you just downloaded because it will give you that same stupid error, so on to step 5.
5. Using a program like winrar (trial version can be downloaded) extract the files from the .exe file.
6. Looking into the files you just extracted you should see a folder that says "Drivers". Click on that folder and then find the file that says "CTZAPXX.exe". After clicking on that it will start to install the updates.
This should work... it did for me. Any other audio update you want to do from now on will have to be done this way.

I recently purchased an "Audigy2 Value" card from an eBay user, because I recently purchased some DVD-Audio discs. I downloaded the Audigy2 drivers from the website, and the Creative MediaSource player. 5. Surround sound worked fine for me, though sometimes the driver would reset to the default 2/2. sound and I would have to re-select 5. sound, which was annoying.
Then I was completely unable to get the MediaSource player to recognise my DVD-Audio discs, and the EAX functionality of the player would never work. The EAX logo never appeared in the player. When I tried installing the MediaSource player from an install disc, I got the message "can not detect sound blaster card". Then I discovered the world of EEPROM problems.
I followed advice from some other threads, including using ScanPCI to get information on the card, which yielded the following result.

(Just a note: above you can clearly see that it does not say I have an Audigy, it thinks it is a SBLi've. Is this normal? The card IS an Audigy 2, it says so on the card.)
So, I put the card back on my own PC, thinking this has fixed my EEPROM, but I get the same as before. Subsystem ID 0002h. And of course the install software will not detect the card.
I realise that I could go back to using the web drivers, but this still leaves me with MediaSource not recognising the card and not enabling DVD-Audio or EAX, which is why I bought the card in the first place!
I have heard that the VIA chipset is possibly to blame for the EEPROM problems on the Audigy cards, and certainly it seems like it is not permanent, since it gave different information on the other PC. So now I am seriously considering getting a new motherboard.
Do other motherboards cause this same problem? I don't want to buy another board and get the same trouble. All I want is to be able to install my MediaSource and have it recognise my card so I can listen to my DVD-Audio discs.

Figured out my problem. Installing the drivers from the web to begin with was a bad idea. They just did not work properly with the card.
The "card not found" problem has gone as well, after installing it in another PC. I am also using the proper install disc now, as the other one I was using turned out to not be for the Audigy 2 value after all, but was an Audigy 2 install disc. That easily explains the "Card not found" error. The differing results from the ScanPCI program are still bizarre, though.
Thanks to all of the people on the forum who posted information in other threads to help me deal with this issue. For now I am sticking with the original drivers from the disc and I am not upgrading.

Can not detect Sound Blaster Audigy 2 on this sys

Im having trouble install drivers (apart from the old CD ones and some out of date ones) all the latest drivers or beta drivers say they cannot detect my card. I have an Sound Blaster Audigy 2 OEM which i bought nearly 2 years ago. I've tried swapping it to a different pci slot but makes no different Constant crashes when playing openal games. Even if i install the lates openal file. But i need to find out why i can't install the newest drivers and why they say i haven't got an audigy 2 when i have. In my device manger even says that its an "Creative SB Audigy 2 (WDM)" My system is as follows...

I am getting the exact same problem. Just downloaded the "Creative Sound Blaster Audigy unified series Beta driver with OpenAL support 2.08.0002" for my soundcard which is an Audigy 2 OEM (Model No. SB0240).
I am using WIndows Media Center Edition 2005, but when I try to install the beta drivers, I get the following error message:
"Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system. Please ensure that your product is properly installed before running this setup program
Setup will exit."
My Device Manager shows Creative SB Audigy 2 (WDM) with driver version as follows:
Driver Provider: Creative
Driver Date: 23/06/2004
Driver Version: 5.2..444
I am currently hearing sound fine (so the soundcard is installed correctly), but the sound keeps cutting out from games that use OpenAL.

Solution who encounter 'Setup does not detect Sound Blaster .....' error msg during installat

For those who encounter 'Setup does not detect sound blaster audio in the system' error upon installing from the installation CD. You can try the steps below that work for me. It seems Windows have lock on to the sound card with an incorrect ID thus the installation CD are not able to correctly identify the card. Be sure to do a backup copy of the registry first incase something goes wrong since we are editing the registry.
. Go to Start-Run and type in 'regedit' to start the registry editor application.
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\P CI.
3. You should see listing with 'VEN....'. Expand them by clicking on the + icon and then see if it's listed as unknown or Creative related stuff. Keep note of them.
4. Right click on those 'VEN......' listing that you have noted earlier and select full permission. Ensure that full control are selected. Now delete all those listed as unknown or Creative related stuff.
5. Exit registry editor and reboot. Try using the installation CD again.

I only have this problem when i try to install <A href="]Li'veDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe[/url] ... That driver pack also says that the drivers from cd are the newest ... :S !

Could not detect Sound Blaster Audio Card on xp sp2 Sys

I have Audigy Platinum and trying to install to a recently re-installed windows xp sp2 system. On my previous install everything was working fine and now I am looking to install the newest drivers and the error comes up [color="#ff3300">"could not detect Sound Blaster Audio Card on system". The strange thing is windows recognizes the card and will install it's drivers, but when I go to install the latest driver update I get the error. In addition, I also tried to run the install from my original disk.
I also?un-installed the devices showing? in the windows device manager, then tried and the same error, I even tried it in safe mode. Any ideas?Thanks and Advance,Mikel

Yes i think the real lesson here is not to buy creative,. i have the same problem with their junky card, so i guess ill just have to take buisness somewhere else. if you all do the same perhaps the threat of them going out of buisness will have them deal with their problems. if not atleast we saved others the headache of learning this lesson.

Can you please check:
1. Is this a retail or OEM card? OEM cards (usually came pre-installed with your computer) may not work with drivers from the download site.
2. The sound card is not being detected by your computer at all. Please go to Device Manager and find out the status of the sound card.

Same old story, I suppose. Formatted a Pentium 4 and reinstalled WinXP Home SP2 and the system is having problems identifying the card (a Li've! Digital 5. SB0220). There are two "Multimedia Audio Controller"s and one "PCI Simple Communications Controller" under "(?) Other Devices" in the Hardware Manager. I don't have any SB CDs or anything like that, since we got the computer years ago. "SBL5DL_DRVPACK_LB.EXE" refuses to recognize that there is any SB card on the dri've. Any ideas?

Never mind. Guess the "newbie" title is warranted. I finally got it working. My only regret is that the first thing the card played was Ricky Martin. Best wishes.

Can't install Sound Blaster live 5.1 on Windows XP machine

I've been using?Sound Blaster Li've! Platinum 5. on my pc running Win ME for years. I've just formatted the PC and installed Windows XP Professional on it and now when I try to install Sound Blaster from the original installation CD, I get the error "Sound blaster li've 5. is incompatible with this version of windows". It still allows me to install but then I get all sorts of errors when playing back audio files etc.
I've now?re-installed XP but obviously can't use Sound Blaster and I would really like to!
I'm a musician and not?technically minded?at all so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Can someone help me with this issue?
I have a Toshiba Satellite A210-128 laptop with vista separately on DVD, but it seems that the dvd is damaged and I can not use it any more.
I have installed on my laptop a brand new Vista from the original DVD that Im using it on my desktop, but the problem is that vista can not detect my graphic card hd2600.
So Im stuck...... I tried to install the ati driver from the Toshiba update site but I get a error because ccc can not detect a graphic card ?????/
What to do????
It is something special with the DVD that i have from Toshiba ?????

The whole issue is really mysterious. In my opinion there are two options;
Either your have used and tried to install a wrong graphic driver or there is something wrong with your GPU chip.
Are you 100% that you tired an right graphic driver from the Toshiba European driver page?
If yes, then I recommend contacting the ASP in your country because this could be really an hardware issue.

IPhone 3GS can not detect SIM Card after upgraded to iOS 6.0.1

Guys I really need your advice please...
I upgraded my iPhone 3GS 32GB from iOS 5.1.1 to 6.0.1 a couple weeks ago and since then it can not detect the my SIM Card ever. Before it's been upgraded, the phone was working just fine, but now it's just like a gameboy to me. I've been trying to find solution and some stores want me too pay quite amount of money to fix it but I refused.
By the way, it has been jailbroken with RedSnow, tethered of course... and all the features are working perfectly, the WiFi is working, syncing is working, Bluetooth is working, downloading apps from App Store is okay, but only Mail and Safari won't work. I haven't got a chance to go to Apple Service Center to fix it yet, but the store I went said that Apple may say the same.

Airplay can not detect apple tv

Airplay mirroring can not detect apple TV.
I upgraded to mountain lion this morning and the air play icon appears on my macbook pro but it can not detect my apple tv. Apple tv is running 4.4.4 gen 2.
Any ideas?
Here's the interesting part, when I disable airplay on the appleTV the icon on my macbook disappears and vice versa.

4.4.4 is old. It may be the reason but I can't confirm as my AppleTVs are 5.0+ and none of my Macs can Airplay.

WRT54GS Can not detect the router

We lost the internet connection a few days ago for a couple of hours and since then had to reset the modem and when I try to set up the router with the Easy Link Advisor I get can not detect the router. I am using the router to access the internet and it can't be detected???
I have powered it off enough times and then some and need to get this running to use the laptops.
I am running ver 7 firmware that it came with but I don't know what the exact version I am running or gor that matter where to find it.

okay went through the firmware upgrade and installed it through 192.168.1.1 to admin tab and upgrade. it got to the reboot part and hung there for a bit, i hit continue or what ever it said and came back upwith a dns error and page unreachable. version installed is what i downloaded 7.50.5. i am still having the same problem, all the lights are lit that are suppossed to be lit, and i am on the internet and running through the router, and when i go into easylink advisor and start the setup process i have to go through the entire thing including selecting the router (which it should know what router it is) though removing the power cord and waiting and still told that it can not detect the router. i have no idea where to go from here. thanks!
