Can not download to my mac!?

I follow instructions for up grade then nothing happens. Message says it will happen automatically in a few seconds but it does not.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
* Firefox 6.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded

  • I can not download FlashPlayer for MAC

I am trying to download Adobe Flash Player for my MAC.
I have created my ID on Adobe site, I made a confirmation and I really know my password.
But, I have initiated the download and the password was requested, I put all the information: ID and password, but it was not acceptable.
I don't know what to do.

    Hello juliana,
The password being requested is your Mac password.  It is not your AdobeID password.

FireFox can't open lots of files it isn't suposed to. DMG is opened by the Mac osx as a virtual volume file you just drag the FireFox icon to where you want it installed. Check your desktop for a FireFox volume... like a drive. Double click the DMG file if it is not there. This is how Mac works it has nothing to do with FireFox, many apps install this way!

  • Will a program mention for MAC OSX be allowed to download on the newest iPad version. If so, how do I get past the "safari" can not download this file?

No, because iPads do not run Mac OS X. They run iOS.

    Hi Sandra,
you'll need to edit the security settings to install programs 'Mac App Store and identified developers'
Open the Systems Preference and go to Security & Privacy.  There will be a section in the 'General' tab for 'Allow apps downloaded from:"  The default selection is 'Mac App Store'.  Change this setting to 'Mac App Store and identified developers".
This screenshot is taken on OS X 10.10 (Yosemite), so it may look slightly different if you're on a different OS X version.

  • ""Install Adobe Flash Player.app" can't be opened because... not downloaded from the Mac App Store"

I jsut upgraded to 10.9 and it is up to date and also my safari is up to date (no updates available for it). My safari is saying that my flash is out of date. when I follow the links it lets me download but when I double click to install it tell me "“Install Adobe Flash Player.app” can’t be opened because it was not downloaded from the Mac App Store.". When I install the flash UNinstaller and try to install that, it tells me the same. I ALSO found the exact same problem when I tried to install the acrobat installer (some tried to download a pdf and the page told me that my acrobat reader 'might' be out of date). Any thought?

You're running up against the GateKeeper.
Download the offline installer: Flash Player 12.0.0.44 (Mac OS X) by right clicking and choosing "Download Linked File As".
Mount the DMG and when it opens, right click the installer and choose "Open".
You'll see a warning. Click "Open" again.
    It will run from there.

  • HT5568 I have Mac OS X 10.7.5- can not download safari from anywhere, what should I do?

I have Mac OS X 10.7.5- can not download safari from anywhere, what should I do?

Safari is part of OS X 10.7.5, and your downloads should be via  > Software Update...
Can you provide some details on why you're trying to download Safari?  Did Safari get deleteed from the dock or from the /Applications folder?  Is Safari failing somehow?
There are ways to re-load Safari using the standard updates, if so.  That usually involves re-applying the combo update kits, but I'd not start with that as a suggestion without knowing a little more about what's causing you to seek to re-download Safari...
And FWIW, and this may well be obvious to you, but — based solely on your phrasing, as I don't know how familiar you are with this stuff — recognize that sites claiming to offer {Safari or other web browsers, video codecs, flash players, system performance accellerators, anti-virus software,  cache cleaners, games, whatever} can be distributing malware for OS X.  Once the tool is downloaded and installed and authenticated, then the tool can do whatever it wants.  Put another way, please don't try downloading Safari from anywhere.  Please get Safari only from the Apple web site.

  • Where can I download iBooks for Mac? I did not find it in APP store. Thanks

Where can I download iBooks for Mac? I did not find it in APP store. Thanks

Do you have a backup. If so you should be able to restore it from that. Otherwise you can reinstall OS X. See Carolyn's post in I accidentally deleted iBooks on my Macbook Pro (late 2011) running on OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite. Will iBooks be reinstalled if I install the next OS X major update once it is out?

  • Can not download iTunes Match songs on my Mac. iPhone, iPad work fine.

I can not download iTunes Match songs on my Mac. It gives an error stating that only one Apple ID can be used at a time with iTunes Match and asks me to wait 72 days until I can download any songs!? Tried to turn off iTunes Match in an attempt to reset it. And now I can't turn it back on. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm pretty sure the songs will need to be physically present on the computer you are syncing the Nano with, but I'm not 100% sure.
Edit: I just attempted to sync music that I have stored in the iCloud, but not written on my harddrive to an iPod Classic and it only syncs the music that is present on the computer. I tried to grab a few iCloud file and throw it on the iPod, but I had to download them before it would work.
So, yes. You do have to have the files already downloaded to sync to a non iOS 5 iDevice.

  • I can not download my apps from my mac to my iphone 4s since it had the newest update in 2013

I can not download my apps from my Mac since I have updated my iphone 4s to your new version in 2013 my vesion of my mac is 10.6.8 please help!!
    thanks

Your reply is not very easy to read due to the lack of punctuation.
You have the left-hand sidebar enabled (option-command-S on a Mac), and you've connected and selected the phone on that sidebar and are using the Apps tab on the right-hand side of the screen to select which apps to install e.g. from http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12115
And clicking 'install' next to the apps that you want to install and then 'apply' at the bottom right of the screen doesn't install them onto your phone ?

¿No puedo descargar mac os x mountain lion de la apple store, ¿Que hago?

I can not download mac os x mountain lion in the apple store, what should I do? The mac app store says: "Unable to verify file distribution. May be damaged or not signed."

Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Click Go then move the NetworkInterfaces.plist file from the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store and try downloading Mountain Lion.
