Can not get output from Objective DAC without Pulseaudio [SOLVED]

I have owned the ObjectiveDAC/O2 Amp combo for a couple of months now. Unfortunately I was unable to get the device to function properly without pulseaudio installed. When trying to configure it on a pure alsa system, I can set it as the default control card in alsamixer. The issue is that when I set it as the default pcm device, it fails to work. I can select the device in pulseaudio fine, and my system recognizes the device in alsa, however I cannot, for some reason, actually use the device. It seems that pulseaudio butchers sound quality, and I would greatly appreciate any help being able to get my device working without it. I can't believe that any sane individual would actually make part of the audio stack downmix audio by default.
It was just a lack of understanding of Alsa's config syntax. I do apologize for taking up space on the forums. I now have Alsa running with my DAC just fine.

Yeah that's what I meant. Try to burn a new cd at a slower speed. When the new one is done create a hashsum of the new burn and compare it to the iso you used to burn it with. I only say this because a few times in the past when I had sr0 errors while booting live cds it was because the disk was messed up and I had to burn it again.

  • Can not get data from database

    hi all,
        there is a problem ,  when i write like below :
    SELECT * FROM bsis INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE it_temp
              WHERE bukrs = p_bukrs
                AND hkont = p_hkont.
    p_bukrs , p_hkont are all on the selection screen , and p_bukrs = 1200 another is eq blank. i can not find any data , but with the same condition i can find some data in database , when i debeg i found that p_hkont is initial.
        when i write like this :
    SELECT * FROM bsis INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE it_temp
              WHERE bukrs = p_bukrs .
    this time i can find the data like the database.
        so , does someone know where the problem is , why i can not get data ?
    kind regards
    kevin

    hi,
    if u r  using bukrs and hkont as parameters in selection screen then
    SELECT * FROM bsis INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE it_temp
    WHERE bukrs = p_bukrs
    AND hkont = p_hkont.
    this will work.
    if u r using then as select-option then the above does n't work.
    bcoz select-options work as internal table bcoz of that u have use the query like this
    SELECT * FROM bsis INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE it_temp
    WHERE bukrs IN p_bukrs
    AND hkont IN p_hkont.

    Thank you for your answer.
    I'm very new to mySql as server. When I was assigned
    to write the application, the administrator has set
    up mySql database in the company web server for my
    application. My program runs very when using my
    workplace desktop with java web start or with java
    web start in netbeans (all paths should be link to my
    desktop hard disk, i.e. users/application/). I can
    not run the application at home because I can not
    access to the company intranet server (for security
    purpose). The problem happens when I post the
    application in the company web page (I have to modify
    all paths in jnlp file to the company web address).
    The program then runs without exception except it
    seems that it gets no data from the database (for
    example, when I type my username, it returns that
    "There is no such user name. contact.." as what I
    code in the application for not correcting user name)
    It happens for not only using my company desktop but
    also for others.
    Please help me.
    Thank you in advance.And all this could have been answered yesterday, in your other thread, when I asked you "Is the DB configured to allow that user to connect to the DB from where that user is attempting to connect from?"
    Seeing as how you get that error, the obvious answer was, "No." At which point we could have continued.
    Configure the needed users into the DB, without forgetting to allow them access from the machines from which they are going to access from.
    Although, I agree with Rene, that you should set up a server of some sort, located on the same machine as the DB, for communicating with the DB.

  • 2.1 RC1 - Can not get data in Object viewer

    Hi,
    I open the table and change the tab to "Data" then error message is shown in the Data Editor Log panel.
    The message is "ORA-00923: FROM keyword not found where expected".
    This table has more than 100 columns. I guess that the SQL statement is too long so whole statement is not send to Oracle.
    EA2 work successfully.

    Hi,
    RaghvendraSaboo
    SELECT command is working in worksheet both 'select * from table' and 'select col1, co2,... from table'.
    Only object viewer can not show values.
    Here is the result of DESC command below.
    Thanks.

  • Not getting outputs from JavaScript Patch in QC2

    The JavaScript Patch no longer generates outputs from outputs[n]. The outputting of data just stopped.
    An example output generator (no other instructions in the JavaScript patch):
    outputs[0] = "string";
    was sent to an Image With String patch and then to a Billboard patch (the only existing patches). No text appeared in the viewer. When in Editor, the cursor placed over Output #0 shows only:
    Type Virtual
    with no value. The input string into Image With String shows "".
    When disconnecting the JavaScript patch from the Image With String patch and I entered "help", the text help appeared in the viewer.
    I reinstalled Quartz Composer and there was no change. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

    What I've learned: the Tascam 122L has known issues when working with Leopard. Back in the store, I plugged another external card (Presonus Audiobox USB), which immediately worked with the Mac as though they were friends since birth.
    I am rapidly warming to Mainstage.

  • Not getting output from pic-servo board

    Greetings everyone and thanks in advance. I wish to use a Pic-Servo SC controller  board (http://www.jrkerr.com/) to control a single stepper motor, using LabView. Here's what I've done so far:
    -I already have installed 32 and 64 bit LabView (2011) and tried the test program in both
    -VISA controller is properly installed
    -USB to Serial FT232R converter is also installed, and configured in 19200 baud rate
    -COM3 port is shown as the assigned port for the controller, and selected as such in LV
    So far, I have managed to get the test program to run without communication errors, but upon sending any commands to the motor, it is completely unresponsive and behaves like it has no current or controller attached, despite it being configured in the basic 1-motor setup specified by Jrkerr site.
    Any help, comment or suggestion about how I could manage to get the motor moving will be welcome.

    Van you attach the manual? I get an error every time I try. I'm not convinced that it is RS485 from the brief product description. It talks about buying a RS232-RS485 adapter to communicate to multiple controllers.

  • Can not get images from camera roll in Iphone into Itunes

    When I sync my iPhone with iTunes then sync it as normal, but it is not just the pictures located on Kamara roll in over the iPhone with iTunes. It tends to make it otherwise, what can I do?

    Camera roll photos are not synced at all.
    You need to import them as you would import pics from any digital camera:

    I was taking a look at your code and the following example LabVIEW Embedded for ARM I2C Example  and there may be an issue with the front panel not updating correctly.  Can you use breakpoints and probes to check the wire values?  This will let you verify whether the values are actually coming through and just not updating on the front panel.
    Also are you able to run that example (you'll have to create a new ARM project to use the example with the LM3S8962)?  The example looks very similar to what you are already doing.

  • Can't get output from a MessageDialog

    Hello all JAVA-proggers,
    I have a problem, and i don't know what it is.
    I have a button on my screen an if i push the button a input dialog must appear.
    That;'s all fine, but what the user puts in the dialog screen is not pick up by my program.
    You can see the here.
    After input is given, i has to be added to the database.
    For error checking i have added a println with the user input, but nothing happens :(
    Hope someone can help me...
        private void btnAddCashActionPerformed(java.awt.event.ActionEvent evt) {
            // Add your handling code here:
            if (selectedCustomer == null){
                JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "Selecteer een barklant!","INPUT_ERROR", JOptionPane.INFORMATION_MESSAGE);
            else {
            String addCash = JOptionPane.showInputDialog(this, "Hoeveel moet er bij geschreven worden?","ADD_CASH",JOptionPane.QUESTION_MESSAGE);
            System.out.println("user input addCash: "+addCash);
            int id = selectedCustomer.getId();
            Customer newCustomer = new Customer(addCash, id);
            theAdmin.cashCustomer(newCustomer);
            selectCustomerId();
            showCustomer(selectedCustomer);
        }

    For error checking i have added a println with the
    user input, but nothing happens :(What do you mean? It doesn't print:
    user input addCash: xxxx
    at all? Then you aren't executing what you think you are (didn't recompile it? have a different version of that class in your classpath?). Or it threw an exception that you swallowed somewhere, or? You need to do more debugging.

  • Can I get apps from BlackBerry World without using PayPal?

    My billing plan doesn't allow carrier billing.
    The BlackBerry World website apparently doesn't do billing for some apps.
    (Even though the help for the web site says it does.)
    Is there a way to avoid using PayPal?

    Hi, JerryRigged
    I use a pre-paid debit card on my BlackBerry World account.  I keep less than 50 bucks on there, just to make purchases.  It works well for mine.  Hope that helps,
