* GNUsound may not show up in the GNOME application menu since GNUsound
will be installed in a different location from where the GNOME expects
it.
To solve this issue, either configure GNUsound using
'./configure --prefix=/usr'
or create the following symbolic link after performing 'make install':
'ln -s /usr/local/share/gnome/apps/Multimedia/gnusound.desktop /usr/share/gnome/apps/Multimedia/gnusound.desktop'
If these settings are OK you can type 'make' to compile.
[al@myhost gnusound-0.7.4]$ make

I and, then other programs want compile get this ('*** No targets. Stop.') error.

  • Help: OJSPC can not compile the JSP with struts tag

    Hi,
    I am trying to precompile the JSP page with EAR package but OJSPC can not parse the Struts tags.
    I always get oracle.jsp.parse.JspParseException:
    Error: org.apache.struts.taglib.html.MessgesTei while reading TLD /WEB-INF/tld/struts-html.tld
    My OC4J version is 10.1.3.2 and I did tried putting the struts-taglib.jar to /opt/oracle/product/app10g/j2ee/home/jsp/lib or /lib/taglib
    but still do not work.
    Can anyone tell me how to configure the OJSPC and let it support customerized taglibs?
    Thanks a lot!

    This is a new problem with jdk1.4 when compiling with tomcat.
    The solution is to ensure that any classes in WEB-INF/classes are in a package structure and the relevant jsp calls the same using the package name.

    when i compile the code ,it show errors :

    But when I donot include the TTCmd.h ,it compile OK! why??? who can help me ???

    Neither is specifically supported on Centos. Please check the Release Notes for the versions of Linux that TimesTen is certified on. For example:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21901_01/doc/timesten.1122/e21630/toc.htm
    Linux x86-32 and x86-64:
    •Oracle Linux 4, 5 and 6
    •Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, 5 and 6
    •SUSE Enterprise Server 10 and 11
    •MontaVista Linux CGE 5.0 and 6.0x
    •Asianux 3.0
    My understanding is that Centos is a free source-recompile of RedHat Enterprise Linux so in all likelihood TimesTen will run without a problem on it, but we do not officially support TimesTen on Centos. I'm just bringing this to your attention in case it's important later on.

  • Can not compile package

    Hi,
    I have package and it is invalid. When I try to compile it starts to compile but not stop. I think it is locked or something else. I renamed it and compiled and it worked. Functions in package runned also.
    But I want the orginal package to run.
    Does anyone has idea about this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    If you have killed all the session using this package, it may take sometime to rollback the transactions. Mean while also make changes in the package, so that it commits its transaction at the end of logical transaction end otherwise you will face this issue again. After sometime you can compile the package.
    Other option may be to restart the database in restricted mode. Make your changes, compile the package and then put the database in normal mode.
    Regards

  • Can not compile php with "-with-oracle=/usr/local/oracle"

    I work on Linux engine with a x86_64 architecture and use Oracle 10g 10.2.0.1 client for x86_64 linux
    so - when i try to compile php with the oracle argument (-with-oracle=/usr/local/oracle) i get everytime the same error:
    checking Oracle version... configure: error: Oracle needed libraries not found
    I think, maybe i have a problem because configure not found my "64 bit libraries"...
    Can someone help me? I am realy helpless...
    thx

    Did you really want the obsolete "oracle" driver - why not use --with-oci8?
    The user comments in http://www.php.net/oci8 have some good info on 64bit configuration.

    Package gdk-pixbuf-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
    Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gdk-pixbuf-2.0.pc'
    to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable.
    How can I do fix it?
    thanks.

    As far as I can see it seems that your patches are actually doing something to sched_bfs.c, so it's probably their fault.  eldragon's advice could verify that.

  • File sys/tsol/label.h not found, can not compile sendmail on Sol-10 x86

    I am building sendmail 8.14.2 on Solaris 10 on an Intel machine and encountered this error.
    File <rpc/rpc.h> is including the file <sys/tsol/label.h>
    but there is no sys/tsol directory.
    The file <sys/tsol/label.h> and the directory <sys/tsol/> are on
    Sparc Sol 10 and belong to the SUNWhea package.
    The Intel machine has the SUNWhea package completely installed
    but the <sys/tsol> directory or the files are not part of that package.
    What package do I need to install on the Intel machine?

    insert CD 1 or the DVD into your machine and boot it upThanks!
    The machine is not physically near me, so
    are there options using DVD / CD image files?
    (a) Like mounting the image as a disk (lofiadm etc)? or
    (b) mounting the images on another Sol 10 machine,
    exporting from there using nfs etc?
    Thanks
    Added later:
    I logged onto the sunsolve site using my email address,
    the same login I used to download CD image of the OS.
    When I tried to download the patch cluster it told me:
    SunSolve Patch Access
    You have encountered the following error(s) or warning(s):
    o This download is only available to users with a valid Sun Service Plan associated to their SunSolve user account
    o Please click the Edit Account link to update your sunsolve contract number
    Also, I located this document on Sun's site: Solaris 10 : Network based installation,
    so I think I'll get the information to upgrade in it.
    Thanks again.

  • JDeveloper can not compile special file

    Hello,
    I am using JDeveloper 10g ( version 9.0.5.2 ).
    I have developed a project using ADF model and developing work ( coding, compiling,debugging,..) ok.
    But, this morning i open project again compile it ok.But affter i add some new lines code into a class,i compile again and get compiling successfull message.But when i run it, the result the same as the old code ( i mean the new code is not recognized by JDeveloper ).
    So, i place a breakpoint at new new added line code, the debugger bypass these new lines code and JDeveloper does'nt know the new declared variables.I don't know why??
    Please help me,
    Thanks

    Hi Frank Nimphius,
    These new lines code are added at the first line of code block, Jdeveloper debugger still inorges it.
    I have done:
    - delete all class file
    - remove the source file from the project
    - delete the source file from file system
    - add a new class with the same name to project again
    - code old code ( including the new lines code is added ) and paste to new source file
    After that,i rebuild all project and it debug ok. ( i mean Jdeveloper debugger know the new code ! ).
    Then i add new some codes again ( at the beginning of method body,so i am sure these code is reached ) and the the Developer debugger inorge them again !!!!

    Can't reproduce here. oss has built just fine on multiple 2.6.38 rc's as well as the mainline release. I'd say your kernel config and/or package is at fault.

    Can anyone help me, please?

  • Can not compile HelloServlet3.java with ServletUtilities

    hi guys,
    i have another compiling error with the ServletUtilities in the HelloServlet3.java.
    the following is the error, please check it out
    C:\SERVLETcode\hello3>javac HelloServlet3.java
    HelloServlet3.java:23: cannot resolve symbol
    symbol : variable ServletUtilities
    location: class moreservlets.HelloServlet3
    out.println(ServletUtilities.headWithTitle(title) +
    ^
    1 error
    i already check the classpath
    classpath = .;c:\servletcode;tomcat4\common\lib\servlet.jar
    i think it is correct because i can compile the HelloServlet1.java and HelloServlet2.java, except the HelloServlet3.java
    so can anyone help me out of it....
    thank you in advance....
    the source code is herepackage moreservlets;
    import java.io.*;
    import javax.servlet.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    public class HelloServlet3 extends HttpServlet {
    public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request,
    HttpServletResponse response)
    throws ServletException, IOException {
    response.setContentType("text/html");
    PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
    String title = "Hello (3)this is test3";
    out.println(ServletUtilities.headWithTitle(title) +
    "<BODY BGCOLOR=\"#FDF5E6\">\n" +
    "<H1>" + title + "</H1>\n" +
    "</BODY></HTML>");

    My guess is that you need to have an import statement for the ServletUtilities class. If it's in the classpath, then the webserver loads that jar and knows about the classes inside it, but your servlet still needs to import the ServletUtilities class to use it (unless they are part of the same package and are in the same directory hierarchy).
    I hope this helps,
    Val

  • Can not compile a servlet!

    Hi!
    so.. I import
    import javax.servlet.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    ..and then I write mi servlet. But javac tels me :

    do you have servlet.jar included in your classpath? do you have a servlet runner? if not, go to jakarta.apache.org and download tomcat.

  • Can not compile

    Hi!
    I am very new to java. I am experienced RPG programmer tying to learn. I try to use javac hellojava.java from book. keep saying cannot read. what i did wrong?

    Steps to build a java program
    1) create a directory (C:\projects)
    2) open notepad, or other editor, and create a java class
    public class HelloWorld {
        public static void main(String [] args) {
         System.out.println("Hello World!");
    }3) save the above file as HelloWorld.java (case sensitive)
    4) open a command window
    5) cd to \projects (or what ever dir you saved HelloWorld.java in)
    6) type javac HelloWorld.java
    7) type java HelloWorld
    Ta Da! you have just run your first java program
    If anything doesn't work, post the entire error message here.
