Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. However, this Flash version won't work for many videos on Facebook, YouTube and other sites. Adobe's latest version, 10.2.x or later, is only for Intel Macs. Adobe will not provide a newer Flash version for PPC Macs.
The message requesting that you download Adobe Flash Player takes you to Flash Player requiring an Intel processor. Doesn't work on a PowerPC processor. I found a hack, installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

install 6.5 before proceeding further. I coud not understand.
Just what it says - install os 10.6.5 before proceeding further.  You can either do so through Software Update or use the Combo update from Apple's download site.
You should repair permissions and restart your computer prior to updating and upgrading.

    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You must purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and
               terms apply.
Actually, you cannot download Snow Leopard. You downloaded a Snow Leopard updater.

  • Why I can not install the iTunes to my new 64bit laptop??? I have never had this kind of problem before on my 32 bit old laptop...

I would like to get a help... I can not install the iTunes to my new (64bit) laptop... Why??? The installation stops somewhere after a few minute, looks like trying to install but can not go through until the end. I had my old (32bit) laptop and i have never had any problem with the installations... My new laptop is Asus (64bit), and the operating system just upgraded from Win8 to Win8.1....

    Hello rafaelfromweymouth
Start with the first article and clear out any files in the Temp folder. You may need to remove iTunes and its related software and finally make sure that you have the 64-bit version of iTunes downloaded to install.

  • Can not install the Ipod software on Windows XP SP2

Hello, I can not install the 'Ipod logiciel' [Ipod software?] for my Ipod Nano on my PC with Windows XP SP2. I don't have any error messages but the installation gets stopped just before its end. I mean, the Install Shield Program disappears while the steps "Publication of the product information" Does somebody know what's happening or where the problem might comes from? I would really appreciate your help. Merci d'avance,
    William

I have the same problem. The old version 4.7 works fine on XP but upgrading to version 6.0 or above gives me an error message that says ( The iTunes music library .itl file is locked on a local disk or you do not have permission for this file.) I bought my wife a Nano and the XP machine won't see the Nano, but if I plug the Nano into my Laptop with Win 2000 with the same 4.7 version of iTunes it will work just fine. The only problem is that all the music files are on the desk top machine. I can load the nano but I have to do it in a round about way. I tried updating iTunes about 6 different times with the same results. You must remove Itunes through ad/remove hardware in windows, restart win. then reinstall the older version. I tried the repair rout several times but that did no good.Good luck and I hope Apple can help us out with these problems!

i was installing windows 8 on mac by boot camp and after i put the windows code and choose the partition i formatted the boot camp sector it said windows can not install on this sector because it is gpt

Reinstalling Mavericks depends on several factors:
if you erased your recovery partition
what OS originally came on your Mac.
I'll assume you don't have a backup available that you made before your mishap,  because you didn't mention it.
That's really the take home message here: have a backup!
If you still have your recovery partition:
boot into the recovery partition (command R at restart)
use the recovery partition to reinstall Mavericks. see: OS X: About OS X Recovery
if you do not still have your recovery partition, then it depends on whether your Mac originally came with installer disks or not.
If it originally came with installer disks, you would boot from the installer disks, erase your HD, and then reinstall the OS that is on the installer disks, and then upgrade as necessary until you get to Mavericks.
If your mac did not originally come with installer disks, but you managed to erase your recovery partition, then you can try to boot into internet recovery (option-command-R at restart), and use internet recovery to erase your HD and reinstall the OS that originally came with your computer, and then upgrade to Mavericks if you need to. See: Hands on with Mountain Lion's OS X Recovery and Internet Recovery | Macworld
(the reference refers to ML but it applies just as well to Mavericks).

You should contact the vendor, and request a refund, or an exchange for a Full Retail Version, of the Tiger Install DVD.
If that is not an option, advise if you would like purchasing information.
Be sure not to, again accept grey, upgrade or machine specific CDs or DVDs.

  • Can not install 10.5 on external hard drive.

This is the situation I took my old hard drive from my old desktop that has 10.4.11 installed and put it into an external USB hard drive case.  It shows up on the desktop but I can not install 10.5 on it from the disk.  Using disk utility it indicates that the drive is bootable.  But I can not get to be read as a destination drive.
I want to use this drive in part for parallels desktop and windows NT.

Yeah, that's it. The Partition Map Scheme is set for APM, which is OK for a disk on an Intel machine, unless you want to Install Leopard or upgrade Leopard on it. That's when you need to use GUID.
You can use SuperDuper to create a clone on an APM drive and an Intel machine will boot just fine, you just can't run the updates. I do this for a drive that I've partitioned into two parts, one for my bootable clone, and the other for TM.
I have SuperDuper clone my boot drive to the external drive every week and don't worry about updating the clone. That way, if an upgrade screws up my machine, I can boot from the other drive and reclone the last working system to my boot drive.
I only use TM to track older files, on the fly, and don't want to have to boot from the DVD to restore my machine and get back to work. I do the work I want right away with the clone and then any changes are cloned back to the original boot drive when I have time.

  • Can not install Win7SP1_IT_GRC_MCA_MP.cab

    Hello,
the actual SCM 3.0 package (Version: 3.0.60, Setting Library Version:2.0.82001) includes the Win7SP1_IT_GRC_MCA_MP.cab as part of the Windows 7 SP1 baseline attachment \ guides.
Unfortunately includes the .CAB file MPpackage.xml. The import SCM (.cab) process searches for package.xml in the .cab file. The Import Baseline Wizard therefore always displays
an error (The package appears to be missing the required component 'package.xml'. Double-click the file to view more details about this error.) and as the result no import is possible.
Can Microsoft provide an updated .cab file which could be installed? A workaround would be fine as well.
    Cheers

install rootsh from the app manager
be sure to add the extras and extras-devel repositories.
    open xterm
    sudo gainroot
    apt-get upgrade -y
    apt-get install mymenu
as for teamviewer, i see it has linux, but not sure about the installation.  if it has a web access to see all you pc's then you should be able to use your microb browser or the firefox browser.
i know that logmein.com works fine on the firefox browser which is a similar product that is also free.

  • Uploaded latest version of itunes on imac. Can not install?

Uploaded Itunes 11 on imac. Can not install.

iTunes 11 requires Snow Leopard 10.6.8. According to your signature you have Leopard 10.5.8, so you can't install it. If you don't have the highest version Leopard can handle then Software Update will update it for you, but for iTunes 11 you would have to upgrade your computer to Snow Leopard. This is available in the online Apple Store:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Your Mac must have an Intel processor, 1GB of RAM and 5GB of free hard disk space - with a 2009 model you should be OK.
