Can not listen Off line music without Internet con...

Hi ,
I downloaded the "Nokia mix top60" to my lumia for Offline usage.
I though it was working fine , then I entered the Subway , and the music stopped.
The nokia mix application is complaining that there is no Internet connection.
Is it so that even dowloaded mix can be listen only when having Internet connection?
thank you

You should not need a connection. A downloaded mix canm be used in a plane, at the top of Mount Everest or wherever. The mix will need to refresh every month or so, but you would see a notification message about that.
When exactly did you download the mix? One thing that comes to mind is that if you had just downloaded it, ie: you had been listening live, liked the mix and set it downloading, this might explain things. You cannot play a downloaded offline mix until the whole mix, all of its songs, are downloaded, in the meantime you could still be listening to the same mix via live streaming as the offline copy downloads.
If the offline copy of the mix was still downloading at the time you entered the subway and you lost your connection, the download obviously stops as does the live stream that you are listening to.
If this does not describe your situation and you are sure that you had fully downloaded the mix (specifically: you downloaded it previously and had listened to it on a separate occasion), then perhaps you could provide more information about the circumstances of your downlaod and listening so that we can investigate further.

RainyRain958 you are just BSs. There is no cellular iPod. Here is the comparison

  • I have an Ipod 5 and you can not listen to music unless you have headphone plugged in

I have an Ipod 5 and you can not listen to music unless you have headphones plugged in

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

  • My computer crashed. So does this mean I can not add any more music to my ipod from a different computer without all the songs being erased? Can I sync my ipod to a new computer if I allow all the songs to be erased?

My computer crashed. So does this mean I can not add any more music to my ipod from a different computer without all the songs being erased? The ipod works fine and now i got a new computer. So it seems like my only options are leaving my ipod in a state where i cant add anymore songs or erasing all my songs and trying to use my ipod from my new computer. Can someone please inform me on how to have my ipod work from a different computer, even if i have to erase my songs. Thanks.

Yes, if you choose the Erase and Sync option (or restore your iPod) you will be allowed to sync your iPod with the new computer.

What kind of videos are you watching?
You need to force quit Safari, but hitting Command-option-esc, and force quit Safari.

You cannot stream music from iCloud. The song that you play on your iPhone must be on your iPhone. I do not know how convenient it is to sync a song from iCLoud play it, then delete it and sync the next song frm iCloud and play it, etc. I just put the music I am currently interested in traveling with me on my iPhone. That is currently 9GB of music on a 32GB iPhone.

  • New location, why is my Gmail account not accessible (off-line)

I have been using Earthinklin and Gmail, on a 2011 iMac 21.5" and I have several Google accounts through non-profit organizations for drives and mail (although I don't use the mail).  Today I traveled with my iMac about 400 miles and set up to work, but my Gmail is not accessible (off-line), but my wife's account is working fine, and in fact mail defaults to using her account (we share everything).  I have made sure my original Gmail mail account is the one that I'm signed into with this iMac, but Apple mail still says that it is inaccessible.  I'm using a local wifi account to access the internet. Is there a nuance about having multiple Gmail accounts and/or moving my iMac to a new network that is confusing my preferences and/or logins?

according to the site, when i choose to upgrade my primary line.. the thunderbolt is 199.99 with 2 year extension and the Droid 2 incredible is 149.99 with extension.
I called the rep back to double check that this was true, and ask a few other questions before i went to the store today and he told me that it was 249.99 for the TB and 199.99 for the Incredible 2.  I tried to explain to him that i was not a new customer, and that the website said i was eligible to upgrade. He told me he could not sell it to me for that price... what the heck? I don't want to wait to have it mailed but i also don't want to pay 50.00 extra for something I'm am staring at that says i can get it cheaper. He sounded clueless.

  • Can't listen to Line-In through speakers

I've got a SoundBlaster Audigy ADVANCED MB in my new Dell XPS M70 notebook, but for some reason I can't get any audio from the line-in (microphone-symbolled) jack to play through the speakers. I can record it on the computer, but not get it to play in real-time.
According to the help topics, there should be slider in the Surround Mixer settings for Line-In, and I've found it but it's in the REC section and doesn't have a mute / unmute button or anything and I've turned the slider up to max.
When I plug my PSP in to the Line-in jack (using a double-ended cord thing), a window pops up that asks what type of device it is (mic, line-in, etc) and I elect line-in, but still no slider appears in the Source sliders for the line-in.
Anyone know how to fix it's i really want to be able to get the sound from my PSP to play through the notebook's speakers. Remember: I can record the line-in, but not get it to play through the speakers.
Thanks for your help!Message Edited by MasterBeef on 0-02-2006 2:9 AM

Yes, by Creative Mixer I meant the Surround Mixer. WhatUHear will pass unmuted sources to your speakers or headphones whether you "record" it or not. I don't know if your Audigy Advanced MB works this way, but in the Windows volume controls (the yellow speaker icon in your system tray or possibly under Accessories/Entertainment in the Program List), when you click on Options, and then properties, a small window should popup. Normally you would see Playback and Recording radio buttons. At the bottom of this popup window is a list of the sources you can choose to display in the volume controls. If you choose Recording, is WhatUHear listed in that box? If not, then it looks like you don't have that option. If yes, then place a check in the box next to it, click OK, and then in the Volume controls select WhatUHear as your recording source.
However, you should be able to listen to Line-In without WhatUHear. In the Volume controls, see if Line-In is listed under both Playback and Record. If so, make sure it is un-muted in Playback and selected in Record and that the volume sliders are set high.Message Edited by Katman on 0-03-2006 02:08 PM

  • Can not get on line-nor acccess email using road runner

I have stated my problem as clearly as I know how-can not access Mozilla Firefox to the internet or my e mail

While it is true that some things on the internet cannot be done without having the specifically required hardware/software, usually one finds that everything works, although sometimes more slowly. "Not supported" can mean anything from "true doesn't work" to "may work but we have not tested it and therefore say 'not supported'" to the tech is clueless and just tells you "not supported"!!
Most likely, you have not set various internet-related control panels correctly, or maybe all the necessary control panels and extensions didn't get installed (especially if one did a custom installation instead of easy install.) Double check all your settings, as sometimes a stray character or space can upset things.
Are you using a dial-up or a broadband (cable, dsl) connection, as the settings have to be tweaked differently for each?
While an Apple-friendly ISP should not be required, having one is certainly a joy. Go visit www.themacisp.com or www.macdialup.com for a couple which do a good job and have great tech support, or google for others.

  • Can I update iOs using itunes without internet connection?

I am using an ipad mini 2, second generation. I plugged it in to itunes and there was an update avaible for ios 8. Can I update iOs using itunes without internet connection? Thank you

iTunes needs an internet connection to download the update if it has not already. Then it needs to verify the update with Apple servers prior to installation.
So in short, no, you do need at least some form of internet access to update.

  • I can not store all my Music on my internal Macbook pro hard drive so I am storing it on a large external drive connected to my airport extrem.  How do I get Itunes to search for the music here with out trying to copy it to my laptops hard drive??

I can not store all my Music on my internal Macbook pro hard drive so I am storing it on a large external drive connected to my airport extreme (2 TB drive plugged into the USB port).  I see the drive on my laptop and I can add and delete files no problem.  How do I get Itunes to search for the music here with out trying to copy it to my laptop's hard drive?  I don't have enough space to do that.

How did you move the music to the external drive?  What exactly is on the drive?  The entire iTunes folder or only music?  If it is the entire iTunes folder you can do the option+start suggestion earlier.  If you copied only music and did so by dragging it there then you need to delete it again and consolidate/organize it there instead so iTunes tracks the move.  iTunes 12 for Mac: Change where your iTunes files are stored - http://support.apple.com/kb/PH19507
