Can not log onto Yahoo Mail on BootCamp Win7. No problem on OSX

I can use latest version of FF to view my Yahoo Mail account on my MacPro with latest version of Snow Leopard but when I switch to my BootCamp Win7 I can not log onto Yahoo Mail. I don't get any error. It just comes back to the Yahoo Mail log on page. Win7 is current and FF is ver 3.6.13

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Why does my MacBook keep showing a message 'can not connect to yahoo mail', and I have to confirm my password. Then it goes right in. Keeps happening multiple times.

It's a Mac Mail problem. Just read all the threads on all the different problems people have with Apple Mac Mail.

If Alanfromnewtoenards advice does not work, check in Settings Safari that cookies is set to <from visited> Private browsing is Off - and that Java is enabled. All can cause problems with yahoo failing to load, or loading slowly.
If problems persist then also check//clear website data and history.
Also try signing in with either your facebook or google accounts to yahoo from the yahoo log in page in safari.

Can not sign into yahoo mail with Mozzilla

Prior to installing Mozzilla I was able to sign onto Yahoo Mail. Now, when I try to log in, I hit the sign in and nothing happens. If I use IE, then it works fine. I have tried clearing the cookies and cache and still nothing happens

I assume you are using a login page similar to this one:

Can you tell whether scripts are working on the page? For example, leave the username blank and click Sign In. You should get an error message above the box without the page reloading.

Your Firefox settings and info are kept in a folder separate from the Firefox program, called your profile folder. Try creating a test profile, to see if the problem still occurs. See [[Managing profiles]]

Can not open my yahoo mail. Can't find on server but can open in all other browsers

Yahoo mail will not open in Firefox new 4.0 or older versions.
However, I can open in Safari and IE7.
Have talked to several folks that are having the same problem and most are just switching to other browsers and the problem goes away. I would prefer to solve the problem rather than just giving up and switching permanently to another browser. Different computers and I have the same problem. Copying the mail address from IE7 to firefox and it still can not find the mail account. Does find other web addresses just fine. It is something to do with yahoo mail.

Just updated to FF 8, when I attempt to log on to yahoo mail, nothing happens, this is not a problem with gmail or other websites. I also use Lastpass but this again has caused no problems with other websites.

I can not log onto the App Store...

it has been going on now for over 3 weeks...I had a lightning strike and blew out the on board ethernet ports on my Macpro so I use a ethernet to usb adapter now and that works fine for everything including iTunes but I can't log into the App Store, the error is "An unknown error has occurred" I have called and they told me to go to the Genius Bar...did that and the couldn't help and called support and they told them that they would look into it and get back to within 24-48 hours and I have still haven't heard a thing!!! This is very frustrating and I have had several cases opened up about this and nothing is working. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? Thank you.

Guess, you only have another issue with the app store problem. Some cannot login, some are caught into a loop of password prompts...
All is related to Macs with MacOS 10.4.7 - so again.
There are two different solutions trials, one is to go to close all applications then navigate to /var/db/crls and delete there the files crlcache.db and ocspcache.db - reboot the system, empty trash and see if this solved the problem.
If not, second chance is to reset the certificates, mentioned here:
Delete the files /var/db/crls/crlcache.db and /var/db/crls/ocspcache.db. These can be found using Finder’s Go >; Go To Folder menu (Cmd + Shift + G). This resets the cache of accepted certificates in the system. It doesn’t remove them, it just forces the system to rebuild the caches upon restart.
Open Keychain Access (/Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access). Select Certificates in the Category picker on the left side. In the search bar, type in the word Class. Look through that list, and find any certificates that have a blue + symbol over their icon. These are the ones you need to modify.
Select one that has a blue +, and hit Command + I. Click the disclosure triangle beside the “Trust” list to show the list of permissions. Now, what we need to do is to set this certificate to use the system defaults. However, for some reason, when you select it, it doesn’t save. So what you need to do is this. Under “Trust”, where it says “Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)”, change the dropdown menu to say “No Value Specified”. Then, close the window. It will ask for your administrator permissions. Then, open the info pane for that certificate again. Under “Trust” again, now set the dropdown that says “When using this certificate:” to say “Use System Defaults”. You can then close out of the info pane, and enter your password again. Do this for any of the certificates that have a blue + on their icon. There should only be one or two at most.
Restart your system.
So, as you see, it start again with reseting the certificate cache and next manually working the certificates, to ensure proper system setting...
But there are evenly people who failed with this... but you can give it a try
If all fails - then we have to wait for a fix from apple

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)
