Can not open album starter edition 3
Hi can anyone help, I used to be able to run album starter edition ( on windows xp )with no problem. Now when I try to access the programme it gets to the intro with all the guys names on who designed the software and then freezes when it gets to 'initializing model' Ihave tried to reinstall and repair with no result Help! thanks
Is there any resolution to this "startup stalls at 'initialize model' stage" issue? Unfortunately I have this exact same issue.

It has been working fine for ages. ~5K images in the system. Then one day it decided to go on strike. On launch it just stalls at the "initializing model" message on the splash screen.
I've tried the following:
* repaired the application - no change
* reinstalled the application - no change
* opened the [My Catalog.psa] database in Access and run the "compact & repair" database - no change
* renamed the [My Catalog.psa] database to something else, restarted the application. When asked to find teh catalog file or open a new one, navigated to the renamed psa file ... and it stalled also (though the splash screen was not visible at that time, though I have no reason to suspect that it was not at the same stage in the launch sequence
* now this is when it gets interesting: I renamed the [My Catalog.psa] file to something else. On startup it asks to find a catalog file or start a new one - so this time I started a new one, and what do you know ... the application starts up just fine.
The upshot of this (at least it seems to me) is that the application is installed OK / not corrupted as it works OK (I added some images and it all works ok). So, I can only interpret that the catalog file itself is corrupt. But how to find the problem in there and to fix it?
I have scoured this forum and had a long look through the records in all the tables in that DB and I cannot find anything that jumps out as an issue. I have not (yet) found any solutions posted to this forum ... so I need some help. Does anyone have a solution to this really annoying (and apparently widespread) issue?

I have had photoshop starter edition 3.0 on my computer and I have downloaded all my pictures to save them. However, my computer had crashed and I now, can not retreive them because photoshop starter edition is asking for an unlock code which I do not have. However, I can see the photos on the programme but can not access them. Please can you help??Same happened to me a few days ago. Uploaded all of my son's 3rd birthday photos. Then I was prompted to register. When I registered I was told to get the unlock code in the e-mail they sent. The e-mail only said "Sorry! Photoshop Starter is discontinued. Suggested I buy their software for $70.00. Will buying the software allow me to retrieve my photos? Is that my only option? I am awaiting an answer with you.

Do you have Windows 7 64 bit? Then there has got to be those two exe files in the route listed

and in the Adobe Premiere Elements 10 Folder are the two .exe files
Oops. I think that I left out the Adobe in between Program Files and Adobe Premiere Elements 10 when I wrote that path in the previous post.
Another route to those .exe files...right click the desktop icon, select Properties, select Shortcut Tab, and click on Open File Location. If you are getting better results clicking on one of those .exe files than you are double clicking the desktop icon for the program, then
right click the Adobe Premiere Elements.exe file, select Send to: and then Desktop (create shortcut). Then use that shortcut that will appear on the desktop to open the program moving forward. By using the Adobe Premiere Elements.exe file, you will gain the perk of bypassing the Welcome Screen. If you want the Welcome Screen, then just create a replacement desktop shortcut to it the same way but using the Adobe Premiere Elements 10.exe file.
As for the latest driver for your ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650, you should head to the AMD web site and plug in the requested information to see what it shows for your video card driver.

I am having trouble trying to get a code to register my adobe photoshop album starter edition 3.2. I have made many requests and nothing happens. My photos are locked in that programm and can't be used at all. If I had a code to open I coulod transfer them to an up to date program.

Your photos are safe, and are present in the folder on your computer that you specified when importing them. If you used Photoshop Album Starter Edition to import your files from the camera without changing the default folder, look in this folder:
Windows® XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\My Documents\My Pictures\Adobe\Digital Camera Photos
Windows Vista®/7: C:\Users\[User Name]\Pictures\Adobe\Digital Camera Photos

I just find fixed issues where there is not shown my problem and I cannot find the way to write my question about my need of a code for Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2. Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 Photo's Locked in and Can't Get Them Help.
I have Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 and I never used it/registered it until today when I wanted to take all my photos and put them to disk and have them Printed off. I can't do this anymore as their are no codes available and I've done all I can. Please can anyone help I have over 500 photo's locked inside a bloody product I can't even acess. is their anyway of getting the photo's off the product and onto disk.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

The answer is, if you can't get your unlock code from support, don't worry; your photos are not locked into Starter Edition.
If you use Windows Explorer, you could go into My Documents > My Pictures, and look around, perhaps in an Adobe folder for your photos. -

I can no longer upload photos, which sucks. I get an error message thats says : The ODBC data source returned the following error: "[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The search key was not found in any record."

How can I transfer my Photos INCLUDING tags from Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 on a new?
I have some thousand photos on my old PC using Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2.
How can I transfer them on a new PC (and a new more professional photoshop edition) without losing the tags?

downloading PSE5 from here:

PSE5 should be able to find your catalog and you can convert it into PSE5.
If that doesn't work, it may be because you weren't able to run "reconnect
all missing files" in PSA3.2 before attempting the conversion. If all your
photos were still connected, this should work. Then you can open PSE8 and
convert PSE5 into PSE8. Do a "reconnect all missing files" in PSE5 before
you do the conversion. Even though all my files were connected when I
converted PSA2 into PSE5, PSE5 had about 30 unconnected photos.

Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition is not a software that stores images but it rather stores their location in a catalog. So you can uninstall the application if you don't want to use it further and your images will remain in the locations they were already in.

i downloaded adobe reader 8.1.1 and it said it would install the photoshop starter addition too. it does not seem to have done that. how do i install the photoshop album starter edition??

SE didn't delete the Windows Picture and FAX viewer, but by just deleting it, you've left a configuration problem behind.
I'd suggest re-installing the latest version of SE that can be found here:

I am trying to write a class which can open file with selected application. for simplicity, now I just hard code the varaibles.
the problem: if the path or file name has space in it, even it exist, winword still can not open it.
could someone kindly show me what I did wrong and how to do it properly.

Adobe creative cloud has stopped working, all my individual programmes from adobe open and work fine, but when I try to open adobe cloud it starts to open then says adobe cloud has stopped working, looking for a solution then shuts down, I can not open it at all.

I can not open itunes on my computer. It started when an upgrade appeared. Now I get a message that states This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. After installing Novell Vista Client 2 the "MAP INS ROOT S1:=SYS:PUBLIC" doesn't work. Other regular mappings still work from the login script but this does not, whereas it worked fine before. Any clues for a solution? Thanks
